Okay I just have to say I've been On a quest to find delicious, awesome pizza somewhere in Pensacola. Prior to visiting East Hill I found some pretty good, good, and maybe two really good options. Until this, though, I hadn't found a great option. Let me tell you, our pizza from East Hill was excellent! Not only was the pizza awesome, service was really good. Shelton the Kitchen Manager heard me mention it was my first visit and he stuck around to ensure I received the perfect pizza, he even delivered it to our table personally and chatted for a minute or two before leaving for the day. The place itself is kind of small, but it's clean and they're done a great job arranging the tables and have it pleasantly decorated. Will we be back? Tried this pizza via gift certificate. Easy to find. Wasn't too busy on a Saturday. Did get a bit of sticker shock on their prices. Ordered the meat pizza was told the wait time was around 30 minutes. Pizza looked nice enough but was under cooked for my liking. Had 2 bottles of beer. I was underwhelmed with the taste. To me 2 clicks above frozen pizza but was edible. I can see why they are offering 2 gift certificates for half off. Incredibly disappointed with my pizza at East Hill. My wife and I got a cheese pizza to take back home after a long day at the beach. They closed at 9 so we called at 8 and they said 45 mins for 1 pizza. Pulled up and still wasn't ready, I don't mind waiting for good food but this wasn't it. We opened up the pizza and it was slightly undercooked as evidenced by the mess the cheese created, what was even more aggravating was they hardly even cut the slices, we had to use a fork and knife to separate the pizza ourselves and it just was not at all enjoyable. I make it a point to stop and get pizza from here when I'm on this side of town. If not, I will drive all the way from Perdido to get their pizza. Sadly the nearly quarter tank of gas was a waste. The pizza was gummy and burnt. I should have taking a look before I left with my order. The garlic cheese bread was the same. The girl at the register was nice. Very good pizza!! Nice thick crust with great Italian seasoning. Nothing too greasy and with grilled chicken and veggies this was almost healthy. Finally made the time to try this really interesting looking place after driving past for years. The parking was horrible. There is no table service, you have to order at a fast food counter. Counter staff were friendly, courteous, and professional. Menu was complicated and difficult to read. The combo pizza I ordered tasted average to bad but my spouse did enjoy hers. Listen closely. If you take ANYTHING from this review, you must get their Korean BBQ pizza (called the Lloyd). It is the best pizza I've ever had. I would go so far to say it's perfect. The cheeseburger pizza is alright. The Hawaiian pizza is good. Skip the garlic cheese bread. They're known for their Cuban pizza, but we stopped trying new pizzas after the Korean BBQ because I can't see how anything could be better. I'm trying the s'mores beignets tonight. I'm so excited. The side salad was served with two, less than half filled small containers of very watery and tasteless bleu cheese dressing with no bleu cheese crumbles at all. This pizza was incredible! The only reason it's not 5 stars is because there's a lot of great pizza in the area so I've got to be critical (but I think 4 stars is still great). They are definitely in my top 3-4 in the Pcola/Pcola Beach/Gulf Breeze/Navarre areas. My wife and I split an 18" 12th Ave. Tons of cheese and delicious flavor. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone in the area and can't wait to go back! Also, non-taste related... they have a program called Pizza Pay it Forward where you can buy a slice or pie in advance for someone who comes in needing it. I thought that was such a cool idea! I've eaten pizza at this place 3 or 4 times. The last time was a couple of weeks ago. I've ordered entire pizzas and I've ordered by the slice - a very nice service, especially if you're alone. The pizza has always been good. It's made like pizza used to be made. Simple, and made with good ingredients.
