You're probably not going to get a walk in tattoo done here, but walk in to talk to or consult with an artist ahead of time to be sure. The shop itself is in a good location with a decent amount of parking, and inside it is inspiring. There are lots of plants and beautiful art. It is body-positive and woman-positive with more than one woman tattoo artist in residence. The tattoo work areas are separated with short walls and actual doors so privacy is controlled. It also allows each artist to have her own space full of the energy she wants. This part of the shop's design really adds to the experience of being worked on there. It allows the creative energy to bubble around without feeling intrusive or exposed while being worked on. It can also shift during a session - door open or closed. I have two fairly large, artist-original pieces done by Autum McCallister (Lethal Lady). Her work is magical! You can find it on Instagram or Facebook, or stop in to see her. She also does commission pieces (your design). Autum's eye for color, shape, and layout makes for truly gorgeous body art. When I have requested (small) changes to a design, she is thoughtful and takes her time to work through what will work well with the piece and fits with what I like. She'll also make some changes as she works and sees the piece come to life on your body. To top it off, she has a great sense of humor, and we have fun conversations with a lot of laughter. Though I haven't worked with any other artists at this shop, I have listened to them work and seen some of it. Stop in with your idea, and whoever you talk to will either be a good choice or tell you who the right person for your piece would be.

When she came out to even look at my bellybutton I said if I didn't have the right anatomy to pierce it I would get something else so she wouldn't feel like she had too, then when I showed her she got annoyed and said I couldn't get the one I wanted and I could only get the floating navel which is fine but then she got snappy when my boyfriend tried to hold my hand for a second because he thought she was piercing me and then when she went to pierce me she didn't even tell me when she was piercing me she just stuck the needle in. I knew when she did it that it felt a little tight but I just thought it was because she had just done it but after a couple hours i realized how much it was pinching my skin together and how much it hurt, I couldn't walk, bend over, or do anything bc of how tiny the piercing was. Not to mention she didn't use a clamp so she pierced way too much skin. I went to two different tattoo shops to try and get it changed out and every time I said I went to liquid chaos and every time I said that they said " oh you went to Kayla" the one shop told me that they had many customers come in unhappy because of how Kayla pierced them. I was super nervous since it's permanent but I trusted her work and skill and I'm so glad I did. I got nano combination brows, meaning a natural look, hair like strokes in the front and gentle shading at the tail, all using a handheld tattoo machine. My skin is super oily so microblading would not have worked, it would have looked smeared and not lasted nearly as long. I wanted them full but not obvious. I have very little natural brow hair so I was so scared of how it would end up looking. She did a fantastic job! It did hurt at the beginning but after the numbing solution started working it was a breeze. You get the brows done, then have a touch up in 4-8 weeks to fill in anything that didn't heal perfectly. You have to follow their instruction sheet to get the results you want, but it's super easy. The salon, Nady B's was bright and beautiful, but a bit crowded together and loud. I do wish there were private rooms or partitions, so you weren't getting serviced in the middle of a busy room, especially since the service is $350+, which includes a touch up. I would recommend anyone get their brows( or amazing henna, she is truly an artist!) done by Noor. She was wonderful and I am very, very happy with these awesome brows that look so perfect.

I booked with Mary, and she reached out about a week before the appointment asking for the artwork. I sent it right over. When I arrived on tattoo day, she was ready for me -- professional, prepared, and clearly passionate about her craft. She walked me through all the technical details and then showed me the touch‑ups she made to my design. Let me tell you... I was blown away. Her improvements elevated the artwork beyond what I imagined. I even asked her to send me her version because it was that good. Four hours later -- and yes, it hurt -- Mary finished. It is not like I have been to too many tattoo shops. My younger brother owned one for years and I…read morevisited many times. I used one of the best in Ann Arbor for my 2 but they would not even talk to me except by email when I tried to even get an appointment to come in to talk about my idea. Told me their weekends were booked until November. So after looking at Yelp for a local place, I called here. Told I didn't have to have an appointment to talk and they are open on the weekends, I came in with my idea. Given an appointment for the next Sunday and left my ideas for the artist. But that artist had to cancel due to Covid so the shop worked to get me in as quick they could. I came in on a Tuesday after work. My artist, Andrew Heithecker, was excited and had the library card catalog drawer drawn out but wanted me there to get the cards and the dragon tail right. He hit it on the Head. He could even get the numbers on the cards with marks for the words. Andrew worked quickly and pulled the colors he knew would be the best. Less than 2 hours later he was done and the price was more than fair for the amount of work he put in. While I probably won't get another tattoo, I will recommend this place and artist to others who want a great tattoo. Since I posted pictures of my tattoo on a weird librarian Facebook page and it is a big hit, if any of those who live locally might want to come here also. Clean shop, safe procedures, and many different artists.
