What's up: Catching up with some friends at Rodeo 72. The first stop before figuring out what food to choose from around here is to obviously grab a drink first lol! Parking: This place is located inside Rodeo 72, and parking is shared among the nearby businesses; it can fill up quickly. As I mentioned in my other review, someone of us ended up parking in the Whittier Marketplace nearby. There are also a few EV chargers at the Rodeo 72 parking lot. Environment: Located inside Rodeo 72, Capo Public House is an open bar area in the area that's right next to the outdoor seating area. They had lots of bar seating with several menus scattered on the countertop. Place your order with one of the staff members whenever you're ready. You can grab a nearby table to watch TV or sit outside and listen to the live music. What was ordered: - CDMX (comes with a cool ice cube) Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. Drinks were pretty good; they were on the pricier side. The place was definitely lively. Credit cards are accepted.

Don't come on Monday. It's very Rogue compared to the weekend.i came back because someone from Capo was concern about me of my experience on a Monday we were asked to leave because they were closing before Dodger game. Ended up going to Turnbull. Which ended up being good. You should look at my Turnbull tavern review. And the pictures. I digress. If you look at my pics today. These 2 guys stood in the front of us and a couple others since that's the only place we could sit due to the chairs being locked up. I had to go tell the guys to go sit down. Because the bartender didn't have the balls to do it. Even after I said something. The bartender just looked and then walked away. They stood there for almost an hour.with only 35 people maybe. They finally got the message when people started coming up for drinks. Behind them. But the bartender needs to know that the center area is for buying drinks. Not standing and talking. We understand when people line up for drinks. But just stand there like statues talking like idiots or AA holes. We knew we would have to leave early but thought we would st least enjoy watching the game.

I frequent Rodeo 72 and enjoy coming to Capo House! The drinks are not only delicious but well crafted, the Mixologist definitely knows what they're doing. Easy drink was well balanced, refreshing, and made with fresh ingredients. The vibe is lively, with a huge TV monitor and live music of DJ on certain days!

Douglas, one of the best drink makers over the weekend! And man such great service from him. Saturday night, busy and my first time there, the whole place is awesome and the drinks here? Chefs kiss. Some real cocktail making going on. The vibe was awesome, id definitely come back.

This place is an absolute gem to Whittier bar scene. The recommendations the bartenders gave me were excellent. They know their drinks. My wife loved their raspberry lemon drop the purée they use for it was a good one and very delicious She said. Very friendly bartenders we went on a Sunday during football and the service was excellent. We didn't wait and they're very attentive to us.

Capo is an amazing spot. The bar has a great bourbon selection and make a quality Old fashioned with consistent service. The neighboring food selection hits any craving and the live music is always great. the perfect fit for datenight or family time.

Drinks were really good just the timeliness of the service from bartenders was a little slow. Had my finished glass/appetizer sitting for a bit while there were about 3 bartenders behind the bar and no one picked it up and asked if I wanted another drink until a new bartender came. This was a late Wednesday afternoon, they were not busy during this time. I got better service from the bar back Allen who was super nice and quick!

This place instantly became one of my favorites after just one visit. From the moment you walk in, the whole vibe hits you--the moody, neon-lit ambiance sets the tone perfectly. It feels elevated, a little edgy, and honestly just the kind of spot you want to spend your night at. The music is curated so well. Not too loud, not too mellow--just the right balance where you can vibe, have a conversation, and still feel the energy of the room. You can tell they actually care about the experience, not just throwing a playlist together. Now let's talk about the drinks... because that's really where they shine. Every cocktail feels intentional and crafted with care. You can taste the quality immediately--nothing watered down, nothing basic. They have a really cool mix of classic cocktails and modern twists, and even the familiar drinks feel elevated. It's the kind of place where you want to try something new every round because you trust the bartenders know exactly what they're doing. Service was on point too. Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. They took the time to explain drinks and made great recommendations, which made the whole experience even better. I came in not knowing what to expect, and left already planning my next visit. If you're in Uptown Whittier and looking for a spot with great energy, amazing cocktails, and a full vibe--The Vandalist is it. Thank me later

