Let's begin our adventure and start with this fantastic review. The front door hostess greeted me with a warm smile. Shadowed me to a table and I was offered chips and salsa. Both red and green. Our waiter was training another young lady who was 3 weeks in. She did a fabulous job. My party of three was offered elote, a wellness shot with ginger, a cucumber cocktail with tajin rim. Let's keep going, we ordered shrimp enchiladas, seafood empanadas and the bowl with shrimp, rice, lettuce, tomatoes and charro beans with chicken. All fabulous and full of flavor. We were very pleased and full. Then the owner offered us a beautiful, warm, cinnamon churros with the three different toppings. The ambiance, the customer service, the cleanliness and attention to details. Lastly the bathroom carries mouthwash, hand lotion, dental flosses and hand soap for a refreshing cleanup and it's beautiful and clean inside. If you're in the Houston area please go support this establishment and relax in a comfortable and relaxing vibe. I would recommend again and again.

Love this place ! The services is great ! The Margaritas and Moscow mule ! Great . They have good Happy Hours offers. I have created great memories coming here ! From Birthdays celebrations or simple to decompress after work.

As a Mexican American from SoCal, this place surpassed my expectations! I was so pleasantly impressed by everything I tried. I got the Elote, Rib Eye Poblano Rice and a Mezcal Margarita. My waiter was the sweetest and so helpful with the recommendations, plus the ambiance was great. I'll definitely be back on my next work trip to Houston.

Never Again....it has been years since I been to Ambriza. I had two drinks and they upgraded the hell out of them because I didn't want a watered down sweet margarita...and still got two basic drinks and paid almost $100 for....the service was good. The atmosphere was nice but their drinks sucks. Wayyyy overpriced for what ends up in your glass....

$14 Ambriza burger arrived cold and soggy.

Ignore whatever I wrote years ago. Ambriza was fairly new then. Now... We eat as there as often as we can. My extended family never leaves disappointed. In fact, the most coveted birthday or Holiday present among us is an Ambriza gift card. I also appreciate the staff and manager for listening to my feedback without eye-rolling. Example? I wanted to try the Enchiladas Rojas, but asked them to add a red onion garnish. So glad I did! Explained to our server how that addition really lifted the heaviness of the dish. She understood and agreed to pass that along to the kitchen. Ask for the same sort of easy tweak, and maybe it will impact a future entree.

Awesome service from the time you walk in with being greeted to the food and the drinks. Im so looking forward to going back

We love Ambriza's! The speciality Margaritas are a must! I love the Cucumber Serrano but all are delicious. We have loved all menu items. We have been coming for years and love trying something new each time, along with ordering our favorites over and over. The service is great. The indoor and outdoor seating offers a good variety when the the weather is nice. We prefer to sit outside because inside gets so loud, we feel like we have to yell to hear each other. Or cozy up really close which isn't bad. Mostly when busy. There is a bar to sit at and happy hour specials.

The food is amazing. It was my first time there and I tried the Queso Horneado, the Chicharron De Pork Belly, the roasted cauliflower, Caesar salad, steak and eggs, and seafood empanadas! Everything was good! We left with so many to go boxes! lol! The atmosphere is very chill and the outside patio is nice. The servers are very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. They have multiple locations as well! It's a must try! I have already made another visit in the same week!

From the moment we walked up and were welcomed with an open door, the quality of the food and service were amazing. Being our first time, the server answered our questions and recommended the enchilada Swiss and the Pollo Al Mole. The drinks and street corn were great as well. Definitely recommend!

Server Marco's was great, food fantastic, drinks spot on, but so loud you can't really have table conversation when they have a live band. Otherwise, everything was absolutely fantastic and can't wait to come back !

Cesar, Vanessa and Nicole Awesome food, excellent service, and a great total experience. My first visit to Amriza was very impressive. It was a Saturday night and very crowded but we were about to sit inside within 15 minutes of waiting. Our waiter, Cesar, was excellent from beginning to end. He explained what Amriza was about since it was our first time. I came here with my wife. We ordered the seafood empanadas. These were very delicious, and they had a nice mix of shrimp and scallops. The empanada was also very crispy. This has a great flavor. The beef empanadas were good too but I liked the seafood empanada better. For the entrees, we ordered the short rib, mestizo rice, and the taco barbocoa dinner. The short rib mestizo rice was very tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. This is a must-try. The Barbocoa tacos were also delicious, and the meat was very tender and perfectly seasoned. Cesar was excellent, and Nicole, a manager, came by and ensured we got to try the street corn and introduced herself to us. Kudos to them. I came here a second time recently and the service was still high. This time I brought my twins for their birthday. Vanessa took care of us as our waitress. Her service was excellent throughout our dinner service. This time I tried the molotes de plátano, but those weren't, because I didn't like how the texture and flavor came together for me they're fried balls of plantain stuff with chorizo. It wasn't crispy and I couldn't taste much of the chorizo flavor. My kids got kids' meals chicken quesadillas, which came with fries, an apple slice, and a churro. It was a lot of food for the price. I got the taqueso pork pastor, these were okay but the flavor is different than the traditional pastor tacos. I didn't like it enough to get it again. However I enjoyed both of my experiences here and can't wait to eat here again!

