We've stopped here a over a year ago, and was really please with the oyster bar that was there that is no longer. Nevertheless, there were about 12 yummy food vendors to choose from. We decided to give APizza and Cusser;s Roast Beef & Seafood a try. We got everything to go, since we were staying within a min walk. APizza was amazing! We go it by the slice, I wasn't expected much, but it blew my mind!! It was a New Haven style cheese pizza... my first time. The crust is so thin and crisp with a nice chew, the perfect amount of sauce, and nicely cheesy. I was impressed, and can't wait to go back! Cusser's Roast Beef sandwich was delicious as well. My husband is the roast beef connoisseur being from New England and all... he was in heaven! It was juicy and medium rare with a James River BBQ sauce and we added mayo to it per the owners suggestion and it was super tasty. So yes, great options at this food hall, we were very satisfied! We were so thrilled with our snacks, we went back later in the evening for dessert at Mike's pastry... cannolis yum! Thanks Hub Hall for making our tummies happy :)

The ambiance is hard to judge since it is really in the shared space of the Garden. I felt the service was fine, nothing super noteworthy. I ended up with the Crown Street slice and there was a ton of toppings on it. It was great and overall a great option if you want a quick slice to go and you are in the area.

We had the meat lover's pie and oh my. Wgat a delicious fusion animals, cheese, tomatoes and crust. The taste took me back to a pizza I had many years ago at a place in Cambridge--in a great way! They only sell whole pies, which at first seemed annoying (the first time I tried coming here a few years ago I was by myself and couldn't eat a whole pizza alone) so I had to make this my inaugural tasting). But I see that as ensuring you are only eating a fresh product, where all the ingredients cook into each other and come out hot and ready, instead or something reheated from four hours ago because the day was slow. The menu is simple: pizzas and meat skewers. They know what they do well and lean into it hard. The ambiance has a rustic feel, with tall, weathered wooden booths that make eating a close experience, so please bring people you really like! The servers are present but not hovering and checked on us with the kind of frequency that says, "yeah we should let you eat but not forget you are there." I will be back for sure.

The steak tips and lamb tips were cooked very well, juicy and tender though lacking salt and seasoning. Sausage was good, a bit spicy. I didn't understand the addition of the bread, it was dry and there was no butter or olive oil to go with it. Portions were ok for the price. Pizza was ok, not my kind of pizza, the crust is very thin and cracker like, it doesn't hold up under additional toppings. Flavor of sauce and toppings was good, toppings were also generous. Service was fine, it took the wait staff a little bit to notice we were waiting to be seated. Overall it's worth a try, there's a reason they've been in business over 100 years.

The original branch in New Haven is definitely the iconic one and the best tasting but this location did not disappoint. We have been always received by a big welcome. The staff are very pleasant here. Burlington area is not the most welcoming, so seeing good hospitality here outstands. Their Cesar salad is very good. The place is well-maintained. Bathrooms are clean which always speaks about the restaurant. Kudos to the manager and to all staff. Please Don't ever skimp on the quality or quantity of that pecorino Romano.

They have a nice dining room and we found our server to be friendly and efficient. We started with a caesar salad, portion size was huge for a small, but it was just OK. a bit overdressed with a bottled dressing. Nothing special, here. Next , we ordered a red pizza with mozzarella. The crust was cooked to perfection, but I honestly felt it was a little underseasoned. Lots of mozzarella, but no salty flavor. Not sure if they skip parmesan and romano. Did I eat and enjoy, of course. Did I love it? Not so much. Pizza is such a personal food item, and clearly Pepe has a huge and loyal following. I'll return and try again. P.S. I did have the clam pizza in New Haven, and that was not for me :-))

I usually try to get pictures, but I had a light lunch so both slices were demolished. I got a pepperoni slice and a Sicilian cheese slice and also a fountain drink - Pepsi. $13 (I can't remember if it was with tip or not, but I would pay it again). The guy at the counter was nice enough and it has a cute little old school pizza spot vibe (probably because it is one). After 5 minutes, it was ready and I was headed out. I ate these in my parking spot to give reference to the hunger I was having. Can I say how refreshing it is to get slices that aren't burnt to hell? Don't get me wrong - there's the brick over and wood-fired and all that. Okay, I get it, but some places just absolutely burn the eff out of your crust just to reheat and you end up with acrid cardboard slices covered in grease. I tried the foldable pepperoni slice first and yes, it's a bit greasy but we love it. Very tasty and everything worked well; crust had a nice chew and the cheese/sauce/pepperoni all worked very well together. That Sicilian slice sent me; such a nice bite that I was cussing in my car about it (in a good way). Are these Michelin level? No. Do you want a solid slice that you won't be upset about spending money on? Stop by here.
