Just finished an early meal at Lucky. It was our first visit and won't be our last. Despite the recent heat, there was a lovely breeze and the misters were on making it quite comfortable. Sat at the bar, where Charlotte explained their pizza process and took great care of us. Ordered the Queen Margot and a White Gold. Bothe pizzas were delicious. Loved the San Marzano sauce of the Queen and the garlic and basil on the Gold was delightful. Thanks for the dinner. read more

I have been here a few times since their opening. It is all outdoor seating, so it is a treat to soak up the sun on a nice day there. They keep their space very clean to! The pizza itself is the BEST in Pensacola. I urge people to do their research before coming here, because it is a very specific type of pizza. My husband brought this pizza home tonight. We have lived here for 3 years from Texas. We have search high & low for this specific pizza. It's not your ordinary "pizza" it's wood fired pizza with fresh ingredients. It is Parma Pizza it's the most expensive one. This wood fired pizza is so delicious. Three years! We have driven by it a hundred times and Michael would talk about it & say we need to try it and he said it's take out only. I just kinda shrugged about it. I'm just upset we didn't try it sooner. In Texas there was a restaurant we loved that served us olives like these with a variety of flavors (citrus peel) in it. It was fantastic. Just saying don't judge a book by its cover. read more

We ordered 7 pizzas on 8/29 and it took well over 80 minutes to receive our pizzas, despite a lack of filled tables. They can only cook 2 pizzas at a time. We did not think the pizzas were worth the price whatsoever - lacking in flavor, lacking in toppings, and tiny. They also charged us an automatic 20% gratuity for a large party, which was never mentioned to us verbally, nor did it appear on the menu. Management didn't care. Service was lacking. I had seen it a few times so my kids and I just stopped in on a Friday around 445 pm. So before you go, it is all outdoor seating without a lot of shade. Pro: O.K. pizza, four slices per. Fresh/organic ingredients were a plus and something I appreciate. I'm sure the ambiance would be pretty cool once the sun goes down. Con: It took just over an hour to get two 12 inch pepperoni pizzas. The two pizzas and 3 cups of tap water ran me $52. I'll check websites from here on out, I promise. read more

Food is good but agree with others price is rather high for a smaller pizza. There are 2 other neo style pizza in the area that do have larger pizzas with better prices. Service was friendly but not any recommendations for first timers.... Loved the outside and the music and that there was water made available. They also have 2 different types of pepper toppers for the pizza which were also good. Salad was also good but for the price again kind of small. The ingredients are great and fresh but definitely not my first choice for pizza unfortunately. I think the way need to create a discounted pizza night or some kind of happy hour. read more

No debate required - Lucky Dough's is the best pizza in Pensacola! Got a classic pepperoni, and I was not disappointed. I'm a dough guy, and the dough here is undeniable, plus the fresh ingredients - dude I could here twice a week! The price is right where it should be, given the quality and awesome customer service. I ordered it to go, but decided to stay and three slices later I was shocked. I can't believe I have been sleeping on this place (ate the last piece on the drive home it was so good). If I was only reviewing the pizza I'd give 10 stars. The pizza is incredible. The dough is absolutely everything you want it to be, it truly is world class and they deserve the top 50 rating they received. It is very light, but has the crisp and chew you would expect from an incredible Neapolitan style crust. I've read reviews where people complain about the price, and to them I say, this isn't a chain where you're trying to feed the whole family for as little as possible, this is world class pizza made using the finest ingredients and it shows. I'd pay more if I had to. I just can't say enough good things about how well the pizza and dough are executed. The downfall, and yes, unfortunately there are some, is having to sit in the heat and the blazing sun. I'm hopeful they can rectify this issue because I would hate to not see this place survive because of all the factors that aren't the food. The drink list is lacking, I would love to see a full bar and more selections on the beer list, but this can be overlooked, but I do hope they eventually acquire a liquor license. They have streaming music, and as anyone knows, being downtown the signal can be very spotty, and the music kept losing signal and going out. I hope to see either a move to a new location or an effort to provide more shade. Maybe even some fans and misters would help? Would be incredible on a nice Fall day when the temperatures aren't unbearable. I will say this again though, the pizza is the best around, no doubt. Let's start with the good. The ambiance and they are dog friendly. Now the bad. I would love to comment on the food however, I still haven't got to taste it because I'm still waiting. I've been waiting for over an hour while other people have come in after me and receive their orders. But have been told that they were waiting for 40 minutes. Now I'm no mathematician but I think 60 minutes is greater than 40 minutes. I think they forgot my order and will not own up to it. Good thing I don't have an event to go too... ohhh wait I do (and I'm late), now I know what you're thinking. Why didn't you allot extra time for the event. I didn't think it would be that long when Papa John's can make 4 pizzas in 15 minutes. Another Pensacola restaurant that doesn't get it. Apparently you can only order the pizzas they offer and can't add additional ingredients. No you cant add sausage to your pizza. I asked if I could add pepperoni to the vegetable pizza and the answer was "No you can't add pepperoni!" What? They have a pepperoni pizza but you can't add it to one of the other pizzas on the menu. We paid $25 for a four slice pizza, and had to go the "bar" to get a couple of beers. All in with tip about $45.00. For a smallish pizza and two beers. I hope the owners pay attention because if I had known before got there that was how they operated I definitely would've gone elsewhere. The pizza we had was ok, but I will never go back. Make some changes and it might work, but as it is this concept will not! Good luck! read more
