I'm comparing my cheesesteak at Marlow's with what I had today from Wario's. Marlow's cheesesteak was not as salty to me. Maybe the mayo I added mellowed it out. I enjoyed Marlow's as much as I enjoyed Wario's except Marlo's was not as wet and was easier to eat. The inner wrapping paper was getting in my way at Wario's. I would order again from both places, probably deferring to Marlow's because it was a little less salty. read more

Service: not much of service to mention, but the lady working the cashier was friendly and efficient at her job. Ambiance/Atmosphere: art work on the walls were a really cool decoration. Tables were nicely spaced and inside was clean. The bar was nice and I can see this being a really good hangout spot amongst friends. Food: Marlow's way cheesesteak wasn't great. Cheesey and well seasoned meat packed into a roll. I wish the roll wasn't just a basic soft roll. Something with a little crunch or chew would have gone a long way. The spicy mustard and hot peppers made the sandwich hot enough to make your mouth burn and block out all other flavors. I'm sure without spice this sandiech would have been good, but the spice just masked all other flavors. I would recommend if you like spicy, but if you enjoy tasting your food I'd skip or ask for this without the spicy peppers. Build your own: I created a classic beef, American, onion cheesesteak. This cheesesteak was packed with meat, but severely lacking in cheese. They didn't add enough American and just the bottom of the sandwich was coated. So every second bite was great, but you had to go through a meat fest before each bite of your actual CHEESE steak. The meat was again well seasoned and for that I'll say it isn't a big deal, but some actual cheese in the sandwich would be nice. I'd say if you're gonna build your own you have to add cheese Wizz or it'll just be dry on top. read more

After checking into my hotel for the night before flying back home tomorrow I checked yelp to see what was in the area to eat and found this gem. First let's start with the service, we felt 100% at home and every question we had was answered. Second, The food was amazing!!! We all did a build your own and they were amazing!! My mom is doing keto so they made hers without the bun, just in a box. It was all seasoned PERFECTLY. Gooey cheese. Soft bread. Literal chefs kiss!! The fries were good but could have used just a tad more seasoning but that's just my personal preference. Last but certainly NOT least the cocktails!! I found this place, totally by mistake. My flight was delayed out of Columbus airport, so I drove by the airport exit and got off at the next ramp and did some searching on yelp for a good lunch. I love a good Philly cheesesteak and when this came up, I decided to give it a chance. It's in an awesome little main street type neighborhood, and when I walked in, I was welcomed and quickly served. After checking out the menu, I decided to get the Marlow, which turned out to be a great decision. This is an amazing Philly cheesesteak on Amarosa bread, tons of tender, perfectly cooked steak, peppers, cheese wiz, provolone, and a spicy mustard that I swear is cooked right into the cheese wiz. The flavors were intense and awesome. They bring it out the proper way fully wrapped so it stays warm and ready to take home if you need to. Great service. Friendly staff. And literally amazing food. I visited this restaurant on 5/8/26. This was one of the best cheese steak sandwiches I have ever had!!! I ordered the Johnny Boy which is a mix of beef and chicken and this was a packed 15 inch sandwich worth every penny. I opted for no onions and loved the combination of sweet red peppers and hot peppers on one sandwich. This place has a great laid back atmosphere with a bar counter. Several tables sprinkled around for those who want to stay and eat. You order your food and sit back until your name is called. Just north of the John Glenn Airport in Ghanna, this is a must on any Columbus visit. It so happened that we were looking for something to take back to cousin Jasper's house in Blacklick. Bingo! The nice lady that welcomed us was a credit to this organization. Friendly, efficient and helpful. The prep guy was super fast. Total time in restaurant was about 10-15 minutes. That included making two Marlow Way sandwiches, a Johnny Boy and a Classic Wiz Wit. We also had their classic Steak Kobe fries. The prices are a bit high, but the portions are very generous. Yup, it's a legit cheesesteak. Just like in Philly, it doesn't have green peppers on it. For you weirdos, you can add them, for whatever reason. Next time I think I would ask for extra whiz on mine. The chips were unique. I would get whiz on them the next time I go. The only thing I found a little strange is that the place didn't open until noon. Maybe because it's a bar? I'm not sure on that. Yum!!!!! Got to try some of the restaurants favorites all at once and I was stuffed! The beef and cheese was amazing, seasoned perfectly, and exactly what you want and expect from a Philly cheesesteak. Chicken was good too (a little dry for me but I don't like a lot of toppings on my steaks so definitely a me issue) but the steak was my favorite. Fries live up to their name as the best!!! This place is sooo good. The vibe is chill and there wasn't a lot of people when I came in. My order was ready quickly, and the lady who helped me was very nice. I ordered the salmon cheesesteak and the kobe fries. I asked for no cheese by accident, but they put it on the side for me which I appreciated. When I got home everything was still fresh and hot. Finally made it out to Gahanna to give Marlow's a try! You order at the ordering counter or the bar, and they bring it out to you. All food comes prepared "to-go" but you can eat it there no problem. They