That's why this location feels like the alternate universe version where time moves a little differently. The staff is courteous and clearly working hard, but the branch seems overwhelmed by the neighborhood traffic. There are usually only two, sometimes three employees, and once four or five customers walk in, the line basically becomes part of the entrance décor. You get about 6 to 8 feet of standing room before you are suddenly at the counter whether you are ready or not. The space itself is nice and open, but the workflow could use reinforcements. More hands or better coordination would go a long way. Compared to other FedEx and Kinko's locations that run like a well oiled machine, this one feels stretched thin most days. I am still glad it is here and open consistently. Just budget a little extra time and patience when you visit.

On my QR code return it clearly states no box or label needed. She insisted I needed to pay for a box. I said no I'll bring my own. Packed it came back she said you can't use that box ! Are you kidding me! So I left ! I'll just go to another fed ex. I've never had a problem with UPS, I don't know why I chose FedEx. Never using Fed Ex again and for the love of god remove Tee from working at any of your locations that is required in having human interactions ! It's not something she's even remotely good at. Karma will come around & treat Tee with poor customer service as she did me today. Avoid this location

I've been missing this place, UPS Store #5017, like crazy since I left the city last year. But it…read morewasn't until my most recent pick-up at my local post office - when I was handed my third opened (and inspected?) box* in the last 12 months that somehow "just popped open" according to one of the staffers - that I couldn't get this UPS store outta my head. So here I am with an overdue Yelp. In the two-plus years I leased a mailbox from UPS Store #5017, I received nothing but sealed envelopes, packages, and boxes (which was what I had always been used to while receiving mail for over 30 years while living/residing in two different US states and five foreign countries before moving to NY state six years ago where I received my first torn-apart box of all-accounted-for clothing in Buffalo, NY). And like the intact mail they received on my behalf, the other services offered by UPS Store #5017 were done so with absolute professionalism and sincere kindness. I remember walking into UPS Store #5017 for the first time to sign my lease and seeing how unbelievably busy this place was. I was a bit anxious because of the intimidating number of stacked boxes (that hadn't yet been received on their end or picked up for delivery, not sure which) that kept the line of waiting customers from forming a snake within the store. This ended up being pretty much the norm when I'd come in to pick up my mail on different days and times of the week, which was surprising because I remember needing to use other, sometimes much larger, UPS Stores during those two years in parts of Manhattan where you'd think it'd be nothing but bananas all day, only to find each of those locations seeming to be waiting for the amount of business that UPS Store #5017 was getting. So, yeah, if you can lease a box here, go for it, and hold on to it for as long as you can. Seriously, before giving ours up (which was before our first box ever arrived opened at our current local post office), I was trying to figure out how to get downstate monthly to keep picking up our mail there. UPS Store #5017 is as good as it gets, and you can take that as a compliment. *In no way am I even hinting that the staff where I pick up my current mail is opening up my stuff. But I am saying that something fishy is going on with mail received upstate while it's en route to its destination. That's all. #TalesFromTheOutback

UPS should also hire a diverse staff as it is just one culture which is a form of discrimination. Also, make the environment comfortable during the summer months by providing the air conditioner! Some people have not returned due to their treatment towards the customers. If it were not for the people in the community, the store or business would not exist.

I live in a residence with a security guard who checks in the package. What I don't understand is why my package says "Delivery Attempted" (Monday) on the website. I haven't even received a slip for my package so I can pick it up. The next day (Tuesday) I went online and scheduled a redelivery. The next day (Wednesday) it says "Delivery Attempted" on the website again, but the time stamp says 11:30 pm. Now, I have received a message from Amazon stating that there was a delay. So I decide to go to the post office because I needed my textbook and I was getting tired of the delays. (Thursday) I walk into the post office and it's complete pandemonium. Trash was on the floor; there were three different lines with only one of the lines labeled. So I had no idea where to start. I wait in line for 20 minutes, and a worker comes around and announces that I must have a slip. I try to explain my situation to why I don't have a slip, and she proceeded to tell me that I needed to go to the machine and print out a receipt. The machine doesn't have any directions on how I can obtain a receipt so I call the worker back, and she walked me through the process. I was lucky that no one got on the line, so I got the same spot that I was in. I stayed in line an extra 30 minutes while another customer yells at the worker for the post office for losing his package. Finally, it was my turn. When I got to the window I saw other's personal information (name, address, phone #), packages, and mail scattered on the desk and back table. I was utterly appalled! That stuff is supposed to be confidential! The lady searched for my package for a full fifteen minutes and then blamed me when she couldn't find it. Her words were, "You should have told me the full story about your package". When I first walked to the window, I told her that I hadn't received my package and I scheduled a redelivery. I mean shouldn't it also be in the system? At this point, I was pissed and trying to bite my tongue. She eventually came back and said that my package couldn't be found. She gave me the number to file a claim.
