Milos!!!! The perfect neighborhood watering hole for all who want to hang, chat, have a few drinks in a friendly and mellow environment. I'm seeing reviews about the workers being rude, strict, etc..... I've only heard of or seen very rowdy, unruly patrons get booted. It's not a rowdy place... so don't go in acting a fool. Be friendly and respectful- don't scream or bang on the bar (as I've seen people do). I love coming here. The crowd is diverse- young, old, middle, blue collar, white collar... and the jukebox is just as diverse!!!!! It's the ideal chill, neighborhood spot... The regulars would agree!

Best place in my neighbourhood bar prices are reasonable friendly people good company always.

If you are looking to just relax and have a drink, then this dive bar is a great place to go. They have a fully stocked bar, give or take a few bottles. They do not have beers on tap just bottles. There are no pool tables, but they do have a few dart boards. They have a jukeboxe, they have a little bar game at one end, the one with a bunch of random games on it, and they also have keno you can play. They also have 2 tvs set up at each ends of the bar and a big screen in the open seating area. The bartenders are really cool and laid back, lonnie is the man there, comes up with some cool stuff too, I recommend you try his cheesecake shot, super good. There are alot of regulars at this bar and the age range varies from young to the older crowd and eveything in between. It is not a big place, but it is big enough. I like coming here because it has kind of a homey feel, and no one really gets too crazy. The prices are super fair and competitive or even better than alot of other places. A tip I would give is, this place is just great to go out and have a few drinks and listen to random music from the jukebox. If you are looking for more, then this place my not be for you, but I would recommend it :).

From the moment you walk in, the whole vibe hits you--the moody, neon-lit ambiance sets the tone perfectly. It feels elevated, a little edgy, and honestly just the kind of spot you want to spend your night at. The music is curated so well. Not too loud, not too mellow--just the right balance where you can vibe, have a conversation, and still feel the energy of the room. You can tell they actually care about the experience, not just throwing a playlist together. Now let's talk about the drinks... because that's really where they shine. Every cocktail feels intentional and crafted with care. You can taste the quality immediately--nothing watered down, nothing basic. They have a really cool mix of classic cocktails and modern twists, and even the familiar drinks feel elevated. It's the kind of place where you want to try something new every round because you trust the bartenders know exactly what they're doing. Service was on point too. Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. They took the time to explain drinks and made great recommendations, which made the whole experience even better. I came in not knowing what to expect, and left already planning my next visit. If you're in Uptown Whittier and looking for a spot with great energy, amazing cocktails, and a full vibe--The Vandalist is it. Thank me later

There were several retirement parties at Sportsman's Lounge. It was my birthday so I thought it would be a comfortable place to go for a couple drinks and maybe play pool. I have a walker so when we came in we went to a table and waited and waited and waited for the bartender to come take our order. I told my son this guy obviously doesn't want a tip. I finally put my hands up like what the heck? The bartender put his hands up the same. He said we had to come to the bar to get drinks. So we went to the bar to get drinks and my son needed salt and lime for his shots so the bartender said I'll come to your table. I gave him my credit card and he said he'd keep it at the bar. I told him I probably couldn't outrun him. But he said there's cameras everywhere. I didn't realize it but he pointed them out. My son went to the bar and got our 2nd drinks and came back. We finished our drinks and the bartender came over and handed me the bill. I didn't have my glasses so I couldn't actually read it right then but I put it away. He didn't ask me to sign anything and I expected that because I used a credit card. When I got home I looked at the bill and that bartender added in $8.99 tip and an extra drink for me to the bill. I'm going to do whatever I have to but if I happen to walk in and see that bartender I will leave immediately. He's a liar and a thief with no class and I don't appreciate it.

Best place to chill and relax. No drama. Amazing bar service and food. People are nice and friendly.read more

The short rib added a hearty flavor, the tortillas soft yet crispy and well balanced, the red sauce was just enough kick and comes with an egg, guacamole, and beans. You'll definitely have leftovers! I came to watch the Mexico vs. Ecuador World Cup match, and it was complete chaos. Nobody seemed to know where the remote was by 6pm The TVs weren't on the right channels, Telemundo and Peacock were nowhere to be found, and the main TV directly above the bar might as well have been a decorative painting. Then came the food... I ordered buffalo wings at 6:05 PM. At 6:45 PM, I asked the bartender where they were. The response? "There's a lot of tickets back there." I'm sorry... they're buffalo wings, not a five-course tasting menu or a risotto that needs constant stirring. It should not take nearly an hour to fry some wings. When they finally arrived almost an hour later which I told the bartender cancel the order I had completely lost my appetite and left If you're looking for a place to watch sports, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. Between the missing remote, and the painfully slow kitchen, this was one of the most frustrating sports bar experiences I've had. World Cup Game day, the service and sports atmosphere completely missed the goal.

Their moles are definitely worth trying. We've had the mole negro and the mole pipián, and both were delicious. The mole negro is a little sweeter, while the pipián has more spice. They also serve tortilla chips with mole, which is something I haven't seen at most Mexican restaurants. The reason I can't give 5 stars is because the service has been hit or miss. We've been here three times. The first time was shortly after they opened. The food tasted decent but came out cold, and the service wasn't the best. It was during the week and not very busy, so we figured they were still working out the kinks of being a new restaurant. After some time, we decided to give them another try. We went on a busy Friday night and were seated right away. The service was much better and everything seemed to be running more smoothly. We talked with the owner who was working as well as his wife who was bartending. They were both really friendly, and the owner seemed genuinely happy that we came back after we told him about our first experience. He even gave my husband a free beer after we moved to the bar to keep drinking after we finished our meals to allow for other guests to dine at the table we were. There was also a trio playing that night which added to the ambiance and was a nice way to end the work week. Our most recent visit was a couple of weeks ago for my husband's birthday. It was during the week and once again they were short-staffed. There was only one waitress taking care of the entire restaurant. She was so sweet and hustling the whole time but she was also bartending while serving every table. We definitely had to pack our patience because she was doing the best she could. Overall, Sol 626 has so much potential to be a great spot. The food, drinks, and atmosphere are what keep bringing us back. They need a little more staffing so the service can be as good as everything else.
