I have a very special little dog who…read moreneeds a lot of training and attention to help overcome her behavioral challenges and they not only understood what to do immediately, we've been making steady progress since we first met everyone. The convenient Wheaton location of the facility is great for daycare and they also allow for half-day daycare too. Very flexible scheduling. When I pick my dog up, I can tell that she's received personalized attention from the staff and that she has been well cared for. Often she's been able to work one-on-one with a staff member for nearly all of her half-day session. We also attend the group classes which are incredibly unique and let my dog build up practice interacting with other dogs in a way that reinforce new, good behaviors. My neighbors are thrilled with the progress almost as much as I am - my dog no longer automatically barks at everyone outside now and is able to make new friends. The in home training we did originally was incredibly valuable to get us started on the right foot. We need to do that again very soon! Is it the least expensive daycare and/or training in the area? No. But it is ABSOLUTELY worth it. When I leave my dog in the care of The Canine's Voice I know that she's going to be safe, loved, and will learn a few things while she's there. The classes are incredibly valuable too. The results speak for themselves.

She had plenty of tips and techniques and it was nice having her visit the home for the sessions to see how he is in that environment. After several mixed purpose sessions I feel like we're on the path to success, maybe. We hope .

There was a time where I thought we weren't going to be a good fit but Michelle was so amazing in helping us figure out our Sully and put plans in place when he was out of control. i look at him know and it breaks my heart we almost gave up on him but thanks to Michelle, we didn't have too!

We heard about Michele's services through word of mouth and after speaking with her felt convinced she was a good fit for us and our puppy. Michele is very engaging, hands on, and extremely knowledgeable. Her flexibility with being able to come to our home or train virtually was also great. She uses very positive training techniques followed up by downloadable email notes and articles related to what we just trained on and other training not covered during that session. She also provides many product reviews which was extremely helpful for purchasing items for our puppy. Throughout the training it became apparent to Michele that our puppy might be dealing with anxiety issues that at first was a major pain point for our family to the point of almost having to re-home our new puppy. Michele worked with us and pointed us in the right direction to have our dog evaluated with our vet. We did discover that our pup does indeed have an anxiety issue. After patience from Michele and medication for our puppy, the training literally changed for the positive within a couple of days which made us eventually change our mind about re-homing and continue to work with Michele until the end of our scheduled training. We would highly recommend Michele for any of your training needs for your new pup or mature dog . You will not be disappointed!

I can not rate the business because I used Ian when he worked for another training company. I have read the reviews here and the negatives seem to be about how the new business is being run and NOT about Ian's ability as a trainer. Hopefully Ian reads the reviews and fixes those parts of the business that are causing negative reviews. MY STORY: We adopted a rescue dog (a 80 lbs. Chow) and gets overly excited and therefore no one else wanted it. When we first got her it was difficult for me and impossible for my wife to walk the dog. Although it was funny to watch the dog pull my wife around the neighborhood, something had to be done. We called a company and Ian came over and spent about 15 minutes talking with us about the dog and about us. He asked us what we wanted to accomplish. He then took the dog on a 10 minute walk by himself. When he came back we all went for a walk and I was amazed we had a new dog. Our dog was walking behind him and was constantly looking at Ian for direction. Ian then let us walk the dog and show us how to hold the leash and to correct the dog. Within a couple more visits our dog was exercising on a treadmill and retrieving beers from the fridge for me (kidding on this one.) I will say you will have to continue to be consistent with the dog. Dogs are very smart and will want to follow a leader, the problem is when we forget to be that leader. Good luck Ian with the business and please fix the issues raised by others so you can continue helping other dogs.
