On a Sunday morning in July, I made a visit to Fig Tree Coffee for a coffee drink. I found myself…read morein the Crafton area, and wanted to visit a local shop. Fig Tree Coffee is a newer coffee shop located in Crafton, right by the elementary school. They serve hot coffee, iced coffee, espresso drinks, tea, chai, and more. In addition to drinks, there are some food options available, along with gift-type items. Directly in front of the building, there is street parking available. There is also a private lot located to the left of the entrance for the entire building. The signage in the windows identifying the business makes it easy to locate. Fig Tree is truly a community coffee shop. It has plenty of seating, and proudly displays pieces of the community it serves. They have a bulletin board with local businesses, community events, and other information. Patrons seem to get their items and utilize the space to hang out and socialize. It is nice to see a place like this being utilized as intended! I stopped here around 8:45 AM, and it was not too crowded. There were a few other patrons in the building and in line ahead of me, but I only had to wait a few minutes to order my drink. It can be sort of overwhelming to try and order here, since the menu is so bare and there are not a ton of "special" drinks advertised. However, the baristas and staff will make anything you really are wanting, so I would not worry about this! They have different flavorings and combinations, you just need to ask or make a combination that you want to try when ordering. The barista that helped me on this visit was lovely. I was not exactly sure what I wanted, so I asked what she typically would order or make for herself. She ended up making me that exact drink in a 16 OZ Iced Drink. I enjoyed getting to try something different that I would not have picked for myself! Service was quick. I was in and out with my coffee in about 7 minutes, and that included waiting in line and taking a minute to order. The prices here are reasonable, and in line with what other local coffee shops are charging for similar products. They do accept both cash and card here, just FYI. I did not purchase any food or pastries, but the coffee prices were right in line with expectations. The vibe of this place is very cool, with a true community cafe feel. I love that they highlight their community. Not only with the people and events, but they even with a wall of Polaroids of the dogs that visit the shop! I even had a dog in line in front of me, so they are dog-friendly here. I give Fig Tree Coffee a positive review, and do recommend giving the shop a try if you find yourself in Crafton or the West End. It is a newer shop, but already has great ambiance and community presence. The staff are friendly, drinks are tasty, it is dog-friendly, and it is a great space to hang out or get some work done. I look forward to future visits to Fig Tree when I find myself in the area.

They source their baked goods from BB & Burr, and wow, they never disappoint! The chocolate chip scone was perfectly flavored and crumbly, can never go wrong with them. Overall, it's a great local spot that's part of the community and definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

Originally a local bank their decor and seating are unique, cozy and appreciative of individuals and small friend groups. The people who built the bank on this site years ago would be delighted to see this has once again become a daily gathering place for 'the regulars' and a place for everyone to mingle and enjoy the day.

I am a huge, let me say huge again, matcha snob. I know the best of the best and I get so nervous trying other shop's matchas but I was really blown away with how good this tasted. It wasn't too sweet or too "greeny" and the quality tasted really good compared to other places I have been too. I did get lavender as a flavor shot because some shops are either a hit or a miss with lavender (or any flavor where you can't taste it). I could definitely taste the lavender in here and it was really refreshing. To the gluten free community, this muffin was so good. I wish I remembered the name of who made it but it wasn't too sweet for being a muffin and was really good especially warmed. I felt like I was enjoying a balance of both sweet and refreshing than an overkill. I am also one of those people that would put chocolate with my matcha and possibly lavender as it combines really well. I definitely want to come back and try their coffee drinks as I'm curious about it. Another positive is their parking and getting out of the lot isn't so scary as there is a light and you don't have to risk your life trying to cut across the highway to get where you're going. The only complaint I would have, though it was a lovely treat, is that the pricing seemed a lot higher than what I'm used to paying at other local coffee shops. I felt like $1 for non-dairy milk is odd when a lot of other shops charge either 0 to .50 cents max and I felt like the drink overall was more pricey than if I went to another shop for a matcha. Note that my receipt says a price of $7, although their website and restaurant menu says $6.50. Turkish Black Tea - 4 stars - This tea tasted rich and slightly bitter. Moroccan Tea - 5 stars - I first encountered Moroccan tea last year when I vacationed in Morocco. This tea tasted similarly minty and sweet. Iced Chai Latte - 3 stars - My husband ordered this drink.
