Bean and cheese and migas taco.
    Chris L.

My wife and I were looking to grab a quick breakfast / lunch and noticed this place in the plaza of where we take our dry cleaning and our local coffee shop. We are new to the area so we tried it out. Wow. The food is amazing and the interior was nicely done. Not tacky and not blah. It also felt very clean and updated. The tacos are top notch and we can't wait to go back and try the tortas and other menus items. Ordering was quick and pleasant. Overall it was a great experience.

First time at the establishment, customer service was on point. I ordered 2 breakfast tacos potatoes, eggs, cheese and one shrimp taco! All 3 were amazing, fresh and hot! Salsa was self serve, tables were clean, fresh smelling atmosphere. This is a hidden gems Overall food and service a 10/5. Only thing is the inside temperature was a bit warm, maybe the AC was not working, luckily I was the only one in there. Other than that, the place is amazing!!

Good Mexican food that can satisfy your Mexican craving. Enchiladas suizas - the flavor was good in the chicken and the sauce. The rice was dry so that was disappointing and the enchiladas were slightly smaller than expected. 3.5/5 Vallarta walker fish taco - good crispy catfish (I think) inside and lots of coleslaw. The coleslaw sauce overpowered the taco but I liked its flavor so that was ok for me. 3.5/5 Chilango taco - beef taco with good Mexican flavors not anything special. 3/5 There are three salsas available but none of them are spicy so that was disappointing. They also do not provide any complimentary chips either so I have to dock a star for these two shortcomings.

Stopped in this morning the tacos are great and affordable . They have a great selection of food

Came across this restaurant while looking for street tacos near my new job and I am so thankful I did! People from work were talking about that Cababana place and I removed them from my contacts list, immediately! Luichi and Joesy's street tacos are pretty good, although they only give you five (5) tacos, rather than the six (6) that I usually get from my favorite taco spot in Richmond. If there was another place nearby that gave me six tacos for the same money, I'd be there. One more taco makes a difference! The taste of the onions and cilanro and the way the meat is seasoned makes for a pretty tasty street taco. The side of charro beans was pretty tasty, also. On the first of my two visits, I ordered three menu items (street tacos, chips and salsa, and loaded fries) and I wasn't expecting them to be big portions. Now I see why the guy behind the counter asked, "Is it just for you?" His eyes got big when I replied that it was all for me. LOL. It was my only meal of the day (OMD). The chips and salsa were very tasty, by the way. The restaurant is small, but comfortable if there aren't a lot of people eating. The staff is very friendly and they keep the place clean. My only gripe is that if you ask for salsa, you get about a teaspoon in a little container (see image). Come on, now!

Cute Tex Mex Taco place close to Memorial drive with a taste of Mexico . Love the location easy to get into and out of. They even had Mexican pure vanilla for sale.

This place is AMAZING!!!! The nachos are incredible. Everything is well priced and the food is sooooo good. It's very clean and very fast. I love the fact it's family run and authentic.

I shouldn't have waited so long to try this place! I now have a new favorite close to home. First of all, who doesn't love tacos?! But wait... they have breakfast tacos ALL DAY! I love breakfast for dinner! The restaurant is small, but offers plenty of seating, including chairs and tables outside. The interior is bright with vivid colors. They have trinket items for purchase at the register. It reminded me of what you may see in a Mexico City store front. The order taker was very friendly helpful with suggestions. I ordered the chips and salsa, one Pirata (beef, no onions), one egg with sausage and one egg with bacon. Everything was so tasty! The chips were warm and the red salsa was cool with just the right kick. All of the tacos were fresh, delicious and the perfect size. The beef in the Pirata was chopped and had the best flavor. The sausage breakfast taco had cubed sausage with perfectly scrambled eggs and the bacon taco (also with scrambled eggs) was delightful too. I can't review this place without mentioning the salsas. They have a dedicated mini fridge for the 3 different flavors of salsas. You can get as many as you want. I love the "GREEN = HOT" is like the taqueria restaurants. It's hot, but not too hot and the flavor is so good, you won't be able to stop eating it. The "RED = MEDIUM" is what they give you with the chips. The blend has a perfect kick to it. Finally, the "CREAMY CILANTRO = MILD" is just as stated: creamy cilantro goodness! Each one was so good, there's no way I can pick a favorite. I am so excited about my new find! One suggestion I would have for the decision makers of this location: change the music. It doesn't change my 5-star rating, but the tunes didn't match anything in there. The music I heard was like a spa. With the bright colors and fun murals, I would think the music would be a more upbeat tempo. Again, doesn't change the fact that I will be back, but I did notice it was the only thing "out of place", so to speak. Great job, L&J's! You really have a good thing going there! I just can't say enough about this place. I wasn't expecting to be so impressed. LOVE IT and highly recommend!!!!! (side note: I wasn't ready to eat when I brought the items home. I put them in the oven on warm for a couple hours and they were still delicious! Imagine if I would have eaten them as they came off the grill!)

Left to right: bacon and egg, potato and egg, Mexican egg. The red and green salsa are spicy

I order tacos through the yelp app for take-out this morning. They have a big menu but since I was ordering breakfast it was small and simple. I ordered three bacon and egg, one potato and egg, and one Mexican egg which were all good. Nothing really special about the tacos in general but you can tell they cut their potatoes by hand as they were not in squares, but French fry like. I would like to see more places cut their potatoes like this. The eggs are fresh and flour tortillas were not soggy. The stand out for me was the green and red salsa which I mixed together to make an amazing spicy salsa. I cannot wait to go back and try the rest of the menu.

