Honestly a super wonderful shop. So much room with seating for all kinds of parties to attend. The drink specials are crazy and so tasty. I can't wait to utilize the outdoor area in the late spring and the summer!

I stopped by here a couple of Sundays ago with my wife and our twins for our morning coffee. Every Sunday morning, we try to hit up a new local coffee shop, and on this morning we decided to go to Kat's Coffeehouse. This location is right off Warrendale Road near Teasdale, and this was actually my second visit. The inside is interesting, with a counter to order and a pastry display case. Beyond that, there is a small library and a cozy lounge area with leather and upholstered chairs, side tables, and soft lighting. There's also retail shelving with mugs, bags, shirts, and other items for sale, giving the space a warm and welcoming feel. For our coffees on this most recent visit, my wife and I both went with their specials. I chose a honey and brown sugar latte, while my wife picked the Cherry Berry Mocha. This visit took a little longer than our previous one, and it was about 10 to 15 minutes before our coffees were ready. My coffee ended up being quite good. The honey and salted brown sugar added some nice flavor to the drink, but I could still taste the coffee in the background. My wife also really enjoyed her drink, judging by the fact that she has now ordered it twice in two visits. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Both my wife and I like the vibe of this coffeehouse as well as the coffee.

They've figured the recipe to the perfect hang-out spot in this area. Kat's coffeehouse is cute, charming, has lovely decor, friendly servers, good coffee/ tea/ snack options, and is a great place to meet friends for an hour. They have egg bites, coffee cakes, cake pops, (food from Sweet Peas) and Penn State Icecream. A few of us from our neighborhood wanted to get together there and Todd (owner with Kat) set up a lovely area for us. Keto? No problem they have plenty of sugar free syrups and are not shy about customizing. Haley, one of the lovely, friendly baristas whipped up a keto Raspberry Frappuccino that my kids beg and fight over. We've quickly fallen in love with Kat and everyone I've taken there has found it charming too.

The matcha latte and london fog i got, plus a bonus gift card! ps, i loved what i ordered. they nailed it

The coffee facts posted outside were reassuring, namely all the health benefits in my cup of Java that was being freshly brewed! I wish there was a menu outside, but nevertheless a nice local spot!

Since we were in the Mars area, we decided to head over to the Mars Brew House. This shop is located in downtown Mars on Pittsburgh Street. It is located in what looks to be an old large house and I think that you were able to go in at one point in time but only the window was open on this morning. The gentleman that was working the window as super nice and introduced his dogs to both of my kids. After looking around for the menu, he had to take a picture of it with my phone so that I could see it. After looking at it l ultimately decided on a large latte and after being asked about a flavor chose toasted marshmallow while my wife also chose a latte and went with hazelnut for her flavoring. It wasn't long before we had our coffees and headed to our car. My coffee here ended up being alright. The flavor of marshmallow was good but I found the coffee itself to be mostly lost behind it and the milk. So it wasn't bad but I just wish that I had more flavor coming through on what should have been the star. My wife did at least enjoy her hazelnut coffee. The bottom line for me is that I might stop by here again in the future. While my wife enjoyed her latte, I definitely could have used more coffee flavor in mine.

Wow...what a lovely place!!! I was so pleasantly surprised with how beautiful this cafe was inside,…read moreespecially with all of the wonderful plants! It's such a versatile space where people can come together to use this space however they please (respectfully of course, hehehe). It was wonderful to see the kind of atmosphere Cafe Conmigo has cultivated here...so welcoming! The barista's were very friendly and seemed to have great energy! I had the lemon ginger honey loose-leaf tea, and gosh it was the BEST tea I've ever had in my life! I really enjoy how they have reusable glassware for enjoying items inside the cafe--their super cute mug is pictured here. I'm honestly super excited to go back! This location is out of the way for me but I am absolutely willing to go the distance for this little peace of heaven! & so should you! :D

I am really trying to get out of my usual coffee shops that I like to hang out at so I decided to…read morestart here as I heard so much about it online. I loved how I was greeted and how it felt welcoming + how many things they offer outside of the drinks. They sell plants and other cute little items (esp Pittsburgh themed). Seating was super cool but I sadly needed an outlet and had to reserve at a larger table as the smaller ones were full. I love how the plants and the environment gives a nice work space without it being too overwhelming. I felt comfortable though I felt a bit weird being at a larger table for being 1 person. (I also went in the afternoon about 1.5 hours before they closed). Now let's get into the food and the drink which is probably the highlight of the visit. I am a huge, let me say huge again, matcha snob. I know the best of the best and I get so nervous trying other shop's matchas but I was really blown away with how good this tasted. It wasn't too sweet or too "greeny" and the quality tasted really good compared to other places I have been too. I did get lavender as a flavor shot because some shops are either a hit or a miss with lavender (or any flavor where you can't taste it). I could definitely taste the lavender in here and it was really refreshing. To the gluten free community, this muffin was so good. I wish I remembered the name of who made it but it wasn't too sweet for being a muffin and was really good especially warmed. I felt like I was enjoying a balance of both sweet and refreshing than an overkill. I am also one of those people that would put chocolate with my matcha and possibly lavender as it combines really well. I definitely want to come back and try their coffee drinks as I'm curious about it. Another positive is their parking and getting out of the lot isn't so scary as there is a light and you don't have to risk your life trying to cut across the highway to get where you're going. The only complaint I would have, though it was a lovely treat, is that the pricing seemed a lot higher than what I'm used to paying at other local coffee shops. I felt like $1 for non-dairy milk is odd when a lot of other shops charge either 0 to .50 cents max and I felt like the drink overall was more pricey than if I went to another shop for a matcha. I don't know how often I will be back but it was nice to try it. (Gluten free stuff is always pricey so I can't complain about that..)
