I'm 19 years old and was traveling alone from Philly to Hyannis, and I'm still not very confident with traveling on my own. What really made this experience so good was the driver. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and kind, but the driver especially stood out. He was a bald man with glasses and a big beard, and he was genuinely one of the sweetest and most caring people I've met while traveling. He was patient with everyone, calm, respectful, and made sure people were okay throughout the ride. That kind of hospitality is honestly hard to find nowadays. Usually traveling stresses me out a lot, but for the first time I actually felt relaxed and comfortable during the trip. He made the whole experience feel safe and easy, and I'm really thankful for that. So thank you again to him and the company for such a great experience.

First, the original bus broke down before we even left. Cool, things happen. But the "replacement" bus that showed up looked like it had been dragged out of a junkyard and sprayed with Eau de Mold. It smelled like sadness, rode like a rollercoaster built by drunk engineers, and was so filthy I started questioning whether my tetanus shot was up to date. We arrived 1.5 hours late, which honestly felt like the ultimate wellness challenge -- every extra minute on that bus was another year shaved off my immune system. By the time we got to NY, I was half-expecting to find CDC workers in hazmat suits waiting at the terminal. Oh, and when unloading bags, mine got tossed around like it was competing in the shot put. Customer service told me "too bad, you didn't buy a refundable ticket." As if "refundable" is code for "the bus won't be a rolling biohazard, tardiness, and bum bruises from the bumpy ride!!" You need to order a cab in advance when possible. And I learned from exerience that when a particular employee took the reservation, it was wise to call back later, speak to someone else to "confirm" the reservation, and correct the errors in time, day, or location the first guy had made. (Ironically, that guy has been moved to another location in the firm, at increased salary.) But my experience with almost all the other Bill's Taxi employees has made me appreciate their kindness, their neighborly attitude, and the lengths they will go to on behalf of a regular customer. No, they are not available all night long. No, they do not clearly announce in advance any seasonal changes in availability of cabs, and yes, they are more expensive than Lyft or Uber. Those are corporate decisions; on the level of individual employees, they are professional, caring, and like the rest of us, they work hard for their income. They will do their best to accommodate a fare; you just have to be clear in what you ask for and be a bit flexible when you can.

The driver got me there in time but we drove a very roundabout route so I'm glad the trip was pre-booked but I don't know what I paid for. 15 miles within their service area should not have cost over $70.00 but when I called to check on this, I was told that a wheelchair van costs $60.00 + $6 for some other cost. That's $66.00 but the woman on the phone did not explain the additional cost, only cited the cost of gas. I fell trying to get into this vehicle because the running boards were both narrow & high. And while the driver was nice, the person didn't seem at all prepared to handle a situation like this, driving a wheelchair vehicle. Thank goodness I didn't do more than skin my shin. I have lived in Middleboro for years & used Bill's taxi many times, but now that it's apparently been sold to a larger transportation service, it's taking advantage. I will never use them again - whatever the cost of gas.
