The sliced brisket portions were so small I thought they accidentally packed the sample platter or maybe the rest was still smoking in the back. For $14.95, don't expect "half-pound brisket". The brisket edges actually tasted pretty good, but the middle tasted like roast beef that once saw a picture of a smoker online. The smoked mac and cheese contributed absolutely nothing to society -- no smoke, barely any cheese, just hot disappointment in a cup. Meanwhile, the loaded baked potato showed up ready to save the franchise. When we called about the issues and asked for the food difference or a refund, we were told this is just "how it's supposed to be" and they can't refund food because they "can't resell it." Good news: I don't think anyone was trying to buy it a second time anyway. Really wanted this place to be great, but this carryout experience got cooked harder than the brisket

The people working here are such wonderful people from this same small community and one small family. They have had so much business they said they have finally had to hire their first employee!!! It was a relief to see employees smoking the food right outside (as we've encountered several bbq places that claim to serve smoked meat but don't actually smoke it.)
