Great nail salon! Manicure was so relaxing and turned out great! Lovely massage chairs. Also the mani turned out flawless!

I had my nails done by Kay. She did a fantastic job, I've gotten lots of compliments on my nails. She took her time to make sure the lengths matched and that I was happy with the shape and she did a great job matching the photo I showed for the art I wanted. This place is a joke. The drying station doesn't work. I can blow stronger than it. The pedicure chairs are broken. My Aunt had a trainee do her nails and could not put nail polish on correctly and had to have someone else do the job. Then to go in to the bathroom and there is no toilet paper. I came in December 23rd I made an appointment. For my first time with them I wasn't very impressed. There was literally no communication. All that was asked was pick a color and what shape. After that I tried to make small talk and there was none . He was on the phone the whole time with his gf/wife. He spoke good English for him not to talk . It felt like I wasn't wanted there. He literally took 33 minutes on my nails. He didn't trim them or prep the nail. It felt like he was rushing and the next day the sparkle nail chipped off after he said "no top coat needed it will look chunky" so I said okay I'll trust you next day it came off so I had one hand with a sparkle finger the other without. I had my sister fix it with her gel nail polish . Overall wouldn't come back here. To top it off paid 60 dollars plus a 15 dollar tip for the nails to look like crap the next day.. and for only a 30 min service.... read more

I have been coming to this nail salon for quite some time. I've had my nails and pedicure done by 4-5 different people. I found that Ryan (mgr. and Nick to be the best for me. Nick has been my nail tech most of the time and I am usually satisfied with his work. I called and made an appt. with him yesterday. I was told that he had a 10:00 am appt. I arrived at 11:30 am. I assume the person he was working on was his 10:00. He asked if I mined if someone else did my pedicure. I didn't mine because I felt I would get done and out of here sooner. The tech hesitated and said a few words to Nick before directing me to the pedicure location. The water was hot he cooled it down. He geared up with his gloves and mask. He proceeded by filing my old shellac off. You know the procedure one foot up and one foot down in rotation. He motioned for my right foot as I raised it some water must have flown up and hit his forehead or clothing. He threw his arm across his body, clinched his face, and snarled at me stating, "Be careful!" as if I had thrown a bucket of acid on him. I don't know if he did, but I showered before I came. I stated it wasn't intentional and wished he would finish so I could leave. He did clip my toes, grate my feet, and address my cuticles. He put nothing in the water not even soap. He put lotion on unwashed legs. He slapped water a couple of time and put a tad bit of soap on my toenails at the end. After he realized I wasn't happy with his behavior he tried to make jokes and kept saying OK. He realized this wasn't ok. He showed me how he felt about me as a human being. This was a display of pure ignorance. I don't care what your parents taught you. You should have been taught whose blood was shed so that you can infiltrate our neighborhoods? read more

Absolutely no. Do not recommend. Visited Lucky Nails for a simple fill but I left with two bleeding nails and an unfinished job. (my fingernails were throbbing. I couldn't take the pain anymore and went to a trusted salon to try to fix the damage.) The pain from this experience is unmatched. I have never been in pain while getting a set, let alone a quick filling. The tech buffed so deep into my real nail that I now have deep dents in multiple nails that can't be fixed until they grow out. AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

This place is gteat! The 2 women & Tony are awesome! I went there your bad experience with other nail salon in which Lucky Nails had to fix. Two ladies worked at my nails and lady did did an awesome job was around closing times they stayed open then Tony took over and he said it's them up I have to say they did good good good work. The place is absolutely cleaning it looks nice Regal I love it everyone's nice in there so my advice would be to everybody to go to this place everyone's going to ask for Tony Tony is a man. I have some pictures of my nails I'm going to put up I give these people over five stars I I'm glad I found them. I can't say enough good things about them . Fresh Paint Job. I swear I am HUGE on customer service. Ryan At Lucky Nail on S. Gratiot and 16 is the best. He kept it so real with me during the whole time I was getting my nails done. He made me feel welcomed and at home. The shop was very clean, organized, and sanitized. I had to leave my home nail salon because of Location, but you guys have a customer for life!!! read more

I went in for a full acrylic set...nothing fancy, just a basic full set. On the plus side, there was no wait. That was the only positive. My nails were uneven. There was acrylic all over the place, including down my finger past the second knuckle. It was on my skin in multiple areas but she told me it would "wash off later" even though it was hard at that point. It is very thin in one spot where the tip was glued on and I'm afraid it will split and crack off very soon. At one point, the end of her hair got wrapped in the drill bit. She just unwrapped it and threw it on the floor. She kept trying to clean the hardened chunks out of the brush on the towel but you could tell it needed a good cleaning. This was by far the worst manicure I've ever had and not worth the $40 I paid for it. Save your time and money and go elsewhere. read more

I've been coming here for about 4/5 years now and I usually never have any problems, my nails are usually exactly the way I want them but since the new people have been there I have not been happy. The review where the nails look super pretty and are actually very detailed must be an upload from someone who works there because this is not what I get when I'm there. They are so bad that I even showed the lash a picture of a basic french tip that I wanted and she only did the pink without adding the white tip.... I was so upset that I paid and left, then realized I wanted to just take my nails off so I came back for the white, of course I had to pay extra( even though I told and showed exactly what I wanted but i guess she was upset she had to do my white tip so she rushed to do it, then didn't put any clear over so the white tip is coming off and I've just wasted my money which is not good. Its already tough out here all I want is to be able to keep my appearance up and now I have to find a new salon. Very very upset. read more

One of the worst pedicures I've ever had and it took over an hour. I don't mind being in a salon for a while if the work is worth it, but this was not. The woman was very kind but didn't seem to know what she was doing. She used cuticle cutters to trim my nails instead of the clippers that were right next to her. She didn't remove any cuticles from my nails either. It took 25 minutes just for her to paint on one solid color of polish. The pedicure was only $25 so I can't complain too much but I could've done this quality of work at home, and would've had I known. read more

This nail salon is more than efficient. I loved being there, and the experience was worth way more money then I paid. Not only do they do an amazing job on nails for cheap prices, they also make you feel comfortable on a deeper level and take the time to get to know you. The lady did like 20 coats of shellac on my nails and it took like an hour (one nail at a time, which was weird) and they filed my nails totally uneven... they look ridiculous! And when I left I realized almost every nail was messed up! You could see the brush lines and some was already smudged. I was in a hurry so didn't even ask them to finish. Didn't even last one week and it's gel. Others definitely took notice that they were horribly done. read more

My daughter went to lucky nails to have a pedicure and manicure last week. Yesterday she had to make an appointment due to unclean utensil that left her with a bacterial fungus under her nail. This is unacceptable and will be reported to the better business bureau. read more
