It's expensive because it's airport food, but the menu had a good variety and the spaghetti carbonara was excellent!! Service was pretty good, friendly. The decor for an airport restaurant was pretty nice. Again, expensive (because items the airport), but good customer service, menu selection and food quality.
Do not come here if you're looking for a high quality, speedy service and great good. This place is great to kill some time because there are barely any servers and those who work there have are not putting on any effort. I guess they are the only proper sit-down restaurant at the moment and are seriously taking advantage of that. Also, beware that getting your check will take a while. The girl seemed seriously overwhelmed, because it took 20 minutes after I asked for it. Got a Spetzi (Coca Cola+Fanta) and a pizza Luicia. The drink was on point. The pizza not so much. The only decent thing was the dough. There was barely any sauce, and the few splats were super bland, as was the cheese and the salami. The few mushrooms were decent. Again, a great place to chill and kill time. Just don't expect anything great.
I had a long layover in Frankfurt due to a delay. Due to the largeness of the airport and my worries about possibly getting back to the right area with sufficient time, I decided to stay put near gates Z, where my flight would depart from, instead of venturing out. Unfortunately, this area does not have comfortable seating nor does it have a priority pass lounge - it also does not include many sit down dining options. I chose to go here. It was Dec 31 around lunch, and I was immediately seated around lunch time (although I did see that some parties were turned away later). I ordered quite a bit of- a beer, spaghetti carbonara and some bruschetta. Service was fine - they weren't particularly friendly but direct. I was served pretty quickly for my beer and my food arrived on a little serving robot (I saw it wheel food around to other tables as well). Beer was great but food was mediocre. Pasta wasn't really up to par - quite salty and a little greasy (the plates that I saw passing by also looked a little oil-laden). The bruschetta was probably the most disappointing - 3 pieces were provided and I only ate half of one before I decided I would eat the toppings separately from the bread, which I left on the plate. There was so much oil that if I pressed my fork down in the bread, I could see pools of olive oil. Tomatoes were fine and tasty though. I thought they were a nice refreshing pairing to my pasta. Overall... I probably would only come back if I wanted a nice seat and a beer.

Looking over the menu I was not really eager to try the place. However, with limited options they won! Please note that they do not offer an extensive breakfast menu. Your options will be limited. I was in the mood for breakfast and ordered the egg with a bread basket and added a side of tomatoes . I also ordered a coffee beverage to drink. The service was ok. No one really came to check on me to see if I needed anytime. The food was ok. Not something I would have to have again.
Service was tardy and unprofessional. I had to remind an unapologetic waiter of our order after a 45 minute wait! Food is average for a restaurant which claims it have authentic Italian cuisine. Ambiance is non-existent. Also cheated - given a coke but charged for a beer and charged for a tip without consent. This outlet preys on unsuspecting tourists, please check your bill before payment.
Sat down for early dinner while connecting flights in Frankfurt. The restaurant is Italian but it's definitely not authentic. We ordered two pizzas after reading good reviews. I give it 3 stars. The cheese tasted like cheddar cheese. The Salmon was the best dish. Good and flavorful salmon, spinach and potatoes. The biochemical gnocchi was ok. The beer was good as one can expect in Germany. Service is 3 stars. I take into account that this is a restaurant in the airport. But still. I had better meals in Frankfurt airport.
Super unfriendly and waited over 30 min after seated to get any service and the restaurant was like 25% capacity so not busy the food is tasty but service lousy worse first experience in Germany - conveniently located in the international terminal Frankfurt airport
As a date of April 8th, around 17:30, Me and my family had the most unpleasant experiences with all the staff at the restaurant. We were waiting to be seated and there was one waiter, who has an Arabic appearance and was short with dark hair, saw us and went back to the staff in the kitchen, who were loudly chatting. We were waiting for a few minutes and asked if we could go ahead and sit. And this guy just showed us a very rude hand gesture. We sat at the table and this guy walked and threw the paper menu. As we decided to leave and walked out, this guy plus whole kitchen crew just watching us and laughing to each other. Please check on the CCTV if you have. The most disgusting service ever in my life.