This place is amazing. Really may be THE BEST tacos I've ever had. We had the Sanblass and the Pirata! I'd drive across the city to eat here again. Yum.

For drinks, my husband and our friends tried some of the margaritas from their large and unique margaritas menu, as well as their hibiscus agua fresca. All of the drinks were very pretty and it seemed like everyone enjoyed them, too! We started with their chips and salsa trio, which we all really liked. The chips were on the thicker side, but were crispy and not stale or chewy at all. Each of the salsas were quite different, and two were served warm, which we really liked! For the price, I'd consider getting the chips and salsa as a non-negotiable, honestly. For entrees, we tried the enchilada rojas, chilaquiles verde w/ chicken and beef, birria barbacoa ramen, and huaraches. My husband felt like his ramen could have included more meat, but aside from that everyone really enjoyed what they ordered. The highlight was probably the desserts, though! We got a quatro leches and two ordered of their giant and amazing churros. Both were incredibly tasty and reason enough to return for another visit in the future!

It definitely is enough for 2. The meat melts in your mouth. EVERYTHING is better quality than here. Teo charged $1.50 for perhaps 4 or 5 slices of lime to make the happy hour margaritas made with a gross mix drinkable. That's outrageous. It reminds me that I had stopped going long ago when they charged extra for onions on enchiladas. Come on. You don't charge extra for chopped onions! I have never been to another restaurant that does so. Some even provide carmelized grilled onions gratis. I'm convinced that a $15. YUMMY mango margarita at Pappasitos would have given us the same buzz & tasted better than 8 happy hour margaritas here. I used to love the in house made flour tortillas at Teo. Tonight they were tough & uneventful. We arrived on a week night when they were not busy. Neither of the salsas were as good as they used to be.The water pitcher didn't even have ice when they refilled the water. I have absolutely no desire to return. Why would I?

The restaurant has an intimate indoor space and adjacent covered patio. Both were already full when we arrived which created a lively atmosphere. The inside was so tasteful - small but moody and warm! I'd definitely recommend a reservation for the weekends! We started with the aguachile de camaron as a starter and WOW my husband cannot stop talking about this dish. The perfect blend of textures and flavors - this will be a must for us every visit. We have had our eyes on the 5-course Chef Tasting Menu for $49 + the optional beverage pairing for $30. The experience felt more than fair for the price, especially by Houston standards. Each course felt thoughtful and slightly boundary-pushing, yet really approachable. My partner and I have been on a bit of a mole kick recently, so were very excited for the hanger steak with truffle mole. It absolutely delivered and would love to order this again! We were also heavily drawn to the tuna tartare starter, masa cornbread, and tres leches. The wine and drink parings were perfect and not too fruity. The brut rose was a perfect way to start and I always love a mezcal cocktail. I highly recommend anyone visiting to start with this Tasting Menu and leave the stress in the hands of Chef Adrian Torres! We had the pleasure of chatting with him briefly after our meal and were so impressed with his story and clear excitement he brings. The rest of the staff were equally kind and really added to the evening! It's definitely a smaller, cute neighborhood spot with a really fun vibe. The service was good. Our server was funny, attentive, and made the experience fun. We started with the "corn ribs" appetizer and WOW. Probably one of my favorite corn dishes I've had in a long time. So flavorful and addictive. We also got the "Tiradito de Hamachi" crudo, which was fresh and delicious! For the entree, my friend and I shared the tacos (which comes with your choice of 3). We added an extra taco to make it 4. I was genuinely shocked that the mushroom taco ended up being my favorite because I almost always prefer meat, but it was THAT good. The fried shrimp taco was also amazing. For dessert, we got the tres leches cake. I'm usually not a huge fan of strawberry or fruit toppings on desserts, but the cake itself was really, really good. I ended up just removing the strawberries and eating the cake, which was moist and flavorful. The only downside for me was the drinks. They looked larger than they actually were because of the glassware, and they tasted a little watered down. I had two, and they just weren't very strong or super flavorful. Other than that though, the food and service absolutely made up for it. Definitely a spot I'd come back to!

I prefer traditional homemade Mexican food but here we are. (Oh I googled and suggested this place lol) Went in for a team lunch on a Friday. Coworker's birthday lunch and she wanted Mexican. Party of 9 and we were seated promptly. They have a lunch menu and a happy hour as well as a full menu and full bar. The interior was nicely decorated. And open. There is bar seating and patio seating as well. Our waitress was Aisha and she was amazing. Friendly, helpful and patient. And able handle our large group and a few more tables with a smile. There were a variety of options. Salads, fajitas, nachos, enchiladas, etc. Also complimentary chips and salsa. My Order: chicken tortilla soup, lunch fajitas combo - chicken and beef. Chicken tortilla soup (3.5/5) - it was a bit salty for me but I am not a salt person so most things are salty to me; everyone else said it was tasty, there were tons of shredded chicken, avocado pieces, tortilla strips Fajitas - combo (4/5) - chicken was seasoned well and the beef (medium rare) was perfection and so tender and juicy, mexican rice was fluffy, and normally I would pass on the beans and get extra rice but my coworker suggested the charro beans and wow, that was a win - the seasoning was great, there were chunks of meat and the texture was nice, the only thing that could have been done better is the flour tortillas - they over-charred them making them too crispy and left them with a burnt taste. A couple of people got the elote salad and raved about it. So that will be a next time try. Def will be back. Everyone enjoyed their meals and some even ordered food to go. Would recommend.
