We absolutely LOVE Bark Avenue Daycamp! We've been bringing our dog, Heath, here for the past two years since he was about nine months old and we couldn't be happier with the care he's received. As Heath got older, he started having some reactive issues with certain dogs. Instead of turning us away, the team went above and beyond to work with us. They tried different programs and truly took the time to understand what he needed. Eventually, we found the perfect fit with their solo play option, where he gets one-on-one time with staff throughout the day and he is thriving! It means so much to us that they didn't give up on him and instead created a solution that works for everyone. My company is actually moving in the opposite direction, which means a longer drive for us but there's no question we'll continue bringing Heath here. My dog would always come back looking fresh. Also, most Sundays they have Puppy Play Time. This is when you are able to bring your puppy to their facility to play with other puppies. My lab mix loves going there, i board him for about three days when I need to. It gives him a chance to play with other dogs his size and he's so much less reactive to other dogs when he comes home and I love the fact they post videos. The staff is friendly and helpful! read more

Brought my six year old lab pup Taco for training before a long international flight to work on his social behavior. Couldn't have made a better choice! He's a different (young fur) man now! Ashley and the team have an incredible approach. They are caring and methodical. Taco spent several weeks in 3-4 times a week training during his da camp. The owner was phenomenal in helping get my dog going in daycare and her team is top notch across the board. I feel like my dog is safe and having fun because the owner is a long time dog trainer and knows this business well. I do wish they had cameras for owners, but they do videos so we can see some of the fun and happy dogs each day. I could not give a higher recommendation. This is a fantastic place to take your dog on rainy days or just to get out and exercise! My year and a half year old lab has been going there for almost a year. He starts to cry and go nuts as soon as we turn into the complex. We've boarded him there on several occasions and feel very confident that he is safe and having the time of his life! Jules started Day Camp earlier this year, while I worked full time for a few months. She loves it! I also signed her up for training camp. The trainers are brilliant and I was thrilled with the results. She was a good girl to start, however, the training has improved her walking skills and recall skills. Seriously though, my shelter pup went through a lot in his young life and he has a lot of fear but not when I take him to Bark Avenue. He races inside and is super excited when he is dropped off so I can tell they treat the dogs well. The place is always immaculate too which I love. We brought in two healthy dogs to have a weeklong board and train and brought home two sick dogs. At pick up we had training with the dogs individually. Right when they brought our first dog Misia out, we were shocked at her eyes being red, squinted, and covered in gunk. After asking the trainer about this she said her eyes have had a lot of discharge during her stay and she had to clean them out every few days. I want to mention that Misia has NEVER had this much or this color of discharge. We texted almost daily for updates on the girls, and no one mentioned her eyes or even asked if this was normal for her. When they brought our other dog, Pia, we immediately noticed she was not breathing normally and was reverse sneezing and choking which she never does. We wrote an email to Bark Avenue to talk more about their health and how long this has gone on for. We were told by them that they do daily health checks and never noticed anything wrong with the girls, which is quite strange especially when Misia's eye was very crusty, and her trainer even said it has been like that before. We were told by Bark Avenue that Pia's reverse sneezing and coughing was just because she was very excited to see us and that they have seen this before. The night Pia was home she was not breathing normally so we took her to the vet that next morning and she ended up having an upper respiratory infection. We reached back out to Bark Avenue with this information, and they do not take any blame, but it is pretty strange that two healthy dogs came home with problems. We have taken Misia here before for play time and enjoyed it, so we thought their boarding would be awesome. We were very disappointed and want to share our experience. This place may be good for bigger dogs but I DO NOT recommend someone boarding their smaller dog here because things like this should not be over looked. read more

I'm very happy with the service and staff at Bark Ave. My rescue (age 2) Lola was brought in for Day Camp and she "failed"(?) her assessment, saying she needed to learn manners and brought bad energy into the group. They helped me understand what was needed. Basically, Lola is high energy and a Lab, and didn't know how to play appropriately, scaring some of the other dogs which could've led to aggression among the dogs. Kelly suggested training and we've been blessed to have Ashley for private and group training. The staff have all been knowledgeable and kind. it's clear that they love dogs and Lola LOVES Ashley!! Once Ashley brought her 2 well-trained dogs in so Lola could learn how to react with other dogs! Calls are always returned promptly too. After some more training, Lola will be ready for boarding and all the day care options. I really appreciate Bark and staff, especially Ashley-always happy, always professional and kind!! read more

I would highly recommend Bark Avenue for both training and boarding. Several months ago my husband and I adopted a shelter dog who is very sweet, but can be aggressive toward me. Without Bark Avenue and Matt's help over the last few months we would not have been able to handle our dog. Matt critically assessed our dog's behavior and my reactions. He has taught me to correct my dog's behavior humanely and effectively. I can say, without doubt, that the staff at Bark Avenue has handled my dog appropriately. I would put 5 stars, but they are so busy and it does take awhile to get my dog in to see the groomers. Howwever, if you plan ahead no issues there ! I cannot say enough good things about their groomer Dakota. I rescued my Shepard mix (Ohana) in August. Ohana is timid and very nervous. Dakota has built such a great relationship with Ohana. Highly recommend this place for daycamp and boarding! This is an hour north of our home, but we went here based on a friend's recommendation. The facility is very big and very clean. We were taken on a tour, and during the tour we were told that the dogs are out all day and allowed to run around and play in what is essentially a warehouse with a cement floor (easy clean-up!). If the weather is nice, they open the large overhead garage door to a grassy, fenced area, so the dogs can play outside. Our dog loved playing with, and sniffing, the dogs on the tour, so you can only imagine how exhausted he was from being there an entire week! I almost felt guilty taking him home to our townhome with an unfenced yard. We dropped off our dog on a Monday morning, just prior to 6:30 a.m. when they open. I was relieved that they took him early without any hassle. We paid the same price here for what we'd pay at PetSmart (a place I will only use in an emergency now). There's also a 15% off coupon on their website, so for a 5-night stay, we saved about $30. There's an additional discount (10% I think) if you are referred by someone. We had a little difficulty scheduling an appointment, the man on the phone was a bit gruff and somewhat inflexible with scheduling, but I won't change my view on the place based on that. read more
