Forty minutes in line so the kids aren't on the rides until forty five minutes after opening.Employees were not ready for opening time. Overpriced and not worth it even if it was free. No shade or benches for families in the fair area. Only tent was for the drinkers in the Biergarten. No new rides as advertised. There were less rides but the same old ones. You have to really search the website to find out anything. They don't mention the rides at all that will be there. Fair opens at 11 but rides start at 1pm yet you can't get on the rides until you wait in the long line to get in. Forty minutes wasted being herded through no designated lines. All of the ticket lines were nondescript until you got to the window which had a hand written "prepay" in marker which was small. The lines weren't moving at 1pm like they should've. Employees didn't have a scanner to scan tickets so they sent you elsewhere. Employees weren't at the rides to run the rides at opening time. There were also mechanical issues on rides and one was closed due to an issue. My children said they don't want to go to the fairgrounds ever again and I agree completely with them. There will continue to be a steep decline in fair goers due to the lack of organization, price and no one available to oversee that everything runs smoothly. The map that is handed out for the fairgrounds shows things not available like cooling stations. There are no cooling stations in the rides area. The cooling stations were on one side of the fairgrounds as per the map but did not exist. You'd think after a decade that the fair would be streamlined by now.

I've taken 3 improv classes now and might someday shed my fear to try standup. Safety: the club has a no heckling policy. Getting up on stage in front of people is hard. Sitting in a dark crowd and offering shitty criticism is easy. I appreciate each and every person that's getting up there to try and entertain a crowd - it's a lot of work conquering your anxiety in the spotlight, and nobody gets it right 100% of the time. LBC is a place that welcomes people to start for the first time and go on a learning journey. We may not be NYC but I think it's pretty damn good for MT. Safety was something stressed in Improv 1 and I appreciated that (stressing it in all classes would be cool too). Community: come more than just one night to LBC and you'll quickly realize that the team behind LBC has built a pretty cool community of folks that care about making others laugh. People in the community care about connection, and realize that the diversity of that community can have it's challenges, but those are also the things that make it special. This is a place where you can make real friends. I sure have.

Arkinda's professional demeanor blended with her personal, warm, familiar demeanor made the whole night start on the right note. On the subject of service, I need say no.more than it was flawless in timing, information, and grace. That sort of service reflects training and discipline. Kudos to the staff trainer!. Just remember that the rest of my review Ok, on to the culinsry part: The first course was asparagus, frizee, and poached egg with black truffle. Let me say, when I prepare asparagus at home, I only aim for the right texture If I have the right texture, I automatically have the perfect flavor. I would gladly take lessons from the chef because the asparagus was as close to perfect as I could ever imagine. Likewise, I have consumed hundreds of poached wggs in my lifetime. None of them matched the balance of fluid and solid in my dish. It wasn't enough to prepare the right "doneness ";the sprinkle of black truffle was a subtle yet salient addition that would have won some TV chef show the blue ribbon. The second course was essentially grilled scallops with a ginger-carrot sauce. OK, scallops done to my standard are golden brown on the top and bottom and just a bit translucent in the middle. The scallops are half dollar size and just a pair for the perfect portion size. Mark a checkmark in all tnose boxes! Add extra marks for one of the most understatedly elegant sauces to match a simple, elegant, delicious, marquee entry. Our third course was Montana Wagyu beef with that black ("Forbidden"?) rice. Again, I didn't order medium rare, but what arrived was exactly what I wantedat hoho. Maybe they were lucky, or,more likely, they knew how to prepare the best beef dish I ever had at Riverside. That is a long record of steaks, prime ribs and chops to compare but I don't recall better flavor or texture than this preparation. So, you'd think we would decline dessert after that perfect dinner. If you know my wife's chocolate proclivity and my sweet tooth, you'd more likely, correctly assume that we ordered dessert. I apologize for only giving a description, but the main part of dessert was a bar of ground Hazelnuts in light caramel covered with melted dark chocolate. It's in an office building, oddly perfect for a computer and robotics museum. It appears to be staffed by IT college students who are just as excited to talk tech as I am to listen to them talk tech. They geek out about the evolution of the tablet and how far computer memory and storage has come-and you can see some of the early iterations of computers here! It may not be the most interactive or hands-on museum, but it does help bring some of the textbook information to life, which is pretty cool. Even coming from a nerd.
