I just returned from having my apply a tattoo to my chest. As I am a first time tattooer it was a incredible experience. She was so precise and the procedure was relatively painless. The end result came out just like it looks in the photo. I couldn't be more pleased. She was very clean. Her shop is clean and everything she did was cleaned off and wiped down with antiseptic. I am absolutely in love with this piece, I got done today! I was a walk in and Oscar was happy to do my tattoo right away. I had an amazing experience getting my tattoo from him. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed with the cleanliness and atmosphere of the shop. The music they play is diverse and always good, everyone that works here is friendly and has good banter, overall just good vibes. Electric tattoo is by far the best shop I've ever been to. I live out of state and get tattooed by Jay (@artbyspaceman) every time I come in town. However, this past time I had been experiencing some back issues and when my session was done I simply could not stand up. Brian literally offered me his back brace off his own back and Oscar (I think is his name) held my Dorito bag for me while I cried. Tbh they have better bedside manner than the hospital I went to after. The people here do excellent work, but are even more superb humans. Learn from my mistakes: don't get a laying down tattoo if you have back issues and if you are stupid like me and do it anyways, do it at electric tattoo because they will at least be kind to you while you cry. read more

If I could give a 0 I would. May 2nd I went in for a signature on my collarbone to be covered by a black arrow. Jay said he could do it easy. It was only me, him and one other male artist in shop. I asked him if he wanted me to send him the stencil, he refused & started outlining it with sharpie. When I went to check it, it was marked all funky so I just looked at him and he said "it'll be straighter" and I offered to send the stencil again but he said no. He straightened one part out a little and it looked somewhat better but I asked if he was sure about the stencil again and he said no it's easy he's done plenty of stuff like this and showed me some linework he supposedly also did from freehand so I let him start which was obviously stupid of me but I have a few tattoos freehanded by other artists that turned out beautiful so I trusted him. When I looked in the mirror after he finished I couldn't tell if I was just looking for error, it was swollen, or what so I just sat down, took pictures and let him wrap it. Before I even got out of his chair, I texted the pictures to my friend and she immediately said who messed you up. I ended up swollen with bruising for about 6 days. I tried calling the shop to talk to a manager for a week before I got ahold of Curt who was insanely rude over the phone. He was cutting me off, didn't want to talk, and kept just saying I needed to come talk to him face to face. After however long of him saying the same stuff, I said ok and drove up there but when I got there he had left. I ended up waiting for him to get back and I showed him the tattoo to which he said "I'm not an idiot, I'm a good artist I can see what's wrong with it." There was some small talk back and forth before he offered to either fix it for me for free or refund me. I said I don't wanna keep going in circles over this so if you will just fix it and use a stencil then let's do that. We scheduled for me to come in 5/23 at noon but monday morning (25 hours before my appointment) I had been called into work so I asked if he'd be able to move me around or not and he said yeah just push it back another week problem, nothing about a change in time or missing my appointment or anything. I drove out here this morning 5/30 and tried to walk in at 11:55 but the doors were locked even though it says they open at 11. I messaged Curt and asked if they were closed in which he replied he'd be there at 1pm. I told him my confusion because nothing was said about time difference and his online calender only had a 12pm availability but he just replied with okay. I was confused, then he said I could wait for him or leave. I had to leave by 1 and was already outside so I said I can't, I just will take the refund which at this point he refused. He said I now lost my opportunity at getting a refund or the work fixed then proceeded to try and place blame on me for the tattoo being messed up. I said your artist refused stencil and assured he could do the work and then botched it & the only responses I could get was I am not getting a refund and they will not do work with me. I said I would wait to talk in person and he immediately threatened with the police. This is the worst and most immature shop and shop manager I've ever encountered. read more
