I was searching for a tattoo artist to fix a quarter sleeves cover up which was not an easy task due to bad work at a cheap price (lesson learned). I researched local artist online for a few days looking at their work, reviews and locations as I wanted to stay local. When I came across All American Tattoo I was looking at artist work which included straight lines, shading and art that seemed challenging and was pleased with Heaths work. So I called All American Tattoo and spoke with Heath directly who seemed very knowledgeable and requested that I stop in so that he could take a look at my tattoo and we could discuss options. I showed up to the location the same day after speaking to Heath over the phone. I was politely greeted by Heath. I also found that the lobby was clean. He took the time to go over each detail carefully and discussed the best option. I felt comfortable in knowing that he was so passionate for the work and took such pride. I set my appointment up and received a follow up call by Heath a few days prior to our 1st session. The day of our appointment I was again greeted by Heath who had such excitement to work on such a big cover up job. He again took the time to discuss options and colors before we got started - I did not feel rushed or pressured. One of the most important parts of my visit was that he took the extra few seconds to make sure that all the equipment he would be using on me was covered carefully with a wrap including the arm rest on the chair that I would be laying on to assure that it was sanitized for my safety and his. Big thumbs up on that!!! He worked on my arm for 2 1/2 hours checking on me, conversating and making sure that I was comfortable the entire time. During the 1st hour a man came in to get a cover up by another artist and within the first 5 min's the mans eyes started rolling in the back of his head as if he was about to pass out.... I made Heath aware of the situation as his back was turned away from the man and Heath took immediate action to assist the other artist to assure that the man was okay. After our first session was completed we discussed our next session and went over the instructions on how to take care of the tattoo for the 1st 4 days. He also provided me with instructions in writing. The work has turned out to be everything that I dreamed of having. You can not tell that there was even something under the cover up. The lines, shading and colors he used are right on point. I'm super excited about going back for our 2nd session. I would highly recommend Heath for his dedication, passion and the pride he has shown for his work. read more

This place ROCKS. My sister and I wanted matching tattoos and only had a small window of opportunity in which to do it, as she was in town from Colorado only for a few days. I had done my research online, reading reviews of all the different shops in the area. After reaching out to one shop only to be told we HAD to go in first--obviously they didn't actually read my email which very clearly stated that we wouldn't have time for that, or they just didn't care to try and work with me or help me--I decided to go on a hunch that the couple bad reviews I saw on here about All American were probably just posted by cranky assholes. My hunch was right on. Heath was AWESOME. Josh was AWESOME. Heath called me within hours after I emailed him. He understood my situation and worked out an appointment for us. We had to go a little out of our way to the Stafford location instead of Manassass but the kind, courteous, and very welcoming staff more than made it worth our while. My sister and I couldn't be happier with our tattoos. A huge thank you to Heath and Josh for taking the time to work with us to make sure we got exactly what we wanted, and for, might I add, not ripping us off! Reasonably priced, beautiful work. I, like many others, stopped in because I saw the $30 piercing sign. I was skeptical because it was so cheap, but I found out this is the same company that has a shop in Stafford, so if they already have a business, they have to be legit, right? The first day I went, the piercer was stuck in traffic and they had no idea when he would be there so I decided to come back a week later. We went in and it was just one guy working, luckily he was the guy I needed to see. I was worried that it would be difficult to pierce my tragus because it is very small, but he confidently said that it would be no problem. He was very friendly and helpful, even when it came to looking through all the tattoos in the shop. My friend was telling him about her belly button piercing having issues both times she had it done. He took a look and instantly told her it was because the piercing was too shallow. He said if she wanted, he would do it for her free of charge until it started healing. If there was a problem, she didn't have to pay for a thing, but if it was healing properly then she could come back and pay him. That is a guy who stands behind his work. I plan to go back for another piercing, and more than likely for tattoos as well. I would definitely recommend it(and have many times) to friends and strangers alike. read more

