First off. It hot as heck inside! I think they forgot to turn the air on. The temperature was officially off the chart. I can give grace for that since I too want to not test the Texas grid. It's really clean and well set up when you first walk in. It was so hot inside, my legs stuck to the seat of the vinyl booth. Ugh. Service is slow, but the food comes out fast. I had to call out for refills on water. No ice. I prefer my water cold. Room temperature water is not my thing. I'm guessing I'm missing something. My soup was fresh and the broth was delicious! It was a spice level of 5. I like my food spicy. This was off the charts! My friends had a hard time eating their food. It was supposed to be level 2 spice, instead it was level 5 like mine. It was not enjoyable for them. Theirs went in a to go box. Then to the trash when they got home. I ate all my soup, no togo box for me. I paid the price for 3 days after eating here. OMG! Your tummy will be dying. Be safe. Don't eat level 5 at a new restaurant. You would think I'd learned that by now. We all have stupid moments. Mine was epic! It's supposed to be vegan and gluten free which is a big plus for those that require that as their diet. Less sugar items is a plus too! Way to go green. For me, because I messed up, I'll start at a lower spice level if I return. There were 4 people in our party. Got the feeling this place will be out of business before I even think of returning. This restaurant has the best Thai food in the DFW. I have tried many Thai places in the area but none of them come close to this one! The basil fried rice is packed with flavor and the portions are enough to feed multiple people. Although I have never been to the restaurant in person, delivery is always quick and easy. Short Review: Everything is upgraded; except the quality of the food. Longer Review: Compared to Thai Green Village (prior restaurant in same location), the food is not nearly as flavorful. We were hopeful in this new Thai offering but ultimately disappointed. The ambiance inside is much more modern and sleek. The menu had plenty of choices and nice vegan options too. The online order process via Toast is much improved and easy. The takeout fulfillment was quick and professional. However, the food (while plentiful) was not nearly as flavorful as prior. We had the Fried Rice, Egg Rolls, Druken Noodles and Green curry and none of them were are good as the prior restaurant and pretty bland. The Green curry was probably the worst I've ever had anywhere. Ended up throwing it out; not worth the calories. Green Thai Bistro got a lot of things right operationally but one: the food. Find a new chef and you could have a winner of a restaurant. read more

Ok, I hope this doesn't come across too negative but my hope is this gives some constructive criticism because this place is new and I think has potential, but based off of my experience will likely not be coming back. (There's just too many great restaurants in Frisco). Also, hopefully can set the expectations for others who are considering a meal here. The atmosphere is nice. The decor and menus look super nice. This is why when we walked in we decided to stay despite it being relatively empty. However, their AC is either off or not working. So the niceness of the atmosphere slowly overtime disappears as you realize it's hot as all get out throughout the course of the meal. I can't tell if they're trying to save money on the electric bill or if there's an issue with their HVAC. Either way they should let their diners know. It was dinner time on a Friday night and we didn't notice it at first. But by the time we left it felt like it was 85+ degrees inside. (I had read a previous review about this on here but no one else mentioned so I figured it was an off night). Its bad. Like some in our party couldn't finish our meal and had to leave early because we were sweating. (Also some of us didn't get our food until much later than others which also played a role, but more on that later). I'd give the atmosphere a 2/5 with the main reason why it's a 2 is because it is SO hot. Further, the service is not great. There's only one server and while we were there, there were only two tables with dine-in guests (including us) and a handful of takeout orders. The one server was not super attentive to our table and brought out the food one dish at a time with about a 10 minute gap from the first dish being delivered and the last person in our party being served. It seemed like they were prioritizing the to-go orders and had trouble with time management. While we were there a hefty line of take out people were there waiting for their orders looking frustrated. A few people who left with a to-go order came back because something was wrong with their order while we were there. I'd give the service a 1/5. The food was ok. Chicken was a bit dry. Some dishes were a little bland compared to other Thai restaurants I've been to in the area. Also, the server mixed up which dishes had spice or not. I'd give the food a 3/5. All in all, this place has potential but I feel like there are a few glaring issues. Need more staff or train-up who you have working on a Friday night. For the love of everything holy, either have A/C working or warn people. Hopefully, this place can turn it around! read more

if anyone remembers the Original Thai Green village/ like when they first opened years ago/ this restaurant took their place. the old place went down hill with "take out " plates for in-house eating. this NEW Thai Restaurant is UNBELIEVABLY GOOD. i have had Thai Food everywhere in the WORLD. mostly here in the US and this food is INCREDIBLE. i am so excited to see such a high end restaurant with great food. They completely remodeled this restaurant, the presentation is great. The food is the BEST thai food in Frisco. hands down. read more

The food is the BEST food I have ever eaten in my whole life, the service was amazing and so kind. They show that they care about you r food allergies and are willing to accommodate your needs. What a gem to find in Frisco! They had an opening celebration on May 10th and I visited today as I just landed from a long flight and didn't have time to make my own vegan meal at home. This women owned restaurant came through. Their King Oyster mushroom fried rice with vegan chicken (add-on) was simply amazing. The are gluten-free, sugar free- and most of all vegan! I love it.
