This spot was soooooooo good it's always so hard to find a good Mexican spot when you are Mexican because nothing compares to moms cooking but this spot definitely hits home when you eat there. The food was amazing the ingredients tasted very fresh and authentic! Mole is one of my favorite Mexican foods so this spot definitely got it down. I recommend you visit and try anything on the menu. The ceviche was fire too. My mom really enjoyed the carne asada plate and my girlfriend enjoyed her barbacoa. The service was also so good and the owner took some of his time to talk to us and explain the love and care they put into the food which made so much sense from what I was tasting. It's also a good place to celebrate birthdays! Super chill spot!

Had to update my review since I came back to visit recently. The food was delicious and the molcajete was flavorful and had plenty of food to share. Highly recommend! The live music was such a nice experience as well!

I really liked the atmosphere here -- it had such a nice vibe. I overheard someone say they're normally not this busy, so they were kind of scrambling trying to make everything work, which honestly makes sense since it was Valentine's Day. I originally saw this place on TikTok, and my boyfriend decided to bring me here for V-Day They had a special Valentine's menu, which was really cool. There weren't any tacos, which my bf wanted, but realistically tacos aren't very Valentine's dinner vibes, so I think it was a smart move. They also had a super cute little photo op section in the back, which was such a fun touch. Food-wise, everything was really good. The mole chips were super unique and actually really good. The queso fundido was DELICIOUS -- like, no notes. The tlayuda was really good and would definitely order it again. The margarita was yummy. The enchiladas were also really good, and I was surprised by how much I liked the red sauce which normally I'm 100% for the green saice. The food was also more Oaxacan-style than I'm used to, but it was delicious regardless. Shoutout to our waiter Kenneth -- he was amazing. Super friendly, kept light conversation with us, and made us feel comfortable, like we were just chatting with a friend. Overall, such a great Valentine's dinner experience. Would definitely come back

Good spot for brunch. Loved their mole. it was definitely their own flavor of mole, different and delicious. Cute little corner spot off of Whittier blvd, the inside is nicely decorated reminds of day of the dead vibes. We were the first ones there when they opened. Served us right away, helpful in telling us what were the best items to order and drinks that were good. they also serve coffee and cafe de olla.

Awesome experience! Thanks to Eugene the owner and staff. We came on a Friday night for happy hour 2-6pm. They had a live music which was super entertaining. Food was delicious. Great ambiance overall. We loved the Calidad beer and mango margaritas. We ordered the following and everything was yummy! Ceviche Citrus marinated fresh Basa fish tossed with tomatoes, cilantro, lime juice, red onion and avocado. Served with plantain Chips Carne Asada USDA Choice outside skirt steak served with rice, veggies, Oaxacan beans, potato taquito with coloradito mole and oaxacan cheese, grilled cambray onion, grilled jalapeno, grilled panela cheese and chimichurri Queso relleno Tortilla soup Asada tacos Calidad Mango margarita

A delicious meal here! My shrimp plate was so juicy, delicious rice. The taquitos were crunchy and so good. Loved the little bit of black beans under the taquitos. The service was so attentive and friendly. There was live music which made the meal more memorable. The parking lot is a little small but there's street parking too. Such a great meal. Loved everything.

Went here with a friend. We got lucky with the parking because there was 2 spots open. They have live band Friday night and Sunday morning. If you're trying to go then... be prepared to park on the street. Very narrow spots. The inside is absolutely beautiful!! The lights, decor, seating, 10/10. Our drinks were really good too! Only reason 4/5 was because tlayuda I'm pretty picky about since I use to date someone Oaxacan. Although it should be crispy I think it was a bit tooo crispy (hard). The beans and toppings were rlly good. They also gave you 3 salsas on the side which made up for some flavor missing. I'm looking forward to coming back tho!! My friends plate looked amazing.

This is a portrait hung up in the wall as you enter through the back.

The food tasted great, and the ambiance was fine. However, the parking is very small (only one driveway to get in and out), and the portion that you get for the high price of the food is small. $33 for a small piece of carne asada meat, plus one taquito with rice and beans? I just found out that tortillas are not included. I was offered some handmade tortillas without being told that they charged four dollars for three handmade tortillas. I think the waiter should mention that before putting the order through. Overall, the food and ambience are decent to pretty good. However, the portion size to the cost of it is not so good. If you don't mind paying extra for these portions, then by all means come down. Since I have a family of four I won't be coming back anytime soon. Plus they were out of the lamb, which is what I wanted to order.

This amazing Oaxacan Mexican restaurant delivers bold, authentic flavors straight from southern Mexico. From rich mole to handmade tortillas every dish bursts with tradition and heart. The vibrant décor and warm hospitality make it a true culinary escape to Oaxaca. Parking is a bit tough, but it's worth it. Great service, especially when the owner brings you the table chips.

Food 4.5/5 Service 5/5 Definitely stood out as the only asians in the restaurant HAHA, means it's authentic! Our waiter was so kind and lovely too! Food was good, learned mole isn't 100% my thing, fine to eat, but I'll try something different. Drinks were decent, Appetizer, 2/3 were liked. Unique items / sauces. Was live music playing. Parking is a little difficult but just park next door at the gym where the signs are.

Absolutely love this restaurant. Been here a few times now and have not once been disappointed. Fantastic service, delicious food, overall fun vibes. Their mole is so freaking yummy. Both the mole negro and the mole coloradito taste amazing. Great quality meat, unique and flavorful mole that you can tell was made with love. Also love the barbacoa and the octopus. Highly recommend for a date night, happy hour, taco/Mexican food craving. Parking lot in the back so parking hasn't been an issue. They also seem big enough h to hosts large groups or parties. 100% recommend (:

The ambience is super cute in there, probably one of the cutest I've seen in a really long time.. Caso Fundo was really good. I enjoyed the homemade tortillas. Drinks were good. They had live music .

This place instantly became one of my favorites after just one visit. From the moment you walk in, the whole vibe hits you--the moody, neon-lit ambiance sets the tone perfectly. It feels elevated, a little edgy, and honestly just the kind of spot you want to spend your night at. The music is curated so well. Not too loud, not too mellow--just the right balance where you can vibe, have a conversation, and still feel the energy of the room. You can tell they actually care about the experience, not just throwing a playlist together. Now let's talk about the drinks... because that's really where they shine. Every cocktail feels intentional and crafted with care. You can taste the quality immediately--nothing watered down, nothing basic. They have a really cool mix of classic cocktails and modern twists, and even the familiar drinks feel elevated. It's the kind of place where you want to try something new every round because you trust the bartenders know exactly what they're doing. Service was on point too. Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. They took the time to explain drinks and made great recommendations, which made the whole experience even better. Good shareable portions for the table! For dinner, we ordered the short rib pappardelle, which was DELICIOUS and was a hit!!! There was more than enough to split among three people! I had the grilled salmon salad which had a good hefty portion of salmon that was perfectly grilled, on a huge bowl of greens! I returned the plate and asked them to try again. When it finally came back, it was "medium-well" more on the "well" side unfortunately. Then to have this EXPENSIVE CUT OF MEAT NOT HAVE ANY FLAVOR!?
