Honestly a super wonderful shop. So much room with seating for all kinds of parties to attend. The drink specials are crazy and so tasty. I can't wait to utilize the outdoor area in the late spring and the summer!

I stopped by here a couple of Sundays ago with my wife and our twins for our morning coffee. Every Sunday morning, we try to hit up a new local coffee shop, and on this morning we decided to go to Kat's Coffeehouse. This location is right off Warrendale Road near Teasdale, and this was actually my second visit. The inside is interesting, with a counter to order and a pastry display case. Beyond that, there is a small library and a cozy lounge area with leather and upholstered chairs, side tables, and soft lighting. There's also retail shelving with mugs, bags, shirts, and other items for sale, giving the space a warm and welcoming feel. For our coffees on this most recent visit, my wife and I both went with their specials. I chose a honey and brown sugar latte, while my wife picked the Cherry Berry Mocha. This visit took a little longer than our previous one, and it was about 10 to 15 minutes before our coffees were ready. My coffee ended up being quite good. The honey and salted brown sugar added some nice flavor to the drink, but I could still taste the coffee in the background. My wife also really enjoyed her drink, judging by the fact that she has now ordered it twice in two visits. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Both my wife and I like the vibe of this coffeehouse as well as the coffee.

They've figured the recipe to the perfect hang-out spot in this area. Kat's coffeehouse is cute, charming, has lovely decor, friendly servers, good coffee/ tea/ snack options, and is a great place to meet friends for an hour. They have egg bites, coffee cakes, cake pops, (food from Sweet Peas) and Penn State Icecream. A few of us from our neighborhood wanted to get together there and Todd (owner with Kat) set up a lovely area for us. Keto? No problem they have plenty of sugar free syrups and are not shy about customizing. Haley, one of the lovely, friendly baristas whipped up a keto Raspberry Frappuccino that my kids beg and fight over. We've quickly fallen in love with Kat and everyone I've taken there has found it charming too.

The menu lists breakfast foods (e.g., pancakes, toasts, and sandwiches) and lunch foods (e.g., salads, sandwiches, and bowls). Baked goods, coffees, teas, and refreshers are also available. Customers may dine in, get takeout, order catering for outside events, or rent the greenhouse for special events. My husband and I ate one breakfast here. We placed our order at a counter, paid upfront, and then were given our drink and a number to take to a table of our choosing. The weather on that day was very rainy, so we sat inside the greenhouse rather than outside, and the employees carried our foods over in containers with lids. Here are my ratings for what we ate: Peach Berry Stuffed French Toast - 4.5 stars - This was a weekend special. Challah French toast was stuffed with lemon mascarpone, peaches, and mixed-berry compote. It had a large serving size and a nice mixture of sweet and sour flavors. Bloom Salad - 4.5 stars - This salad contained mixed greens, sliced apple, dried cherries, candied pecans, gorgonzola, red onion, and maple balsamic dressing. Blue cheese is not my favorite, but I enjoyed the freshness and flavors of the other ingredients. Breakfast Egg Sandwich Croissant - 4.5 stars - This sandwich consisted of a croissant filled with two eggs, cheese, and three strips of crispy bacon. On the side was a basic salad with dressing. My husband did not like how the salad dressing got on his sandwich. Chai Latte - 4.5 stars - This Rishi Masala chai concentrate with steamed milk tasted very good. The total price for these three foods and one drink was $49 plus a tip. Afterward, we explored the market and gardening center. Available for purchase were jewelry, flower pots, many types of indoor and outdoor plants, and much more. Two employees kindly offered me assistance with the plants. I loved seeing the exterior of a hobbit house, although it was too short for me to go inside. Please note that this business will hold a Tolkien-inspired Hobbit Fest on September 12, 2026. The festival will include live folk music, local artisan vendors, themed cafe foods, alcohol vendors, activities such as a costume contest, etcetera.

The ingredients were fresh, the aioli sauce and feta cheese paired well with the picked onion and roasted tomato. Especially love that you can sit outdoors while you eat (since it was hot, some people stayed inside). Also note, they do bring your food out to you, but you are expected to bus your own table. I ordered some coffee crumb cake too - nothing special but it was decent (needed more spice). Hope I can make it back to breakfast one of these days!

All I can say - OMG!…read more We have been talking about going here since u first heard about Neff Haus ... and today we decided to drive from the south hills of PGH to finally try for ourselves! It did not disappoint! I had the Bestie and my nice had the strawberry pretzel salad- both were delicious! We even went to the popcorn place affiliated with them -- u have to look for the Popkins review next! There is a small parking lot across the street - which I am sure gets busy at night ( we went when they first opened). Next time... pineapple Sophia!!!

We only got to try the melty this time but definitely want to come back to try more flavors and the cloud. It's a cute brick shop with limited space for potential lines. We went early in the day so there wasn't too much of a wait but I hear it gets very busy- and I can see why! Their treats are so unique and I've never had anything like it! The cookie dough ice cream is essentially ice cream with your choice of cookie dough scooped right on top. The Melty, which is what we tried, is your flavor choice but warmed and melty at the bottom of the cup with the ice cream on top. There is some seating in the back as well but not a ton so grab a spot if you see one! The Apple pie melty my husband got was delicious. Warm Apple pie filling with yummy vanilla ice cream on top and a nice layer of pie crust at the bottom that helped off set the sweetness of everything else. I got the two in one version of a melty that they offer which is their nighttime brownie batter and peanut butter cookie dough all warm and gooey at the bottom with vanilla ice cream piled on top. Although both were very delicious they are also both very decadent. Splitting one if you don't have the biggest sweet tooth is a good idea for how rich and plentiful it is. We will be back!
