This place has the best Seafood Salada subs.. The only reason it doesnt get five stars, is because their hours are horrible. Luccis needs to get with the program and be open later. At least until 9. They should have the deli open until 8:30....closing the grocery at 7pm is too early. Stop and Shop in Winchester is open until 11pm. Other than that Luccis is the best market around and has high quality food and great staff/employees. I would highly recommend. Their DELI si the best kept secret. A great family owned market that reminds me of the market called Barcelo's years ago in the late 80's. I was in the area around lunch and had heard about their deli and prepared foods so decided to stop in. Trying to eat "lighter" I decided on the prepared greek salad (chopped romaine, cucumbers, a few grape tomatoes, sliced red onions, feta and a small cup of olives and a container of creamy greek dressing) and their Susan's Kitchen Chili which is also prepared in a pint sized contained under a heat lamp located near the rotisserie chicken. The salad was very fresh but the chili was what I'm going to rave about. Packed with chucks of ground beef, perfectly seasoned with a reasonable amount of melted shredded cheese on top and not "soupy". It doesn't look too appealing when you first open the cover but the taste was fantastic. It's a challenge to keep something like that piping hot in a paper container so I'd say it was warm but not hot. I was tempted to try their calzones (wrapped in cellophane also near the rotisserie chickens) and their other options in the one pint containers such as Lasagna & Minestrone. I was a frequent customer of Lucci's for several years. At least 4 times a week. I went in today after the CDC dropped the mask mandate and some guy behind the desk starts screaming "your the 15th person to come in without a mask today" and tries to hand me a mask and yells "put it on" . I told him "Don't talk to me that way you clown" Look if you want to force your customers to wear masks that's fine but talk with respect. He didn't come across as someone with a high IQ to begin with and he didn't come from behind the counter. The counter looks like a cage, a perfect place for this dim wit to be. Disappointed. I was in the area and used to get the italian subs there, they were the best. I got one and it was doused in oregano, couldn't take anything else. I even tried to scrape it off. The bread was also soggy, one thing I hate the most is soggy bread. So sad. read more

This is a good local supermarket, conveniently located off I-93 Exit 38 in Wilmington. The store carries the basic grocery items (including the Shur Fine label), dairy, cold drinks, frozen foods, produce, prepared heat & serve meals section (Susan's Kitchen), seafood, meat, and deli counter in the back. The prices on the shelf groceries are not too bad, tend to be higher than Market Basket. The real draw here seems to be the deli counter in the back which offers overstuffed sandwiches and subs, plus deli meats and deli salads at reasonable prices. Also, they have a good selection of heat and serve meals from Susan's Kitchen including pasta dishes and comfort foods. There's also a microwave nearby to heat up your meal before checking out, very convenient! I stopped here to grab lunch and headed to the back towards the deli counter. I ordered a Large Seafood Salad Sub ($5.49 plus tax) which was made to order quickly and wrapped. I also got a macaroni salad and potato salad ($1.99/lb). Pay at the registers in the front of the store. The large seafood salad sub was heavy and really overloaded on a soft white chewy sub roll with generous amounts of seafood salad (soft imitation crabmeat in mayo), enough extra seafood salad to make another large sub, plus lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and hots. I really enjoyed my sub! The macaroni salad and potato salad ($1.99/lb) were alright, mixed with lots of mayonnaise and very standard for a supermarket deli. This little neighborhood grocery is actually a mask for their real gem. As someone who has been on clients in this area I was getting sick of the same old pizza joints and the fucking sandwich exchange (god I hate that shithole). As a result I took to the yelpisphere and searched the word sandwhich. This grocery store came up and I decided I was goign to just make my own damn sandwhich. If you are on a diet, careful. This place will screw your shit up. Their sandwiches are absolute monstrosities. I have gotten their tuna, turkey, Italian, and cranberry walnut chicken salad subs. They are all awesome, made to order, and retardedly inexpensive (yay suburbs). My one complaint is that it is literally impossible to order a light / easy on the meat sandwich there. Last time I tried. I said, "easy on the tuna, please." The chick nods and still slabs on about 3.5 cans plus a half a jar of mayo worth. I thought maybe a wrap might offer a lighter option. Nope, wrong again. I have now resorted to ordering one sandwich that myself and my coworker share and supplement with a side salad from the prepared foods section to share as well. The Italian sub is GREAT! I actually ordered it before seeing any reviews or newspaper articles. I was visiting my brother and we went in to grab a sandwich and I was amazed. So much so, I started googling Lucci's and found all the supporting reviews. If you are within driving distance, or just driving by Wilmington on 93, go get one. I'm going back up to MA from VA in October and it will be one of my first stops. Don't be afraid to get the "hots", they are not really that spicy but do add a good flavor. My mouth is watering as I write this and I can't wait until next month. The sliced deli meats and cheeses are also great and the service was top-notch. I drive by this place every day on my commute and never went in until now. A co-worker recommended it to me and it's the best recommendation I've had in a long time. I can only comment on the deli as I didn't do any other shopping. The store is bigger inside than it looks from the front and appeared to have all grocery options. I can't comment on their pricing, but the store itself seemed very well organized. Now onto the deli. The quality was simply fantastic and the prices are more than reasonable. I had an Italian sub and it took me two meals to finish it. It was as big as a football and the price comes in at $6!!! I am going to be scoring frequent flier miles at this place. They have the best turkey and ham at the deli, Susan's kitchen has a nice variety of ready to heat meals and sides. They have a nice selection of organic and gluten free items. Parents. My grandfather opened up one of the first funeral homes in Wilmington. My family always shopped at luccis. Don't judge this book by its cover. The deli not only has great prices but they sell Dietz & Watson cold cuts and use them in their sandwiches as well. The sandwiches are huge... emphasis on huge and amazingly low priced. They also have Boston Salads Cranberry Walnut Chicken Salad... totally addictive. Susan's homemade meals have been a life-saver when I've worked late and don't feel like cooking. I also appreciate that they support local companies/products - like Chilly Cow frozen custard... so yummy. The owner is very attentive and you will often find him working throughout the store. I have found the prices on grocery items to be average to what you would pay at Market Basket. The meat & deli however, is insanely low priced for the quality you get. First of all I love supporting a non chain grocery store. They have a great selection of groceries for a small store and the prices are good, but doing grocery shopping here is perk of the experience. You go here for the subs and the amazing prepared food selection. Being a busy girl, they have saved me by grabbing prepared foods for company- maybe on occasion attempting to pass them off as my own (and failing!) The selection of prepared foods is great, prices are good and everything is tasty. I'll stop in here for a prepare pot pie or calzone any day. What you really stop in for is the subs- I cannot say anything that the reviews do not already say- amazing subs- overflowing with meat. Super tasty, super cheap. In love! read more