I use to come here all the time for TIM, but i went in the other day just to find out that he does not work there anymore when i asked where he went HEATH was extremely rude and refused to tell me where he works now (which by the way is GOOD TIMES TATTOO a half mile up the street) so for shits and giggles i decided to see if HEATH could do my tattoo i wanted it was a 2inch by 2inch name (my sons) on my shoulder blade he quoted me at $175, which is way overpriced and when i asked him why it was so much he said arrogantly "Because honestly getting a name on you is stupid...and bc my work is worth that much." then when i asked to see his license bc TIM was always on display and i did not see HEATHS and he couldn't produce one to show me which tells me he doesn't have one, SO EVERYBODY GO SEE TIM HES AN AMAZING ARTIST, AND TREATS ALL HIS CUSTOMERS LIKE FRIENDS!!! *P.S - i got my sons name done by TIM at GOOD TIMES for 80 bucks it turned out perfect just like all the ones hes done on me, i would definitely recommend him!! read more

I was going to go to another tattoo shop in the area, but at the last minute went here on suggestion of my husband who had heard about them. I went in and made an appointment with Carrie, the people there were super nice and easy to talk to. Didn't feel judged for not having any visible tattoo's and looking like a preppy girl. I could of made an appointment sooner then a week out but needed some time. Went in, Carrie was there and prepping everything, was very friendly and made me feel at ease. The tattoo took about 1.5 hours, 2 with a few breaks. CARRIE WAS AMAZING! She has been in the biz for 17 years and her specialty is big black and grey tattoos. She had a soft hand, which helped, and listened to me when I need to readjust. The tattoo itself came out amazing! I would go to her again in a heart beat! She also guarantees her work for life so if u need a touch up at any point she will do it for free! Clean, awesome place would go again in a heart beat! read more

Jenn pierced my daughters nose for her birthday. I spent a month reading reviews and researching tattoo shops before deciding to take her to all american tattoo. I emailed them with a ton of questions first. Jenn was extremely helpful and responded very quick. And she was a total sweetheart! When we finally decided to take her last night to get it done. They were a little busy. We waited about 30 minutes. While waiting they made us feel very comfortable. My youngest daughter who's 8 was also there with us and they even made her feel comfortable. When it came time for her piercing I went back with her and noticed everything was neat and clean. She was very thorough in explaining the process and what she was doing. Everyone at all American tattoo was great! We will be going back for all our piercing needs. And possibly tattoos also. This was a great experience and I highly recommend them. read more

As a person who has done most of my piercings at home (I am broke) , I highly recommend this place. The prices are very reasonable. During COVID-19 I felt that everything was sterilized appropriately and the employees followed proper health & safety procedures. I went here to get double brow piercings in March and Nicole did an excellent job! It went super quick and painlessly. I had minimal swelling/redness/pain at home the day after and throughout the next few weeks. She kept in touch with me through IG throughout the healing process and made sure to answer any questions I had about it. She also offered some tips when the right one started to reject (approximately the first week of June 2021) . At the moment, I'm patiently waiting for the site to heal up so I can redo it. Now...scroll down to the bottom and see the light grey 24+ reviews that are "not recommended"...well they're all positive minus one from a fan of Tim and that review is false and meant to hurt All American. God rest his soul. Why are so many filtered? Yelp wants us to pay $300-400 a month in advertising fees and if we don't then just like a bully in grade school they hold you by your arm behind your back by blocking almost all the positive reviews unless you give them your lunch money. I have been to many tattoo places all around the country and I must admit, AAT has to be the best so far. I went in, was greeted by Heath immediately, explained to him what I wanted, and without question, he produced it without any confusion. He then even stayed open late so that he could finish my tattoo. The shop is extremely clean with state of the art equipment. Heath even went as far as to show me all the tools were cleaned, the needle(s) were brand new as he opened them in front of me. The best part, we had great conversation during the process of getting it done while all the time, he was paying close attention to detail and not skipping a beat. I had done some research online and found All American Tattoo in Manassas. My husband and I both were looking to have tattoos done. We stopped by on a Friday nite and was greeted by Sherri, who is the artist we were looking to speak with. She went over all of our options and she drew up our tattoos. My husband wanted a portrait done of our 4th child and I wanted her name added along with a weeping cherry tree added to my leg! She got us in the following friday and saturday and both pieces are beautiful! We are already working with her to have our next pieces done!! I have to give this place a 5 star. I wanted a simple tattoo that I went to three shops before and they all told me it was too close to closing i would have to make an app. I walked in here expecting the same thing but was greeted by Heath who volunteered to stay late to do this for me and charged such a great price. It's been almost a year and not one touch up is needed. I am actually going back soon to get another one done by him. The writing he did is perfect and while he was doing it he was extremely professional and nice. Went in on a Saturday. Place was packed!!! Literally...they had 15 people in the front lobby! Unlike the other review, Heath was very polite and apologized for the crowd...which has nothing to do with him. He talked with us for a good while, discussing what my wife wanted for a new tattoo. No pressure or rudeness. Nice, clean shop. He's going to draw up a custom design. We had to schedule an appointment because they were so busy, but that's OK. Update: Heath did an AMAZING job! He drew up a beautiful design. The quality is first-rate. The outline is perfect and the color shading is excellent. I've got several tats and will be using him for my next one. read more

