Long standing business in baldwin. It's no fuse shop. They have all the accessories and hair supplies you can think of. It's great! From hats, scarves, nails, lashes, jewelry, eye contacts, and everything inbetween. They have hair styling tools as well. Those items you'd have to price out, for us it is cheaper to buy online but if you need something immediately, it's easily accessible for you there. There is a minimum that you need to use card payment but it's easy to reach it, i think it's like $5. Plenty of parking is available. But beware to not double park, park within the given lines, cause sometimes the police are strict and will ticket you. read more

I purchased a can of Sebastian Shaper hair spray from this store. Half way thru the using the product, it stopped spraying. I went back to the store and was told there was nothing they could do about it. I asked to purchase another can and they refused to sell me anything. I asked why, the person said it's up to her discretion. I said is it because I am black and she said yes. Really????? Luckys Beauty Supply is one of the best beauty supply stores in Long Island. It's not far from the parkway which makes it very convenient to get to. They are filled to the brim with stuff for your hair skin and nails if you think of it for Beauty they probably have it.I really like coming here when I don't feel like going far. The older gentleman in the back is by far my favorite he's very helpful and courteous. Returning a product for an exchange to this store after opening it, I felt like I was on trial. The sales rep went to the aisle and compared a closed one to the one I opened after I told her that I did and refused an exchange. I just bought it the night before and she acted like she was an expert or something. They have expanded their store throughout the years by adding more shelves, offering a variety of name brand products. Lucky beauty was always my go to store until today, the women at the counter was extremely rude!. I asked her for help and she told me help was in the the back . I asked if she could call someone and she told me I needed to open up my eyes and look for it myself. Now, here is the problem! If it wasn't for the community that they serve they wouldn't eat! Great place really inexpensive, they have a nice variance for all hair care needs even men products to boot. The employees are quite knowledgable in what they are selling I've never had a bad experience here. Only issue is at times the back area can get convoluted with items not yet put back on shelves and that's about it. read more

Very small, and no space to shop comfortably. Aisles are very narrow. Now there are better choices with the opening of Feel Beauty. Staff is incredibly rude at Lucky Beauty Supply. The guys stocking the shelves were helpful, but I couldn't get any help with the hair. The cash register clerks were rude. I purchased a hair dryer that didn't really get warm, nevermind hot. The clerk was condescending and tried to shame me because I hadn't paid a lot of money for it. I explained that I thought I was getting a bargain, but it defeats the purpose if it doesn't get warm. She was very nasty. If that wasn't enough, when I would go in after that she refused to check me out. When it was my turn to be next she would pretend she was busy with other things. The prices on everything in here is unbeatable. $6.99 for amplified Manic Panic is unheard of! I come here all the time. They sell a lot of ethnic hair products, but there are plenty of products for Caucasian hair as well. You can also buy all types of oils (my favorite being Peppermint), hair bows, hats, colored contacts, and jewelry! The staff is incredibly helpful, but I'm not sure if they know enough to give accurate hair advice, so definitely do your research or take advice from a licensed cosmetologist before entering. read more

This store does have a variety of hair products and their selection is huge. However, the customer service is severely lacking. I was told I couldn't try on the wig I selected because they didn't have it on display and the only ones available were in the original package. When I asked how then would I know if it's right for me, I was told it's store policy to not allow customers to try one some wigs and that they sell wigs in their original packaging. I was fine with that, so I made another selection. However, when I asked to purchase that new wig, I was told to just take the one off the mannequin. I was so upset, I walked out the store. If you go for a wig and it is out of stock in the color you chose, they get the item for you asap! The staff is wonderful. Whatever I need, shake and go wigs, big selection of styles and creolors, or something to help your hair grow faster, nail polish, make-up, earrings, anything and everything.
