My friend who is close to my menopause age was successful in reaching her goal weight through this weight loss program so I decided to try as well. I consulted with my primary care physician who gave me her blessing on starting the program. My Dr said she knew my medical insurance would not approve which is sad that you have to be obese before insurance will kick in to help you get healthy. I was able to get an appointment very quickly and was pleasantly pleased at the office and staff. The office was clean and had a nice vibe. Esmeralda at the front office and Faith, my medical consultant were both very kind, caring and I felt 100% comfortable. I started in September 2024 with low dose Semaglutide injections and worked my way up to a comfortable dosage where I had no side effects except for a lot of shedding hair which was my bad because I was not getting enough protein in my diet. Once I upped my protein, my hair started growing back and hair shedding was back to normal. It is now 9 months later and I have reached my goal of losing 25 lbs which puts me in the NORMAL BMI range. My BMI was in the OVERWEIGHT range when I began my weight loss journey nine months ago and am back to looking like myself again instead of the bloated, soft body stranger I had been seeing in the mirror for the past 3-4 years. I was also over the moon happy when I got my annual bloodwork results last week. I no longer have unhealthy fatty liver, triglycerides are back to normal range, BP is now great and though I didn't have diabetes, it does run in my family so I had A1C test done and it came back with a healthy 5.2. Anything under 6 is good. Now, I must say that the injections did require some work on my part when I started to get within 10 lbs of my goal. I was at a plateau for weeks so I upped my walking and resistance workouts. Nothing major, just 7-8k steps 4-5x per week and 10-20 minutes of resistance training 3x per week. Happy too that with the fat loss, and exercise, my arms and legs are showing some sexy definition! Woohoo! I also had to cut way down on my beloved wine because I noticed when I had a couple glasses of wine, the weight was stubborn. Anyways, I wish you all much luck should you move forward or not. But as for me, I will continue on low dosage of Semaglutide for a few more months as maintenance to make sure I stay in the healthy BMI range.
