The site itself and the bathhouse were very clean, and the host was friendly and welcoming. One of the best surprises was the on-site food truck, which was amazing and such a convenient bonus. The other guests were quiet and respectful, and the whole property felt safe, peaceful, and comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay and would gladly recommend it to others visiting the area.

I'd much prefer a Fairfield, but there are no Fairfield's or Holiday Inns in Silverton less than an hour away. Therefore, when we visit our kids in Silverton, we are happy to pay $100 for a bedroom that doesn't require one of our grandchildren to sleep on the couch. I am grateful that these cabins now exist. They weren't here when our kids first moved to Silverton. The owners are friendly and helpful. We will be staying here on future trips to Silverton. It appears Silver Wind's main business is their RV Park. That is a valuable asset to the community whether their customers are Wind employees, Silverton citizens living in motor homes, or travelers passing through or visiting family in Silverton. Only problem was I didn't have enough time to thoroughly enjoy the park. Manager was attentive and was more than accommodating when we decided we wanted to stay in the additional day, and of course, that day was a holiday so, even though the office was closed, she dressed initiative to put her money in the box. We will definitely stay here every time we bring our camper to Lubbock.

The park is small and very well maintained. The sites have concrete slabs and level ground. the neighboring sites are spaced apart enough to feel you can talk normally and not have the neighbors hear you. Showers are updated and one of the best I've seen in a long time. Laundry is available ($1.75-wash 75¢-dry). The pool is clean and perfect for a swim after a long day. Most sites don't have grills, but there are a few that do. They have grills you can use that are behind the main office and next to the pool. Airport is across the highway, but you cannot hear airplanes or highway noise inside your camper. Several long term campers, but they are super nice and always offer a smile and wave from their clean and well-kept sites. Karen, in the office, is super sweet and welcomed us as if we'd been there a million times. I would highly recommend and have placed it on my list of RV parks to use should I come back through Lubbock.

The grassy areas at , and near our site (119) were covered in sticker burrs. We weren't aware, so when we arrived and took our dogs out, their paws were immediately covered in painful burrs, as were the bottoms of our shoes. For the rest of our one night stay, we carried the dogs to an area nearby without burrs. Management: it is so simple to treat for sticker burrs. Be aware that for overnight you will probably be in the area without any trees. Brutal heat without shade. No picnic table. Good: Large sites. Easy ingress/egress. Pleasant staff, easy check in.

The management was friendly and assured me that all were welcome and speaking Latin was not a requirement. The sites are flat, with new water, electrical, and sewer hook-ups. This is a great place for a stop-over. There are no common bathroom or shower facilities but you can't beat the price. Maybe some would like more trees and shade; I thought it was great -- De gustibus non est disputantum !
