I had dinner reservations in Uptown Whittier, and this was on my way. My husband and I stopped in to check it out and have a quick drink. We were regulars way back when at the Slam Dunk. It has been given a nice face lift. Don't expect Slam Dunk prices. This is a bit classier. Happy hour includes $2 off drinks Monday-friday till 7pm. The decor is very Whittier / Dodgers focused. I loved the decor. The best part of our quick visit was Sharene. She was an amazing bartender. She was super friendly and we will definitely come back to see her. We did not try the food, but maybe next time.

Great sports bar to hang out at. What was so surprising was how good the food was. We had the BBQ Brisket Sandwich and Chicken Ceasar Wrap. The queso fries were awesome. Good food. Good drinks. Lots of TVs. Pool Tables. You, it's a hidden gem!

The vibe, the burger, the people, the staff. This place is good times all the times. I always come in whenever I'm in Whittier. Home run, slam dunk

This place the potential to rated higher, however the service was extremely slow. It took 45min to get our drinks. Then another 45 to get our food. This may not always be the case, but it was for me. This place is very spacious so you never feel too cramped. Clean environment with comfortable booths, make a reservation to ensure you have a good view of the game or your favorite event. I'll come back another time to give it another chance.

Stopped by here on a Wednesday night and it was pretty busy. After having a few drinks and some food, I could see why. We sat at the bar and the service was top notch. The bartender was very attentive and nice. She recommended the gochujang wings which were delicious. The place was pretty chill and relaxing.

    Shrimp tacos!

Amazing food, great atmosphere and a whole vibe! Shrimp tacos were delicious! Thank you Luis!

Chandler is an absolute badass behind the bar at Parlor. She's hilarious, insanely knowledgeable, and somehow the sweetest human while also not taking anyone's BS. Exactly who you want making your drinks. Her green tea shots are my favorite (I know, simple but still hers are my favorite), but she also does themed night shots and cocktails that are actually creative and well thought out, not just gimmicky. You can tell she really understands flavors and balance, and it shows in everything she makes. On top of that, she runs the bar like a pro. Great energy, great service, and the vibe is always right when she's working. If Chandler's behind the bar, you're guaranteed a good night and a great drink.

    Corn ribs!

Tried the corn ribs at Parlor Bar and omg! Perfectly roasted with that crispy outside and juicy bite, then topped with just the right amount of seasoning, cheese, and a little kick from the jalapeno peppers. Every bite had so much flavor--smoky, savory, and slightly spicy in the best! Definitely a must try!

Food service was great. Emily was wonderful, (The server) had our drinks out within a few minutes and food was out within 15. I was looking for brisket & found this place has brisket. It was super tasty! Def reccomend checking out!! Atmosphere is fun, esp if you're looking for something to do and you're not sure where to go. Music is loud and vibey!

A trendy sports bar and restaurant for sports watching. They charged $20 for pay-per-view fights on a Saturday late afternoon. We went in before that so we didn't have to pay cover charge. They had good selections of tap beer and premium liquor. We enjoyed our hazy IPA and grey goose martini. The food was mostly comfort bar food, bartenders were very friendly and attentive. The door man was very surprised that we left before a big fight that people were paying and waiting to watch! I am not a big fan of fights cause it's too loud for me. I only watch tennis especially masters and slams. Still a great neighborhood sports bar that we will visit sometime!

Great vibes, delicious food, great service, good music, lots of tv's displaying the games... It's the place to be! Love my local bar. Plenty of parking, clean location.

This place instantly became one of my favorites after just one visit. From the moment you walk in, the whole vibe hits you--the moody, neon-lit ambiance sets the tone perfectly. It feels elevated, a little edgy, and honestly just the kind of spot you want to spend your night at. The music is curated so well. Not too loud, not too mellow--just the right balance where you can vibe, have a conversation, and still feel the energy of the room. You can tell they actually care about the experience, not just throwing a playlist together. Now let's talk about the drinks... because that's really where they shine. Every cocktail feels intentional and crafted with care. You can taste the quality immediately--nothing watered down, nothing basic. They have a really cool mix of classic cocktails and modern twists, and even the familiar drinks feel elevated. It's the kind of place where you want to try something new every round because you trust the bartenders know exactly what they're doing. Service was on point too. Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. They took the time to explain drinks and made great recommendations, which made the whole experience even better. I came in not knowing what to expect, and left already planning my next visit. If you're in Uptown Whittier and looking for a spot with great energy, amazing cocktails, and a full vibe--The Vandalist is it. Thank me later

I got excited as we walked in because of how cool the vibe was inside the restaurant! Modern and clean aesthetic ... such a surprise! I had already looked at the menu the night before, so I made some suggestions for our party of four adults and kiddo. Our server brought fresh sourdough rolls with seasoned butter. Solid start. We then ordered the stuffed 'shrooms and proscuitto-arugula pizza as starters. Both were very excellent, and was tell-tale of what we were about to experience with our entrees. Entrees ordered were the rigatoni with vodka sauce, the pappardelle with shortrib (two servings but really enough food for at least four ppl!) and the chicken Parmesan salad. Everything was impressive, especially the pappardelle dish. With the beurre blanc and creamy Alfredo sauce with two huge pieces of short rib that were fork tender, it was the star of the evening. This dish is made table-side to ensure that it's eaten immediately. The portions were enough for four ppl, and the sauce is just absolutely decadent. Service was attentive and prompt. Our server was lovely! She shared her favorites with us, and we followed suit by ordering her favorite desserts too! The bread pudding was amazing, but the carrot cake, being a new recipe, was just a bit too sweet for our palates. Plenty of parking as it is onsite. Loved that!

The desert and cocktails were nice but due to the service it did not make up for the overall experience. Desert: Tiramisu 4/5 - great flavor, ratio of cream was too much compared to cake portion Canolli 4/5 - duo flavors were nice and had a good shell with crunch Crème brûlée 2/5 - pistachio flavor was light and it's was almost too warm and liquidy. Cocktails overall some major hits and other misses. Sgroppino 5/5 - strong but with a great flavor profile Dragon fruit cocktail 2/5 - too light tasting, not much flavor or alcohol? Gave more juice Peach Bellini 4.5/5 - table side pour is nice touch and rest of bottle was nice. Syrup has a sourness but mixed in with Bellini and gelato and tasted just right. Melontini - 2.5/5 light, somewhat good flavor but nothing memorable. Ambience seems nice but it can be loud inside with open floor plan.
