First time here, I've heard so much about it and seen so many influencers promote this place. I'm not sure if I went on a bad day but the food and service wasn't what I expected. When walking in to the restaurant, it was very stuffy but we still sat down to eat. The chicken in the enchiladas was dry, so dry that the enchilada was tough to cut and for not being so busy the service was not very good. Had to ask for stuff multiple times. Maybe next time will be better. entertainment was nice

This was our first time trying Sol 626. Walking in, we enjoyed the theme of the restaurant and all the photo worthy areas. Our server was attentive and informative. We ordered margaritas and the Mexican IPA. The margaritas and food were delicious. Each margarita had a cute garnish. The food was plated well but tasted even better. I would recommend and return to try more of their dishes. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality.

So to start, Sol 626 is BEAUTIFUL. The place is so nice and silly to say but usually I like to sit in booths but the chairs were so comfy. My friends and I went to Sol 626 for happy hour and like I said, the aesthetic is so nice. I'm not sure if it was remolded or what, but everything was so new. I got some nachos (sadly not pictured because I ate them so quick) with no meat but they were really good. My friends got some tacos de papa and they were good, not amazing but good. Now, I'm HUGE on service. Our server was nice but...kinda lagged. He did take our orders quick but after that, he kinda disappeared. It's like we had to go look for him, literally. My friend had to ask another waitress to get our check and we had to find the waiter to give him the payment. Food was good, service was ok. I still say you gotta try it out!

This spot was soooooooo good it's always so hard to find a good Mexican spot when you are Mexican because nothing compares to moms cooking but this spot definitely hits home when you eat there. The food was amazing the ingredients tasted very fresh and authentic! Mole is one of my favorite Mexican foods so this spot definitely got it down. I recommend you visit and try anything on the menu. The ceviche was fire too. My mom really enjoyed the carne asada plate and my girlfriend enjoyed her barbacoa. The service was also so good and the owner took some of his time to talk to us and explain the love and care they put into the food which made so much sense from what I was tasting. It's also a good place to celebrate birthdays! Super chill spot!

This place is the kind of local Mexican spot that makes you question why you ever trusted chain restaurants. The food hits hard, the vibes are friendly, and the full bar pours drinks like they're trying to fix your whole week in one glass.

Had to update my review since I came back to visit recently. The food was delicious and the molcajete was flavorful and had plenty of food to share. Highly recommend! The live music was such a nice experience as well!

I really liked the atmosphere here -- it had such a nice vibe. I overheard someone say they're normally not this busy, so they were kind of scrambling trying to make everything work, which honestly makes sense since it was Valentine's Day. I originally saw this place on TikTok, and my boyfriend decided to bring me here for V-Day They had a special Valentine's menu, which was really cool. There weren't any tacos, which my bf wanted, but realistically tacos aren't very Valentine's dinner vibes, so I think it was a smart move. They also had a super cute little photo op section in the back, which was such a fun touch. Food-wise, everything was really good. The mole chips were super unique and actually really good. The queso fundido was DELICIOUS -- like, no notes. The tlayuda was really good and would definitely order it again. The margarita was yummy. The enchiladas were also really good, and I was surprised by how much I liked the red sauce which normally I'm 100% for the green saice. The food was also more Oaxacan-style than I'm used to, but it was delicious regardless. Shoutout to our waiter Kenneth -- he was amazing. Super friendly, kept light conversation with us, and made us feel comfortable, like we were just chatting with a friend. Overall, such a great Valentine's dinner experience. Would definitely come back

Good spot for brunch. Loved their mole. it was definitely their own flavor of mole, different and delicious. Cute little corner spot off of Whittier blvd, the inside is nicely decorated reminds of day of the dead vibes. We were the first ones there when they opened. Served us right away, helpful in telling us what were the best items to order and drinks that were good. they also serve coffee and cafe de olla.

