After waiting a while, our waitress finally came over and took our order. We ordered an appetizer first while deciding on our entrees. A few minutes later, the exact same waitress returned and asked if we wanted to order any appetizers, apparently forgetting that we had already done so. I specifically asked whether the salmon in the Philly roll was fresh or smoked because I don't like smoked salmon. I was assured it was fresh. When it arrived, it was clearly smoked salmon. The bao buns were actually pretty good, although the lettuce was wilted and looked like it had been sitting around for a while. A different server eventually took our entrée order. Less than five minutes later, that same server came back and asked if we were ready to close out our check, despite the fact that we were still waiting for our food and had not received our entrees yet. When the food finally arrived, the ramen was disappointing. The noodles were undercooked and the broth was excessively salty. The katsu curry was the highlight of the meal and was genuinely delicious. Unfortunately, the miso soup that accompanied it was overloaded with dashi powder and tasted overwhelmingly fishy. Which made sense with the overpowering fish market smell upon entering the restaurant. To top it all off, when we were ready to leave, the server brought the credit card receipt for signature but forgot to bring a pen. Between the repeated service mistakes, incorrect menu information, lack of attention to the table, and inconsistent food quality, I'm genuinely surprised this restaurant has managed to stay in business. There was an issue toward the end of the evening when the app stopped working at our table and the table next to ours. The Staff did what they could to fix things; it did take about 20 minutes, though. I'm assuming this isn't typical. Staff did say that this does happen from time to time and the customer needs to exit the app and reorder. Except for the 20 minute delay, things worked fine. We placed at least 12 small orders during our meal. The staff was very good about filling water glasses, bringing our food and taking away empty plates. Really - high praise for the staff.
