I ordered lots of pad Thai from this place,they always forgot put eggs and bean sprouts and I always forgive them. Today Feb 14 I took pad thai back to them so they can remember next time. Lady in front kind have attitude towards me, she told me she put notes not accepted me return customer, when they are at fault should accepted it. It may not have the ambience of a fancy Chinese restaurants but the food is very tasty, reasonably priced and good size portions. We usually order the House Lo Mein, General Tso, chicken, Happy Family, Pepper Steak, and Singapore Noodles all with steamed rice. Never thought to call me or Grubhub so that maybe I could have picked another item. The guy who answered the phone could care less and downright rude. Awful customer service and the food was subpar. The young lady at the register lost her mind and started yelling at the workers 2 different times while we were waiting for our order. The restaurant has an open kitchen and we all got to hear her screaming at them and berating them. She is obviously either an owner or a member of the family that owned the place. She is not the right person to represent that business and the customers should not be exposed to her antics. She needs either medicine, anger management classes, or both. He name is Makita. The company by the same name make power tools. She tore through our nerves like an angle grinder. My most recent experience last week with Lucky 99 was great. The ability to order online and customize precisely is appreciated. Their online ordering process allows you to be very specific about how you would like your meal prepared. For example, I chose to have less broccoli and more mushrooms in my orange chicken, as well as having it less spicy, and it was prepared wonderfully - exactly as I had requested. The size of the meals is huge, allowing me to actually split mine in half for a second meal later. They have a great "family special" which comes with two free cookies, two egg rolls, two meals, your choice of rice (extra charge for brown rice) and two soups which is a really good value. The egg drop soup did turn very gelatinous as I reheated it later; this was disappointing, but the wonton soup was delicious. My meal arrived steaming hot to my door within 20 minutes of my online order; Luck 99 is almost always very fast in their delivery service. I have been here 3-4 times. Maynn the smell outside draws you in it's so amazing. However, the food is underwhelming. Each time I've visited there's been something wrong with the order.shrimp fried rice overcooked devoid of flavor. Chicken over cooked..... noodles blah and the egg drop soup was an oil spill disaster. I'm not sure if people believe that just because they open in Frisco that they can be substandard in terms of their food and we will still come back. I tried my hardest to like this place since it's close but unfortunately it's been a waste each and every time. Very mediocre Americanized Chinese food. Both the service and taste of the food was unremarkable. Even though I ordered an egg roll, I found out that I had to pay extra for a small portion cup of sweet and sour sauce. The restaurant itself is in need of a good deep cleaning. Their dining room chairs are very old, dirty, and worn. I had to swap out my chair several times as the ones I sat in sunk and were very uncomfortable. It was very cold and windy outside today (low 30's). The interior of the restaurant was not much warmer than the outside. No heating at all. We were looking for a nice substitute for some Chinese food as our regular place is closed right now. We were recommended to try Lucky 99. We called our order in and the process was easy and all our questions were answered to our satisfaction. I ordered honey chicken with broccoli and the sauce on the side. He ordered two orders of the chicken fried rice. The honey chicken was a little overcooked, but the sauce was pretty tasty and they put the steamed broccoli in a little container on the side. Overall it satisfied my craving. The chicken fried was up to his standard for a good fried rice. We are hoping our regular Chinese restaurant opens soon. read more

This is the quintessential American Chinese take-out, it isn't great, you'll feel like a brick and potentially regret it afterwards but is an indulgence from time to time. I've had the general Tso (by far from being the best, lacking flavor in the sauce and way too much breading), fried rice (oily and no flavor...), Kung pao (very watery and flavorless vegetables), lo mein (like their fried rice) among other things. If I could give Lucky 99 zero stars, I would. We are FREQUENT customers, and usually the food is exceptional. Unfortunately, the last two times we have ordered the curry, it has been unpalatable due to a spice level that is so intense you can smell it and it burns the nose. We brought this to their attention the first time, they assured us that it is supposed to be "creamy and mild" per the menu. We trusted our favorite Chinese restaurant that this was simply a mistake. Tonight, it was HORRIBLE...AGAIN. After calling and receiving the WORST customer service, they expected us to drive (in a storm) back to the restaurant to remake it. LOL This will be our last visit to Lucky 99. Too bad they have lost our business considering we order often enough that they know us by name. I'm so glad they went through the remodeling and combining the two restaurants a while ago, cause I'd written them off for having gross Shrimp fried rice (which is how i judge chinese places im not familiar with). So Im mad one day I couldn't find good Chinese in the area, as a was venting to a friend a year or so later, I was convinced to go back and wow! We ordered from Uber Eats on Valentine's Day not knowing anything about this restaurant but in the mood for Chinese food. Uber took quite some time to deliver our dinner, however it was still hot. I liked the ability to choose some options and gave instructions on how spicy or not I wanted. The dinner was very tasty. I do not know what condition the inside of the restaurant is in but after reading some of the other reviews they need to update the restaurant and order new tables and chairs. I'm glad I read these after I ordered and enjoyed my dinner. I will order again for a carryout. Not sure if I would use Uber again due to the additional fees they add on. read more

I am not much of a Yelper, however, because I had such a long day worked really hard and looked forward to treating my family and kids to an authentic meal, only to find out we were not welcome based on their lack of valuing how to treat their customer, it was very crucial to make them aware of their unacceptable customer service to the public. I would have rated this restaurant a 3 and up Unfortunately because we experience such horrible customer service we will never return here again. We made a simple request and when they came back with the order it was completely all wrong. We proceeded to communicate the order was not what we wanted and the lady at the front who was taking the order began to get combative and started to yell at the top of her lungs. For a second we thought something was wrong with the way we spoke and to her and wondered what we had said to make her go off so belligerently just from a simple statement " we did not want" what she gave us. Her tone went from a 1 to a 10 on the anger spectrum. This place needs to provide their employees training on customer service 101 , anger management, and how to effectively communicate when things may take a turn with your customer. 1 How do feel its ok rep yell at your customer for getting the customer's order wrong??? 2, How do you respond with we pay money as well!?? The point is not about the order being wrong it was the principle in how she carelessly handled a simple customer service miss communication. We had been ok with the order being wrong just by a simple fix, "oh my apology we can fix that, or make an adjustment here or ther" but noooo just skip all of those fundamental principles of customer service and scream at the customer!! Never heard or seen such behavior!