(Gainesville location) I went to Storyteller to get my nose pierced because a lot of my friends got theirs done by Danny there. The cheap jewelry ended up falling out after 1 day! I tried going back but both days they were closed when they said they were open. I decided to go to All American to get them to put the nose stud back in. They did an amazing job! Great location, super clean, cheap prices but very high quality! I ended up getting a new sturdier and higher quality stud (only $10)! To get a piercing there it's $30 including jewelry compared to $40 at Storyteller and crap jewelry. I highly recommend this place and won't be going anywhere else for piercings! read more

Sad....but I wish there was a no star rating because the Manassas location is the worst place I've ever been. Jenn is such a rude, irresponsible, and a lying individual. If you want great service go to the stafford location trust me it's worth the drive. Everyone one in stafford is so understanding, and very polite and professional individuals. I got 4 piercings yesterday and I am definitely going back for more and for tattoos. Honestly they should just find someone else for Manassas location because with Jenn business is awful she also likes to take deposits then not do the work and not even call you. I went in to get a nose piercing today, and I was not disappointed at all. The entire staff was extremely nice and helpful, the music wasn't blaring, and overall it was a relaxed atmosphere. I got pierced by Andrew, who took time to explain the process, and helped coach me through the actual piercing portion. He was pleasant and very thorough with before and after cleaning of the piercing. I was able to ask questions and get honest opinions, which was helpful with deciding which side to get pierced. Overall I had a great experience at All American Tattoo, and will definitely look into coming back for future piercings. read more

I got my septum and tongue pierced today by Jenn. She was super professional and so nice! I kept tilting my head back as a reflex and she was very understanding the whole time and never got annoyed. On my way home from the shop, one of the balls on my septum piercing fell off so I went back and she quickly replaced the whole piercing. Overall, I was a little skeptical of the service I would be getting because of how much the piercing cost ($30 each), but Jenn was perfect and I'll definitely be coming back to see her for any other piercings, and possibly tattoos, in the future. read more

First off, Jenn is FANTASTIC!!! I walked in wanting to get my nape (back of my neck) pierced and Jenn was very upfront stating that it's not covered under her license. She is very professional and helped me decide on getting my tragus pierced instead. She's friendly and talkative and makes you feel so relaxed when getting a piercing! Amazing! My piercer was awesome and made me feel so comfortable, after hearing horror stories about my friends piercings, I was a bit more than nervous. I went with the same two friends who were skeptical at first, but once the staff helped us out and the piercer kept informing me of the wait/ making sure we were ok, my friends completely changed their minds.
