My girl experienced trauma from the attack and I didn't want a reoccurrence so we had to withdraw her from attending. We just recently tried to take her to another facility, but unbeknownst to us she was removed from the system. Now the process has to start from scratch because the facility manager at Plainfield will not communicate with another facility to validate my girl. I don't want to speak ill of the situation, but my rating speaks for itself. My girl deserved better!

The convenient Wheaton location of the facility is great for daycare and they also allow for half-day daycare too. Very flexible scheduling. When I pick my dog up, I can tell that she's received personalized attention from the staff and that she has been well cared for. Often she's been able to work one-on-one with a staff member for nearly all of her half-day session. We also attend the group classes which are incredibly unique and let my dog build up practice interacting with other dogs in a way that reinforce new, good behaviors. My neighbors are thrilled with the progress almost as much as I am - my dog no longer automatically barks at everyone outside now and is able to make new friends. The in home training we did originally was incredibly valuable to get us started on the right foot. We need to do that again very soon! Is it the least expensive daycare and/or training in the area? No. But it is ABSOLUTELY worth it. When I leave my dog in the care of The Canine's Voice I know that she's going to be safe, loved, and will learn a few things while she's there. Absolute no from me. I was out earlier this evening with my boyfriend and 5 month old puppy. We had…read morebeen sitting and eating for about 15 minutes when trainer Bryan Mitchell came up on the side of us with an off leash dog that he was training and proceeded to play fetch with the dog, and have it stand on a fire hydrant for about 45 minutes. He did not once ask us if our dog was ok around other dogs or if we were comfortable with him doing this. My puppy became very upset and while loudly discussing this and my dissatisfaction that the trainer refused to acknowledge us (after clearly seeing and hearing our pup) we decided that we had to leave dinner early. Every other person who interacted with us and our dog was able to ask our and our dogs comfort level, but a PROFESIONAL couldn't? That is absolutely ridiculous. If you want a disrespectful trainer who refuses to acknowledge boundaries this is the place to go. And Brian... next time don't wear a company logo or just use your beautiful and ample indoor space to teach these tricks.

I have read the reviews here and the negatives seem to be about how the new business is being run and NOT about Ian's ability as a trainer. Hopefully Ian reads the reviews and fixes those parts of the business that are causing negative reviews. MY STORY: We adopted a rescue dog (a 80 lbs. Chow) and gets overly excited and therefore no one else wanted it. When we first got her it was difficult for me and impossible for my wife to walk the dog. Although it was funny to watch the dog pull my wife around the neighborhood, something had to be done. We called a company and Ian came over and spent about 15 minutes talking with us about the dog and about us. He asked us what we wanted to accomplish. He then took the dog on a 10 minute walk by himself. When he came back we all went for a walk and I was amazed we had a new dog. Our dog was walking behind him and was constantly looking at Ian for direction. Ian then let us walk the dog and show us how to hold the leash and to correct the dog. Within a couple more visits our dog was exercising on a treadmill and retrieving beers from the fridge for me (kidding on this one.) I will say you will have to continue to be consistent with the dog. Dogs are very smart and will want to follow a leader, the problem is when we forget to be that leader.