have a full bar which I wasn't expecting for a sandwich joint. My SO and I split the "Classic Wiz Wit" and got an order of fries with a side of cheese. The whole sandwich is probably 12-14 inches so definitely split-able for two people. It was ready in less than 10 minutes and we started chowing down. The steak was delicious, with little to no 'chewy parts' -- the little bits of tendon or other parts that are always a risk with some steak subs. The fries were the star of the show. Somehow they had the shape of a thick potato chip, but also had sort of curled edges, which made it perfect for dipping in the cheese sauce. Overall, we enjoyed the food. The cheesesteak was good but the fries were better. Although after hearing from countless others about the cheesesteaks from Marlow's, I was expecting it to be in the "best I've ever had category," which it fell just short of. I've been a fan of this place since I used to order from their food truck at various events. These cheesesteaks are fabulous and a perfect representation of the Philly Cheesesteaks you would enjoy if you ever had a chance to visit the city of Philadelphia. Although I didn't get it on mine, they provide the famous Cheese Wiz topping that balances that sandwich so well. The portion sizes are more than generous, the meat tastes fresh, is the right temperature and that bread is scrumptious. My personal favorites are the steak and chicken sandwiches. Thankfully my wife is always with me so we can get one of each and share them. Otherwise, I'd have to eat two all by myself (no complaints there!). One of these days I'm going to have to try that Parkside Salmon Cheesesteak because it sounds flat-out delicious! My problem is, I'm a creature of habit and tend to order my favorites. My husband has been talking about going to Marlow to get his cheesesteak fix. We ordered the Marlow's Way Cheesesteak, Kobe Fries with Chicken and Flavored Ice (Mango and Pineapple) The cheesesteak was pretty big size. You can easily have two meals with it. The Marlow's Way cheesesteak, has jalapeno and therefore has a little kick to it. But it was delicious. It was meaty, cheesy and oh so good. The Kobe fries with chicken had the right balance of cheese, chicken and perfect seasoning. And the flavored ice was the perfect ending (or beginning) to the meal. I have tried mango flavored ice from different places and they always disappoint me due to the lack of mango flavor. However, not at this place. You definitely can taste the mango. It was SOO good. The pineapple flavor was good too. We ate 1/2 of the sandwich at the restaurant and took the rest home. Next day we warmed it up and it still tasted delicious. Here u will find a Philly themed restaurant with hand painted murals, famous Philly athlete jerseys on the wall and a nice size bar with servers who have the best personality. The food... omg. First time here and realized it was the old Arepezo Latin restaurant. A few changes to the interior but the exterior is the same. It's easy enough to order when you're there because the sandwich is ready fairly quickly. You are asked for a tip on the screen after your order is taken. I am glad to tip a waiter but for someone that took my order and has yet to hand me my meal is all part of another topic (tipflation). I still tipped and my bag was handed to me a few minutes later. I'm not from Philly and have only had Max & Erma's and Arby's cheesesteaks. Sandwich was very good. Looks a little smaller than expected but is packed full of steak. Takeout order was fast, hot and expertly packaged. The cheesesteak is almost too good to describe. The meat, toppings and bread are perfectly proportioned. I don't know what they do to season the meat, but the flavor is incredible. Fries are thick potato curls with magical fairy dust house seasoning all over them. WARNING: Quality Collapse at Marlow's Cheesesteaks--AVOID at All Costs! This place used to be the go-to spot for an authentic cheesesteak, but the quality has completely collapsed. The beef is now nothing more than a greasy, fatty disappointment. It seems the owners are cutting corners by buying undesirable cuts of meat to keep their prices deceptively low. The constant cook turnover means the food is never consistent and the seasonings are completely out of control--it's usually way too salty. My last experience was a disgrace and rendered the sandwich inedible: I ordered regular cheese with a side of Wiz, but the cook dumped a mix of Wiz and a ton of mayo directly on top of the fatty meat instead of preparing the roll correctly. The poor construction, combined with the grease, caused the roll to become soggy as wet toilet paper from end to end. I took two bites and had to toss the entire sandwich in the trash. This kitchen simply does not understand the Philadelphia standard. They don't even offer raw onions, claiming they are all "pre-cooked." Good luck finding a steak shop in Philly that commits that cardinal sin. Save your money and AVOID this place at all costs. The drinks are also severely under-poured, so you're better off skipping them entirely. What was once a place to rave about is now a total RANT. I ordered a steak Philly extra onion,  both peppers, provolone, ketchup and mayo. Delicious!  Seasoned beautifully, good amount of everything. The onions are big, I didn't mind but I could see someone who's not the huge fan of onions preferring them to be a finer cut. Most authentic Philly I've had in Columbus. Fries were also great.  Nice and crisp, Seasoned good. They gained A loyal customer for the good alone for sure. My sister ordered the chicken cheesesteak which she also recommends. Decided to check this place out for my B-Day dinner and I am glad I did. The prices are reasonable, the service is amazing, and the Philly-themed decor is on point!