I've had this place bookmarked for a while now, and we finally had a chance to try it! We were…read moredoing a bon voyage dinner for my nephew as he ventures off to his master's program out of state, and we were able to make last minute reservations. I got excited as we walked in because of how cool the vibe was inside the restaurant! Modern and clean aesthetic ... such a surprise! I had already looked at the menu the night before, so I made some suggestions for our party of four adults and kiddo. Our server brought fresh sourdough rolls with seasoned butter. Solid start. We then ordered the stuffed 'shrooms and proscuitto-arugula pizza as starters. Both were very excellent, and was tell-tale of what we were about to experience with our entrees. Entrees ordered were the rigatoni with vodka sauce, the pappardelle with shortrib (two servings but really enough food for at least four ppl!) and the chicken Parmesan salad. Everything was impressive, especially the pappardelle dish. With the beurre blanc and creamy Alfredo sauce with two huge pieces of short rib that were fork tender, it was the star of the evening. This dish is made table-side to ensure that it's eaten immediately. The portions were enough for four ppl, and the sauce is just absolutely decadent. Service was attentive and prompt. Our server was lovely! She shared her favorites with us, and we followed suit by ordering her favorite desserts too! The bread pudding was amazing, but the carrot cake, being a new recipe, was just a bit too sweet for our palates. Plenty of parking as it is onsite. Loved that!

We didn't get her name but she had glasses and septum nose piercing. She was more accommodating at then end but we were very off put at the beginning and it left a bad taste in our mouths. Our server at our table was the complete opposite. Very attentive and made the group less angry with our initial treatment. Wish I got her name to share. The desert and cocktails were nice but due to the service it did not make up for the overall experience. Desert: Tiramisu 4/5 - great flavor, ratio of cream was too much compared to cake portion Canolli 4/5 - duo flavors were nice and had a good shell with crunch Crème brûlée 2/5 - pistachio flavor was light and it's was almost too warm and liquidy. Cocktails overall some major hits and other misses. Sgroppino 5/5 - strong but with a great flavor profile Dragon fruit cocktail 2/5 - too light tasting, not much flavor or alcohol? Gave more juice Peach Bellini 4.5/5 - table side pour is nice touch and rest of bottle was nice. Syrup has a sourness but mixed in with Bellini and gelato and tasted just right. Melontini - 2.5/5 light, somewhat good flavor but nothing memorable. Ambience seems nice but it can be loud inside with open floor plan.

This had to be a special occasion to make the drive. Aaaand yes! It was still worth the drive. Still looked the way i remembered. Service was great as well. Christine was our waitress. She was attentive and sweet. Despite that my lobster tail took a while to come out ( and if it wasn't for Christine being so helpful and nice I'm sure this would be a totally different review) Everything was so delicious. Started off with the spicy edamame which I could literally drink the sauce they make them in. We also had the crab hand rolls. Those were so warm and tasty! Followed by the yummy rolls. Queen roll with the strawberry on top was my fav! Azabu crunchy roll had a perfect crunch and gives you a mouthful of deliciousness (2nd fav) Then the rock n roll rocked our world! That was a party in my mouth with all the flavors. (3rd fav) We got the keto roll and the only reason it was my least favorite is because we felt the cucumber overpowered the sushi and mango. Both me and my husband ate just what was in the inside of the cucumber it was way better. We didn't eat the cucumber. When the lobster finally came luckily it was worth the wait!!! I highly recommend the lobster tail! Full of flavor! The butter my flavoring was mouth watering. Truly enjoyed every bite! Last but not least our dessert. I ordered the chocolate cake roll! Wow!!! It truly hit the spot. Christine also brought a berry ice cream for the long wait of my lobster tail. It was so good! I thought I was full but it was so good I kept on eating it. We then shared the Seafood Ceviche, which featured fresh fish, mango salsa, avocado, micro cilantro, leche de tigre, and macha sauce. It was definitely on the spicy side, so if you're sensitive to heat, I would recommend asking for the macha sauce to be removed or served on the side. The flavors were fresh, vibrant, and well balanced, with the avocado adding a nice creamy contrast to the spice. The presentation of the ceviche was especially well done and made the dish even more enjoyable. I paired my meal with a glass of Strev Moscato, while my husband enjoyed a 22 oz bottle of Asahi. The atmosphere was welcoming and made for a nice anniversary dinner. The presentation of the dishes was beautiful, and the overall vibe was perfect for a date night. After our visit, we noticed what appeared to be a billing error on our check. We called the restaurant, and the manager was very helpful and quickly resolved the issue by issuing a refund. Mistakes can happen anywhere, but I truly appreciated how professionally and promptly they handled the situation. Overall, we enjoyed our meal, appreciated the excellent customer service, and would happily return.
