Decided to check out a new corporate kitchen operation on High Street. I was there for Smitty's…read moreBBQ. It is owned by Herb and JJ Smith. They have been doing bbq since 2006. You can order online or at the site on a kiosk. I ordered at the site. Getting a Pulled Pork Sandwich, Macaroni and Cheese, and Baked Beans. Took awhile for the food to come out. The sandwich came out on a toasted brioche bun with the logo branded on it. The sandwich had a fair amount of pork on it but part was warm and part cold. It was chopped up well and had a nice smoky flavor to it. The Mac and cheese was a thicker style but needed a little more flavor to it. Baked beans had a more neutral flavor to them, they added a fair amount of pepper to them to help with flavor. Not bad at all. They were out of cornbread which being open just a couple of hours is unacceptable. I will give them a pass for this visit as they are obviously just getting on their feet. Hopefully it gets better.

He especially loved this and said it was very authentic (lots of beef and mushrooms and plenty of dill sprinkled on top. There was a birthday party that came in so the place was lively. We really liked the atmosphere and can't wait to come back.

Their new hours of operation at the time of this review are from Thursday to Saturday 11-6 and Sunday 11-4. I've wanted to try this place for soo long but Bexley is just out of my way. So when I heard that Red Square Grill became closer to me, I just had to try it! I brought my mom along to explain the dishes to me and what's good (short answer; everything). The lady that took our order is very nice and very helpful with understanding the menu. She speaks both Russian and English, so communication was not an issue. There's even an area to sit behind the food truck if you wanted to hang out there, which is what we did. I don't need the judgement, but I had a lot (it's been over 20 years since I've had these dishes) ... I had about 4 Chebureki (crescent shaped deep-fried pastry with meat inside), 2 Samsa (flakey pastry with either beef or lamb), 1 Lagman (think of a hearty soup mixed with light pasta - consists of meat, different vegetables, and noodles, VERY filling). I ate the most I've had in my life. Everything tasted delicious and nostalgic. It's not pricey at all and very worth it. With Columbus not having many Russian & Uzbek restaurants, it really makes me happy that this food truck exists and bringing a bit of diversity to Columbus. This is such a great opportunity to try a new cuisine and be exposed to a new culture that's really hard to come by otherwise. I really hope my review somewhat helps even one person not familiar with the food truck try it out. I will be back!

Very, very cool high school that dates back to the Underground Railroad AND offers tours!!! Now back to the BBQ. You cannot go wrong here with any of these choices BUT I am partial to the loaded potato, the Texas Twinkies, and ANY and I do mean ANY of the meats, they are all worth a try. The people working here are such wonderful people from this same small community and one small family. They have had so much business they said they have finally had to hire their first employee!!! Yay!!! if you love BBQ, road trips and history give them and the town a visit. It's worth a trip!!!

Spent over $70 on 2 Sliced Brisket, a Brisket Sandwich and Brisket plate, with mac and cheese, a loaded potato, and a sweet tea... except the sweet tea pulled a Houdini and never appeared or maybe it got raptured before pickup because it never arrived. The sliced brisket portions were so small I thought they accidentally packed the sample platter or maybe the rest was still smoking in the back. For $14.95, don't expect "half-pound brisket". The brisket edges actually tasted pretty good, but the middle tasted like roast beef that once saw a picture of a smoker online. The smoked mac and cheese contributed absolutely nothing to society -- no smoke, barely any cheese, just hot disappointment in a cup. Meanwhile, the loaded baked potato showed up ready to save the franchise. When we called about the issues and asked for the food difference or a refund, we were told this is just "how it's supposed to be" and they can't refund food because they "can't resell it." Good news: I don't think anyone was trying to buy it a second time anyway. Really wanted this place to be great, but this carryout experience got cooked harder than the brisket
