I asked the receptionist if she would recommend the restaurant or the buffet? She said "the restaurant has much better food but it is pricey." We decided on the restaurant, it didn't open until 5pm so we waited 5 mins and it open and we're seated. First off the whole multi grain bread they offer as pre meal was nothing short of great and very tasty. As I am cutting for my upcoming fight I ordered the ceaser salad add grilled chicken. (The grilled chicken added an additional 8$ to the price of my originally 6$ salad.) and the girlfriend ordered the chicken Alfredo. My ceaser salad was great. (Can't think of much to say about a review for a salad.) but the dressing was great and grilled chicken was cooked to perfection. The real buzz was the chicken Alfredo, hands down could have been one of the best Alfredo's I have eaten. The sauce was extremely creamy as well as tasty. The chicken was perfect and just the right amount of added mix veggies that you could tell were cooked fresh. The only reason my score is 4 stars is because the prices were a bit steep. I was pre warned as about that, I just feel at a casino where much $ is spent gambling they should make more reasonable pricing. But to rate the food hands down 5 stars.

Over the years the food quality and cleanliness left a lot to be desired. We were thrilled to find out new ownership had taken over a place that was near and dear to our hearts. I flew in from Texas this afternoon and this was the first place I wanted to eat. The Facebook pictures weren't wrong.... the food looks delicious and was even better than it looked. The restaurant was cleaner than we have seen in a decade!! This is 4th of July weekend and the place is packed! We waited 45 minutes for a table of 9 to eat inside. They made us feel welcomed without rushing us. The servers are all new, smiling and know the menu well! The new manager came in and greeted friends old and new. The manager working the line was all smiles which is rare. Amanda the bartender made a mean cocktail. The Alfredo sauce is nothing to bat an eye at.... homemade and the real deal! Walleye is fresh from lower Red Lake and gone is the nasty old pecan crusted greasy fish. The tarter sauce is homemade and could've been eaten with bread! Skip the expensive fish at Boulders and save your money with this. I did the walleye sandwich sans bun. The cheese curds were so good we ordered 2 more baskets! We will make sure we come a few more times before we leave town.

Ok, so this is sort of a wild story, but this place definitely to check out…read more If you don't want to read the whole story here is a quick break down: Food: 4.5/5 (get the fries and Pork Porterhouse) Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Now for the story. We came here for my friend's 30th birthday. It was a large group of us. The hostess didn't assume we were coming given that some of my friends had been calling the restaurant asking about pizza. I think from that point on they knew what they were in for. We all settled in and got ready to order drinks. Before we could our wonderful waitress (whose name escapes me now) told us about their large walk in wine selection. I would say about half the table quickly walked into this amazing wine storage unit. It was floor to ceiling of just amazing wine. They were gracious enough to let us try some of the wine. Drinks and wine ordered we all looked over the food choices. I decided on the red snapper because that is one of my favorite seafood dishes, and I really don't like seafood so that is saying a lot. We also ordered some french fries. Do yourself a favor and order the french fries. They were the closest to perfection a french fry has ever come for me. After our appetizer the main course came. This is where the meal could have gone off course. The snapper came out and it was TERRIBLE. Like some of the worst fish I have ever had. I asked my husband to try it because maybe I was crazy and snapper just wasn't what I remembered it being. He took one bite and almost spit it out. Now you are probably wondering why I gave this place 5 stars if the food was bad. Well the waitstaff came to the rescue. My husband quickly flagged down our waitress and told her about how bad the dish was. She apologized and everything was very civil. To make up for it we ordered the Pork Porterhouse, an absolute MUST. The Pork Porterhouse was like piggy nirvana. I've never had something quite like that before, so I don't have the words to describe it. It was pure bliss. Almost everyone else at the table had also ordered it and you could hear the almost orgasmic moans as they ate. As the night went out and the cocktails/wine/beer kept flowing our group devolved into a rowdy fun mess. Throughout it all the hostess and our waitress kept a big smile on their faces and laughed along with us. My friend even got to show them his dollar trick (which involves throwing a dollar into the ceiling) and they laughed at it (instead of being mad like I thought they would). This is a place that recognizes how to have fun, how to serve people, and knows when they made a mistake. Happily looking forward to my next trip. 49/50

The foie gras was so flavorless, thin with some sort of bread underneath to make it look bigger??? caesar salad greens had a gritty element aka sand which we were not credited. Our other salad came super wilted and way too sweet. Loved the filet which came out beautifully. overall our service felt really rushed even though a third of the tables were open. not going back. Overall Grandview Lodge needs to pay more attention to food quality.
