I would consider this a very average experience! Pedicure was a bit rough and not as relaxing as one would hope. We asked for "The Basic" for my 11 year old little sister and at the register they claimed she was provided "the classic". We tried to explain that we had not requested the classic for her, and the receptionist promptly began showing us the camera footage. Implying that it didn't matter what we requested, she had received a more expensive service and it was our responsibility to pay for it. Not even a "sorry" for the misunderstanding! We found that a bit unprofessional, but paid for it as we didn't feel it was worth going back & forth over. Overall, not extremely impressed :( read more

I am really trying to keep my composure when it comes to negative reviews, but this nail salon had me so livid when I left. I originally wanted to get a gel manicure and pedicure, however, when I got to the salon, I noticed some questionable things. I started off with the aloe Vera pedicure which is $65. While my nail tech started on my pedicure, I logged on to their website to see what else they offered. I noticed there was an additional fee of $20 just for gel polish. The entire bottle of gel polish is $10-12, and at wholesale, probably $4 a bottle. Where I'm from, in SEATTLE, it's $5 for gel polish, not $20. I canceled my gel manicure after seeing those ridiculous prices and thought to myself, for $85 this better be the most amazing and legit pedicure of my life. Nope. My nail tech did things backwards. Started off soaking my feet, shaping the toe nail, and doing the scrub. Then she did the polish, which I assume is because of the oils they use for the massage. I was upset because after the massage was done, she went back with a nail file across the bottom and top of the toe nail, filing off the bad paint job. I had asked her nicely to remove the polish from my cuticle and skin and she got upset with me and said nothing was there. From these photos, you can clearly see the polish was in fact on my skin. I also did not appreciate that some toes were shaped square while others were shaped square round. She almost had me leave like that until I asked her to remove the polish from my skin again. Instead of soaking it off or removed with acetone, she used the cuticle clippers and cut the polish off my skin. When it came time to pay, I asked a bunch of questions. Apparently they also charge a service fee for using a credit card. I hate seeing that. Those are business expenses, not client expenses and a lot of times businesses use that in their taxes. It's infuriating to see how much this business is profiting from customers who don't know better. Do not recommend. I did not tip. Will not be back. From now on, I'll do my own nails. read more

Love going to Luckey nails and spa off of hwy 90. There are two locations so I must give props to the correct place. They do me right every time. Trisha is my preferred nail tech. My nails last long and always look great. I have been to about 3 or 4 different nail salons since moving to Castroville. You know trying to find that right fit. So I would not have to travel outside of my area. Want to support locally. Either the nails were too thick, crooked or looked as if they had been painted by my 9 year old son.
