We've lived at the beach for something like 15 years & this is our 1st time eating at Lucky Loggers restaurant, go figure!! This is like diner food on steroids. Their menu is extensive & from what I've heard or seen that the food is down home delicious!! I'm hooked that they cook their own turkey. So for me it's Thanksgiving in January. My better half opted for pancakes, bacon & hash browns. Our waitress was spot on & very nice. The owners Cara & Mo are truly nice people. We will come back. My next meal will be a club sandwich. Eaten here twice and both times the food was just ok. Nothing special and bit greasy. 1 side we had was awful and we couldn't eat it. Service was not great forst time, second time was better. Casual diner style restaurant that appears to stay busy. If looking for basic breakfast fare then this is the place. read more

This place is an extremely affordable breakfast option. Don't walk into Lucky Loggers expecting a five star restaurant, because it's not; however, the service is always great, food comes out quick, and it tastes pretty good. I personally do not like the home fries (but that might just be a me thing), but everything else is great! I personally love the old woodsy vibe at the restaurant and it's a great location to catch up with old friends! Try this little place out! read more

Excellent service and unbeatable prices, but there's room for improvement when it comes to the quality of the food. I was looking for a quick, cheap diner breakfast and stumbled upon Lucky Loggers. Located at the Saco Shopping Plaza, this no-frills restaurant has an extensive menu and prices that you're not likely to find elsewhere around this area. I ordered the Lumberjack Breakfast for $12 -- it came with three eggs, plenty of toast, hash-browns, bacon, two sausages, and a small juice and coffee. Seriously, you just can't beat that. Unfortunately, the hash browns tasted quite old. I had to add a lot of ketchup, salt, and pepper to make them edible. I ordered my eggs sunny side up, and two arrived already popped. The bacon was also overcooked. The service was great -- the waitress was attentive and friendly. For $12, I guess you can't ask for more. If you're looking for a quick, cheap meal without caring much about quality, then this is a good place to stop at. read more

First time at this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. My husband and I were there today and were greeted at the door and seated immediately, offered coffee, it came quickly and courteously. The breakfast was delicious and the service was excellent. This is a diner style eatery and we couldn't have been more pleased to have found this little gem. One last thing, the place was extremely clean and welcoming. We'll be going back, for sure. read more

Not a bad restaurant for a quick bite to eat. Not the highest quality food, but the cheap prices make up for that.

Service was fine, but I went for breakfast and got a veggie omelette and I asked to add cheese to it. There was unmelted shredded cheese all over the top of the omelette. Also the onions in the omelette were raw. Has brown potatoes were good. read more

I've heard there was a change in ownership recently, but as a long time Lucky Loggers lover, I'd never really know, as they've kept all the best things about this place intact. The menu still offers all the yummiest breakfast staples, they still offer hard alcohol, beer, and champagne (mimosas!), and it is super affordable. Not to mention QUICK. Thinking of Cole Farms in Gray, Maine as I write this. Friendly staff, expedient service, and stellar comfort food for a pittance. The kitschy atmosphere brings me back to eating in mom and pop's establishments as a youth in Maine during the early 90's. Their Lumberjack breakfast is a wonderful value, and the sausage is delectable. Biddeford should continue supporting this family institution to ensure its heritage survives in this era of chain restaurant hell. read more

Comfort food served fast in a small town diner atmosphere. Great for breakfast or lunch. Good sized portions and your cup of coffee is always full. You can also order a beer or a cocktail with your dinner as well. If you're looking for no frills but good food then this is the place. read more

Food was OK and the service was merely acceptable. The tragedy is the up charges. $5.00 to get onion rings instead of chips and $4.00 up charge for French fries instead of chips. It made my lunch with my wife for burgers a drink and I had fries and she had rings $40.00. To me that is not inflation it is usury and a rip off. Sure prices are up and costs are higher but let get reasonable!! read more

Mostly this is a review of the staff and ambiance with a side of food. Generally, with the current COVID situation we haven't been going "out" to many (really if any) restaurants in quite awhile. The holidays didn't even feel the same, perhaps not as merry who knows. I didn't quite realize this however, until we stopped in to lucky loggers landing. We came in just around Christmas time and the place was done up with decorations, holiday music, and just had a warm friendly environment. It felt very homey, the staff were super friendly (including the lovely woman i chatted with on the phone prior to our visit who confirmed without prompting that not only did they have gluten free items but then proceeded to list off french toast, omelets, etc as options), and this *points at self* previous holiday grinch was re-reminded of the joys of the holiday season. In terms of the food, it is relatively standard diner fare. I had the gluten free french toast with strawberries and whip cream. The bread was just standard but the strawberries made the dish. My other half had an omelet with home fries/ potatoes (likely I'll have something similar next time) and it looked and i'm told tasted great. We will be back and were very happy and grateful to the staff for their warm welcome this holiday season. Cheers! read more

