I was stopping into Aldi last night and decided to take a peek in this store. I haven't been in…read morehere since they moved locations years ago. I had a great time looking around at all of the neat stuff! I wasn't in need of anything so I was just window shopping. My favorite find were cans of spaghettios and ravioli that looked totally real, but we're actually safes you could store valuables in. Very clever. Here are some items you can expect to find here: Clothing: novelty tshirts of local restaurants that are no longer around, such as the ground round, Bills gear, Buffalo-themed shirts Costumes and accessories to buy (kids and adults) and rent. Toys / games Glass smoking accessories Gnomes Greeting cards Cards for play/magic Prank toys (candy that actually tastes horrible, fake vomit, fake dirty adult diapers, and a million other things) Novelty drink ware Unique gift ideas It's the kind of store you find one-of-a-kind items you don't see everywhere you go.

A cast mate recommended it when I asked if she knew a good place to find stage makeup. They have a small but solid assortment of both grease and water based paint. Prices were good, comparable or better than what I've seen online plus they helped me choose between grease and water based paint. I was in and out in under five minutes. I'll definitely be back the next time I need stage makeup when street make up is inadequate for my needs. They also have an assortment of costumes, magic items and various other things, but I didn't have a chance to check it all out. Cool place.

This is truly one of the best gift shops around…read more I don't live in Rochester, but I do spend Christmas there every year. Parkleigh has saved my life by stocking all the gifts I forgot to get, didn't want to cart all the way to Western New York, or didn't even know I wanted to buy. They have something for everyone, and I truly mean that. If you can't find a gift for someone here, it's because that person doesn't like anything at all. They've got chocolates of all kinds, tea and coffee ground to order (which I wish I'd known before I'd bought mine elsewhere), beauty products, stuffed animals, coasters, books, flasks, camping gear, cookware, Bills gear, candy, and of course, socks, cards, mugs, shirts, hats, and anything else you could want with clever and funny little sayings. Seriously, so many socks. I've never seen this many socks that talk about drinking wine. But if that's something you need in your life, get over to Parkleigh. Also, the staff is super sweet and helpful.

What keeps drawing us back is the incredible mix they've perfected-- everything from sentimental to silly, practical to indulgent, fragrant to delicious. Their selection spans greeting cards, gourmet chocolates, coffees and teas, local Rochester items, MacKenzie‑Childs, jewelry, toys, and an ever‑changing rotation of gifts from both local and international makers. The store itself is beautiful, with exposed brick, hardwood floors, original tin ceilings, and eye‑catching displays that make wandering the aisles feel like opening a present. What we love most is that there is always something new, fun, or beautiful to explore, no matter how many times we visit. After two decades, we're still excited to walk through the door, and we know we'll keep coming back for many years to come.
