We finished our drinks and the bartender came over and handed me the bill. I didn't have my glasses so I couldn't actually read it right then but I put it away. He didn't ask me to sign anything and I expected that because I used a credit card. When I got home I looked at the bill and that bartender added in $8.99 tip and an extra drink for me to the bill. I'm going to do whatever I have to but if I happen to walk in and see that bartender I will leave immediately. He's a liar and a thief with no class and I don't appreciate it.

i'm a regular at rokka and have enjoyed it so much since the beginning. i've probably been here…read moreover 100 times and the staff and management have always been amazing includinh all food and drinks. this was really whittiers gem for the past 4 years and i would always bring all my family and friends to have a consistently good experience and night out. unfortunately this is the second time rokka has fired all there employees and there are zero familiar faces when i walked through the door. after the first wipe of employees the moral and consistency wasn't the same but it ended up working out great but this second time around it really just took a shit all due to the managment not being great with customers and treating the their employees like shit. i believe it's the demise of rokka ever since the new managment has entered naming jerry specifically. we had an argument about my service animals being inside the establishment which have been there atleast 20 times for brunch and dinner. i kindly showed jerry my service animal cards which i didn't have to do so but i did out of courtesy and he continued to harass me. ever since then he's always got some rude face when i walk in and has terrible customer service. you can literally tell on each employees face that they see the apprentice problem and it's him from here on out i won't be visiting rokka anymore atleast until they get jerry out of their. if you're the owner im not here to talk down on you for that but my only advise as a loyal customer is to focus on the people that manage this place and what their intentions are for the this place for the future. there's no passion, pride and very little respect. please save rokka we love this place and whittier can say the same , would hate to see you guys fail and close shop for something so easily fixable

Owner Bernard is the strangest man ever but he's alright. The Bartenders are wild and attentive, it's a complete dive bar to the MAX! Have cash play some good juke box music and get your shots on! If you're looking for a boujie fancy lounge DO NOT COME here and don't be asking for Mojitos, BLENDED drinks or old fashions because it's a DIVE BAR so don't be a pussy. They don't have great cherries or real fruit. apparently anyone looking to prospect or join a group is sent in here to start a fight as an initiation! enter at your own risk, 2 fights in the last few weeks with one of the videos in the picture section. not sure why this isn't addressed...a guard at the door just to keep an eye on things would help prevent things like this. people have posted negative reviews about this but the owners answer to this is having people post good reviews and complain anout the bad ones to get them removed. again not s complicated situation if the owner really cared. #luckylizards #luckylizardswhittier read more

The owner treats his bar tenders like shit except for the one weezing her way to the top. Lol at a dive bar.. Lol and fights all the time ! Bunch of hoodlums standing in the corner smoking dope! Back to the owner.. he's a scum and will treat you nice but once you leave he will talk his shit about you . avoid this spot nasty and unfriendly people! fights break out, no security credit card machine broke down and the atm was out of order way to stay on top of things! several other nearby bars to visit instead. also 2 different assaults at the bar in the past 3weeks owner still refuses to have security . buisn is located in the unincorporated part of whittier so it falls under the city of LA, all complaints to have the entertainment license revoked have to go to there, building located on temple st. Petition is in the works, Sheriff Dept is backing it as well read more

My girlfriends and I came here a few weeks ago for a GNO (girls night out) and took advantage of their $3 Margarita Mondays. The drinks were great and there was plenty of room for my girls and I to let loose and get rowdy! The only downside to the place in my opinion was the sticky bar. I told the bartender that it was sticky and they gladly cleaned it up but it was still quite sticky afterward. My recommendation is to not lean your elbows on the bar unless you want to be washing your arms all night long! read more

They were amazing!! Food, drinks, live bands. It was exactly what he would have wanted and everyone celebrated in his memory while donating to an exceptional family and cause. I've been to an Ugly Sweater party here, watched sports on TV here, met friends for drinks and dinner, and also watched locals belt it out in karaoke. This bar is great!