Wish I could give one more star but 3 issues prevent me...First, even before restaurants got clobbered by covid, the prices here were a tad higher than they needed to be for these kind of basic mom & pop, varied-menu restaurants (the kind of restaurants I love). Second you could break a tooth on the overcooked bacon. And third you're better off ordering chips instead of fries to go with your sandwich because ever time I've gotten fries they are never really cooked, they're almost white. (I supposed you could mash 'em with your fork & ask for butter.) Overall the food is okay to good. It's the only place left that I know of in southern Maine to be able to get liver & onions (a rare & dying breed of customer) and they do that dish well. read more

I like Lucky Loggers. The food was all good, everything was cooked the way we wanted and the portions were decent. Our server (the check said he was "Ty 7") did a really good job and was always there to check on us and refill our coffee. The restaurant is clean and looks like it was remodeled in the last few years. Where it came up just a little short: I didn't like the coffee at all, but that's surprisingly common for breakfast places in Biddeford/Saco. And the corned beef hash is better at the Palace Diner. That's it, so they're doing really well. I like the fact that there are hash browns as an alternative to home fries, and there's a large assortment of items on the menu. Everything came out of the kitchen quickly and I think we could have sat there talking for two or three hours without anybody minding. In other words, the staff would rush around taking care of us but we never felt rushed by them. That's really nice, especially on a weekend morning. Finally, there are usually coupons for Lucky Loggers in the local weekly free papers, so in addition to the really good food and service, you can get a great deal. The older crowd is well represented at Lucky Loggers, and this is a good sign that prices are right and everything is consistently good. read more

This is exactly the sort of comfy, unpretentious diner that I crave going to. The menu was extensive (only beef was that they didn't offer biscuits n' gravy) and the prices were amazingly cheap. I got the Hamburger Club with fries and coleslaw for under $10 and it was one of the pricier items on the menu. Service was excellent and fast and friendly. There was even a stuffed beaver near the restrooms. C'mon, you know it's gonna be good when that's a factor. Awesome spot. This is mostly a comment to easily improve. A sign tells customers to "turn off their cell phones" vs "silence your cell phones please". Breakfast: asked for eggs over easy, which means the yoke, not uncooked. The eggs whites were so runny it was a watery raw mess. Potatoes hard and undercooked. Just potatoes, no seasoning, peppers, onions, zero flavor. Toast saturated and dripping w butter. Could not dip toast in eggs because so under cooked and gelatinous. Coffee in cups so small demand constant refills. Open kitchen where cooks, dishwasher and servers screaming back and forth any random thought that happens to pop up. Customers don't pay to hear the staff entertain them. I used to bring my children to LLL when they were young and remember the food being much better. Stay far away from this restaurant. Ordered broiled haddock with mashed potatoes and butternut squash. The menu says "real" mashed potatoes. The haddock was so dried out and unseasoned. The mashed potatoes certainly were not real. Never tasted potatoes like it. Butternut squash not too bad, but not good. This meal was inedible. The waitresses are cold and rude. read more

Lucky loggers serves up new england comfort food. It is a hit with the over 50 crowd and because of this for many years I never went there. It is really too bad because I was missing out on one of the best breakfast places around. Lucky loggers has a a giant stuffed beaver and lots of local decor. The bacon, egg and cheese was delicious. They have great ice coffee and the home fries have a nice spice to them. Breakfast is by far the best meal they serve so try it out. read more

Went here based on a recommendation from a friend. I looked at reviews as I always do, saw the 3 star and was expecting bad things. When we showed up, (Myself, my girlfriend and a buddy), we were greeted by a very friendly lady. She took us to our seats and our waitress was with us fairly quickly. The waitress was around enough to make sure our food was okay, and she refilled our coffees the moment they were empty. Really nice lady. Lucky Loggers always satisfies our breakfast cravings. Their pancakes are light and delicious - get the silver dollar pancakes! Their breakfast meats are appropriately salty. There's a fantastic mural of lumberjacks. It's so great. There's also a giant stuffed beaver (maybe that's the normal size of beavers. I don't know. I've never seen one in real life.) by the bathrooms. The waitresses are all very nice (and very Maine, if you are from out of town). My ONLY complaint is that last time I ordered the blintzes, and they weren't what I really consider blintzes. Maybe it's how other people like theirs, but it was kind of like the dough was a thick crepe. It wasn't bad, just not what I expected. read more

This was the first time I experienced Lucky Loggers. I was part of a party of seven. The food was delicious, everyone in my party spoke about how great each one of their meals were. Food A+ The drawback that needs vast imporovment is the wait staff, well one in particular. She seemed bothered by us even being there and having to wait on us. One party member ordered a chocolate milk. He tasted it and said something was off, two other members tasted it and confirmed it was spoiled. When we quietly mentioned this to the waitress, she was annoyed and said its just a different kind, its made with 2% and that must be it. It was in deed spoiled. A water was ordered in its place. Additional add on items arrived a few minutes after the first food arrived, but a new waitress walked around asking which table had ordered the food. The check arrived, and was completely wrong. It was determined it was for the table next to us. Just a very disorganized and confusing morning. read more