I lived down the road from this place for over a year and we usually shopped there based on how close it was. Grocery prices are good and the people working there are great. Everyone is pleasant and helpful, I do not live in the area anymore but my office is right there so I pop in for lunch at the deli counter. You can grab a sandwich ( on par with anyone else.) for under $6 and a side for about $1.50. Typically a sandwich chips and soda at the deli in my development costs about $11 before tip. I can get out of here with more for less than $9 and it's just as good if not better. Lucci's deli counter is worth checking out. read more

The deli/cold cut area needs a complete power washing and sterilization. There is meat pieces everywhere. I went in to order some cold cuts and just after I placed my first order, the worker decides that it was a good time to spray down the machine with god knows what solution, and then cut my meat on the wet slicer. I walked out. The supermarket as a whole is ok. Prices are a bit higher and selections are limited. I know they sell a lot of subs during lunch time, but please clean the deli. read more

I go here for what I call "specialty items" aka deli meats, ham salad, or subs. I do most of my regular shopping elseware. They are a little bit more expensive than Market Basket but not by much. The store in general needs a overhaul it just is kind of stuck in the 1970s & the produce department is what other people have described. Not spectacular. I will commend them on Linda's prepared meals. I have tried the stuffed pork chops twice now and each time they did not disappoint. My father has had the salmon dinner & the eggplant parm both very good as well. I have also tried the chicken parm calzone which was tasty. My parents are both a fan of their deli sandwiches so much so that my mother would buy a large roast beef and remove half the meat & save it for another time. Yes, they put THAT much in. It is loaded with meat and toppings. And the price is amazing for the amount of meat and toppings you get on this sandwich!!! Deli Review --------- The deli here is amazing. I often wonder how they make any money with the way they overstuff their subs. Their subs are AMAZING! The bread they use is perfect and as I said, they are generously filled. The way they make an Italian sub, to me is the epitome of what an Italian sub is. The meatball sub? get outta here! ridiculous amount of meatballs in a really tasty sauce. Hot pastrami? Holy crap batman. You haven't known the pleasure of hot greasy beef in your mouth until you've devoured this. Seriously. If you're not into meat, I can also tell you you can't go wrong with a veggie sub. Everything is really fresh and they cater to you. You don't like onions? They won't put them, you want double cheese? Ask. They move really quick and work very hard to suit your taste. They make an amazing seafood salad, which you should try on a bulky . They also make their own pickles, antipasto, unique chicken salad which has walnuts and cranberries amongst other things So not only are the subs/sandwhiches actually delicious - they're shockingly inexpensive! I $4 or so will get you that whopper of a meatball I described. -------------- Non-deli Review: This is a funny little supermarket. I've found some offbeat items here which really surprised me (san pellegrino flavored waters, or gourmet salad dressings) because of it's size and of course it has all the standard fare. I should say they have a huge variety of home made meals and even a microwave for you to heat them up. Calzones and roaster chickens too. They offer great salads made fresh daily and a nice selection of fruit. It's honestly hard to say about the prices, I don't buy too many food items here other than the salads, fruit and subs.
