They will run up debt (through a combination of incompetent management and doing a big update/remodel) then hold on for dear life for a year or two then file for bankruptcy protection, get the debt discharged, change names and repeat. So going back 28 years it was AMF who merged with Brunswick and then did a big remodel to Brunswick and BAM bankruptcy in 2001. So after that bankruptcy they rebranded everything to Brunswick and were going good for about a decade then BAM once again they went bankrupt in 2013. After that they rebranded as Brunswick Zone which went on for a few years and then changed it to Bowlero and it feels like the cycle is about to repeat and expect bankruptcy around the corner. So this particular location USED to have a nice bar with eight pool tables, darts, a cozy fireplace, plenty of seating, and was busy on weekends. I mean they needed two bartenders for all the customers and was going just fine. Yeah Covid happened, yeah economy took a downturn, so what did they do....? They tore out the bar and now it's just a big empty room with three pool tables in the middle. Half the cues have no tips, there is no bar, no food, no employees just one room with three pool tables (and one broken table in the corner covered with a tarp) and a sign that says "See front desk for pool balls". The room was DEAD EMPTY....it's like they're trying to lose money. Another funny thing is the bowling alley. One side is all remodeled with nice high back chairs and leather seating and all modern while the other side of the bowling area is the old tables and hard plastic chairs. Like they remodeled half the bowling area....? Who does that?? I would expect the corporate company to be in bankruptcy court in a year or two. Also it's perplexing to me why this business would shut down a profitable bar and pool league and just have an empty room now????

The Explore Pass allows "free" entry and limited access to some of the activities--bumper cars, laser tag, ball fort, laser maze, and a 360° video game. The laser tag arena is much bigger than i thought it would be (looking from the outside). Fun Lab is big enough to house multiple fun activities, but not too large so watching kids is a nightmare. There are non-inclusive activities (more $$) that seem fun. There is a cafeteria, too. Pros: - Lots of cool activities - Indoors - Great deal if you get the Explore Pass Cons: -Blaine is somewhat put of the way for us

A lot of stuff was broken (laser tag maze, laser tag vests, games, blowers in the ball area) or no staff were available to let us know how to use it. What we could use was fun the bumper cars and arcade were favorites for our five year old. We purchased an additional pass for the bumper cars he had to go again. Overall it was okay for the prices, but there are other options around the cities if you're willing to spend a little more.

We also enjoy meat raffle Saturdays and have come in with friends for a few years now and always have a good time. Drinks are affordable and good and the menu is updated with new and fun dishes to spice things up a bit. Staff is amazing, they remember their regulars and welcome in new patrons alike. Our go to are the pizzas for the kids, waffle fry basket and chicken wings. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. If you want a bit of fun, don't forget to get some Pulltabs or take kids over to bowl and play arcade games. Our sports teams have held many of our team get togethers here and kids always have a great time and they make it easy to order for a large group. If you are looking for a party space, they do rent the upstairs. I've been there for school fundraisers and ladies golf outing before. You can order food and drinks from staff upstairs during an event if an option. It also leads out to a gorgeous deck space and when it is sunny and beautiful outside, it's where I want to be! During the warmer months, they also have a very nice patio outside the bar/restaurant area and it's our go to after golfing or to meet up with friends for a happy hour. You will see plenty of families who come in as well and plenty of space for kids to roam and keep them busy.

They have daily specials that are pretty good. Today I ordered the Super Salad with chicken. Came with kale, grains, raspberries, goat cheese, candied nuts, avocado, & figs. They have a lunch special where you can get a full size salad or sandwich and a side of vegetables like brussel sprouts or soup, plus a non-alcoholic drink for $20. Food was good but I felt like everything was on the sweet end. Service wasn't very attentive. We had to call our server for a few things, including to request our check. Bathroom is clean. This wasn't my first time coming here and I do recommend if you're in the area. If you can't find parking in the lot, the garage has plenty of space.

Coming to the Mermaid is a special treat for our kids, who enjoy bumper bowling and the arcade games. Mom and Dad like all the craft beer options they have on tap and the solid pepperoni pizza. I'll be honest, I haven't tried other menu options but I intend to one of these days. I love that they brought the Mermaid status back - check it out!

After 15mins of waiting, seriously? To top it off, she had quite the attitude. She went to find the manager to see if we could indeed, sit at the three open tables - after waiting some more, the manager said we could have them after an additional 30min wait - because the section had too many people. First of all, I wouldn't have even waited the first 15mins had I know all this from the start - we would've just went to the bowling side first. I told the manager that we were going to go to the bowling side, to which he replied they are also busy so we probably won't get a spot - literally a 2min wait and we were set with three lanes. The good part - our waitress at the bowling alley, she was great and the bowling staff was super helpful and nice! After about 30mins, the manager comes to find us at the bowling alley, to ask us if we wanted those tables again...uh no, we are already seated? So when I said no thank you, he laughed in annoyance and walked off.

Decided to take a family of 4 bowling on Christmas Eve and it was over $100 to rent the lane for 2 hours and the bowling shoes. My kids are 5 and 9 and 2 hours was truly perfect! We were able to do around 4 games. Depends on how fast you bowl. We decided to get some drinks. The prices for even just a regular soda are insane! $5 for a Mt Dew that doesn't get a refill? And is full with ice? No. Haha We also got the cotton candy lemonade and dragon fruit lemonade. These tasted so cheap and VERY sweet. The lemonade is not tart. That was even MORE expensive. The pretzels with cheese are what you would buy at Walmart but marked way up. Again not worth it at all! May be the pitcher of soda and pizza would be better for a family? The vibes here are very fun! Large projectors with games on, fun music and everything was clean! Everyone we encountered was very friendly! At one point, one of the bowling balls got stuck in the gutter and an employee came out quick to fix it! There is an arcade, a pool table, bags/corn hole and plenty of spots to sit. This is a super fun place to go! I personally will be eating before I go next time!