Food was GREAT. We had a large group, 3 families and they accommodated us quickly. We forgot to tell Liz we wanted the bills split 3 way, NOT A PROBLEM! Liz was amazing and paying separately was easy! Great music, delicious food, and drinks. Good vibes. Thanks Liz!

Awesome experience! Thanks to Eugene the owner and staff. We came on a Friday night for happy hour 2-6pm. They had a live music which was super entertaining. Food was delicious. Great ambiance overall. We loved the Calidad beer and mango margaritas. We ordered the following and everything was yummy! Ceviche Citrus marinated fresh Basa fish tossed with tomatoes, cilantro, lime juice, red onion and avocado. Served with plantain Chips Carne Asada USDA Choice outside skirt steak served with rice, veggies, Oaxacan beans, potato taquito with coloradito mole and oaxacan cheese, grilled cambray onion, grilled jalapeno, grilled panela cheese and chimichurri Queso relleno Tortilla soup Asada tacos Calidad Mango margarita

A delicious meal here! My shrimp plate was so juicy, delicious rice. The taquitos were crunchy and so good. Loved the little bit of black beans under the taquitos. The service was so attentive and friendly. There was live music which made the meal more memorable. The parking lot is a little small but there's street parking too. Such a great meal. Loved everything.

Went here with a friend. We got lucky with the parking because there was 2 spots open. They have live band Friday night and Sunday morning. If you're trying to go then... be prepared to park on the street. Very narrow spots. The inside is absolutely beautiful!! The lights, decor, seating, 10/10. Our drinks were really good too! Only reason 4/5 was because tlayuda I'm pretty picky about since I use to date someone Oaxacan. Although it should be crispy I think it was a bit tooo crispy (hard). The beans and toppings were rlly good. They also gave you 3 salsas on the side which made up for some flavor missing. I'm looking forward to coming back tho!! My friends plate looked amazing.

This place instantly became one of my favorites after just one visit. From the moment you walk in, the whole vibe hits you--the moody, neon-lit ambiance sets the tone perfectly. It feels elevated, a little edgy, and honestly just the kind of spot you want to spend your night at. The music is curated so well. Not too loud, not too mellow--just the right balance where you can vibe, have a conversation, and still feel the energy of the room. You can tell they actually care about the experience, not just throwing a playlist together. Now let's talk about the drinks... because that's really where they shine. Every cocktail feels intentional and crafted with care. You can taste the quality immediately--nothing watered down, nothing basic. They have a really cool mix of classic cocktails and modern twists, and even the familiar drinks feel elevated. It's the kind of place where you want to try something new every round because you trust the bartenders know exactly what they're doing. Service was on point too. Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. They took the time to explain drinks and made great recommendations, which made the whole experience even better. I came in not knowing what to expect, and left already planning my next visit. Could not have been happier. From the moment we walked through the heavy wooden door (fancy!) until we left- the host, the waitress, server, manager and even the owner were amazingly attentive and welcoming. When it's your birthday they put a nice sign at your table and everyone stops by to wish you an amazing bday. They also check in to make sure you're having a good time and enjoying your delicious meal. Now for the food: fresh, al dente and tasty. All adjectives you want running through your mind after the first bitesss. We ordered stuffed mushroom- hot and nicely seasoned. Mushrooms not overcooked and stuffing not overly cheesy. The shrimp linguine another hit with fresh tomatoes and jumbo shrimp with a nice snap. The light seasoning with lots of garlic was just perfect. We also ordered the beef short ribs. My friend said it melted on her mouth and the fresh mash potatoes- just right. Did I mention the portions were huge! Lots of goodies to take with us. To add to the dining experience we watched as patrons steadily came and went throughout the evening. You can tell this is a favorite for many. There were High-5s, handshakes and lots of "Welcome back friends!" Just an overall beautifully decked out neighborhood restaurant with so much heart and soul. I heard that the restaurant has been handed down from their grandparents... I'm sure they would be very proud. Highly recommend.