Ambriza is definitely all the things FUN and vibrant!!! Beautifully decorated with fun vibrant colors. All the staff welcome you with smiles and are so friendly. As soon as they found out we had birthdays they brought out birthday shots for the birthday girls and they ended our dinner with churro carts and a birthday song. Such an awesome experience! If it's your first time cooking they offer a pastry and hot chocolate that were delightful! If you have purses they give you a purse hanger which came in handy. They provide complimentary chips and salsa. We started out with street corn (requested it off the cob) and roasted cauliflower which were a perfect starter packed with lots of flavor. The margarita was strong and had a great balance of flavors. Not too sour but also not too sweet, just like I like it but that sucker hit me later so I know they're not skimping on the alcohol. We had shrimp tacos, pastor tacos and the Swiss enchiladas. All were delicious and devoured! I can't brag about this place enough. I was very impressed with the whole vibe and service. We'll definitely be back!

One of my absolute favorites. The vibe is incredible. Delicious and authentic food, great service, fabulous margaritas, and two patios. They have a churro cart if you're celebrating your birthday. Super cute and so yummy.

Is the patio dog friendly? I found this on a dog friendly list but doesn't mention it on their website.

I sit on the patio all the time I've never seen dog. And I don't know the actual answer to that but I don't think anybody would have a problem with that. The patio is a little tight with tables.

On Sundays can you not do the buffet or is that required?

Hello! You can do our regular brunch or lunch menu as well instead of buffet.

What time does DJ start on Saturdays?

Hi Kim- I didn't know they have a DJ on Saturdays. I always go there on lunch time. Thanks for letting me know that there's a live DJ on Saturday 🤗.

Is Ambriza good for groups? Looking for a place to host a bridal shower for about 40 ppl! Any info helps. THX.

We have a private area that holds up to 35 guests.

How much is the Sunday buffet and does include drinks?

Christy, the price for the buffet does not include alcoholic drinks, but the mimosas, sangria, and Bloody Marys are $2.95 and margaritas $5.00 during brunch.

What is the time for the Sunday brunch buffet?

    Hello! Sunday’s from 10am until 3pm.

The food was stellar across the board and the service was top 5 of our entire lives. Shortly after this visit, we found out that they also had a location in the Willowbrook area, which is a lot closer to us. And my wife's parents love Italian food, so we were hoping to go as a group in the very near future. Well fast forward from 2023, all the way to 2026, and we finally made this happen. I was super excited to show off the place that I'd talked up for nearly 3 years. Unfortunately, this was nowhere near that experience. Overall, we still enjoyed it to a degree, but it was certainly not worth the 40-45 minute commute for us, and even longer for my in-laws. I went back to refresh my memory and read my original review. We ordered three things that totally blew our minds: chicken parm, seafood lasagna and the prosciutto and mozzarella pizza. So that's what we ordered here. I'll start off with the biggest miss: the chicken parm. This is what I said about it from my first visit: "This was explained as not a typical chicken parm dish, as the chicken breast is stuffed with a bunch of things. And I think it's good for people to know that so they aren't given something so far different from way they expect, but I am here to tell you that this is BETTER than classic chicken parm. Sometimes chicken can dry out, but this stuffed chicken breast was anything but dry. Every bite was just ideal. Again, don't come here without ordering this." Here, it was the polar opposite. Dry and bland. The pasta seemed like it had been boiled and that was it. There was no flavor to it. I don't think I can give this anything beyond 2-stars, and that might be generous. The pizza was extremely basic cheese pizza that just happened to have prosciutto on top. This sounds over the top, but this might as well have been Chuck E. Cheese pizza other than the prosciutto. Again, I'll be generous and offer 3-stars. The saving grace is that the seafood lasagna was awesome. An easy 5-stars on this one - no complaints at all. If you simply come here, enjoy the great bread they bring out, and order the seafood lasagna, you'll have a great experience. I hate to give such a negative review, especially for a place I was so pumped to visit, but it was a pretty night and day experience from the other location.

We have tried this place a few times, and found the service manageable - until getting a seat at the bar became a challenge - and only for members. While it may be nice to have this for members - it is a harsh way to treat new customers (my friend was in from inside the loop! a treat!) or customers you want to "win" over. The assumption was worse - as the spot was not marked "reserved" and we were told to wait and see. Then the bartender scolded me (yup, that tone) for not sitting where the manager/owner told me to sit. We are grown ups. With money to spend - and wines to learn about. Why are we being treated like less than worthy for being willing to try a new spot. Really trying to like the spots out that way as it is close to our home neighborhood. Why not just treat everyone with the same opportunity to enjoy the bar? I don't get it. Maybe in another 5 years, I might try again.