I ordered their breakfast plate and frankly it's exactly what I wanted. Service was OK. I could see where the complaints come from but my experience was reasonable.
Basic solid place for a quick pizza and drink before your flight. We shared the veggie pizza and it was legit, not the best thing ever but also not terrible. Veggies were fresh, pizza flavorful. Crust a little charred on the edges but it is a thin crust wood fire pizza. All in all, not bad.

We tried their pizza topped with bacon, onions, and cheese. It was tasty and the crust had a good crispness to it. The biggest problem here is their service, it is VERY slow. It took forever to even get drinks, do NOT come here if you think you'll be late for your flight. We arrived 3 hours early for our flight, and by the time we finished eating a single pizza and some water, it took up 2 hours of our time. Overall, I'd probably pass and choose to eat somewhere else in the Frankfurt airport next time.
Great place to grab a plate while waiting for my next flight. Amazing views of the tarmac, seating comfy and staff very pleasant. Ordered the Caprese and was not disappointed. Actually was filled and didn't eat all the cheese or the bread. Also got Vodka Tonic to wash it all down. 10/10 would stop here anytime I am going through Frankfurt. Seeing as it's been 18 years since I last stopped through, maybe I will get lucky and be here sooner! read more
Great food... Special Veggie Pizza was awesome.. They made it real tasty .. Ingredients like Tomato, Onion, Peppers made it special.. They made it hot and spicy for me...love it. Service by Oxana and Milena were fantastic... They were friendly, nice and willing to help extra mile... They think i am a comedian. They keep checking on how am i doing... If i need anything else... Great folks and wonderful management. I was there for close to two hours. Ambiabce for this place was so good . Robot was picking up the food and brings to the table.. What an amazing.. Oxana brings to my table. The place was not so noisy or loud... They had a bar also run by the same organization.. They have a separate bar seat.. I was only in the dining room. Learning about the Frankfurt and German news... I can speak few words :))))))))just kidding. This is basically the only restaurant in the Z gates at Frankfurt airport. Food - It was okay, the carbonara was decent and the rigatoni bolognese was good. Service - Very slow, there were only 2 servers in the whole restaurant, food took quite a while to come out. Overall, this place is okay. read more

Got a quick early morning breakfast here before my flight home to the USA. I think I've been here before. Really tasty scrambled eggs with a nice selection of cheese and cold cuts. A little pricey but good. read more

Couldn't believe this was airport food because we loved our breakfast here at Lucullus Nero Service was prompt and efficient and the booths were comfortable and there was no rush to leave Truffled eggs and roasted potatoes were hearty and very flavorful.....lots of truffle! Lattes were creamy and strong. The perfect ratio When hitting the Lufthansa lounge is not an option, this place will set you right read more
After 10 days eating sub par Indian food, this place was a beacon of light in the dark world of curry and masala. Oh, and the coffee! Finally a decent cup of coffee that isn't Nescafé granules! The chocolate croissant was superb. As well as a few other items in the breadbasket. Service was friendly. They have a great selection of breakfast options. It's pretty high class airport food. And the view of the Lufthansa planes coming and going is great. And free wifi. There's nothing as satisfying as a shower, a decent cup of coffee, and a chocolate croissant after 22 hours of flying! read more
Initially I thought you had to wait to be seated by no one said hello and these other two guys were wondering same thing then the waiter said to just seat yourself. I had to grab some lunch before my flight, this looked the most decent as I was looking for some comfortable seats. Unfortunately there was no couches available as it was busy. About 1 or 2 waiters so you literally have to wave someone down. Ordered the pasta carbonara... Looked awful tasted like something I can make at home and I am not a good cook but it did the job of putting some food in my system. For 13,90€ I was hoping for better quality. The small beckers beer I had was 3,90€. Small selection of beers and the other one I wanted to try only came in a big size. Was hard to finish the pasta and it wasn't that big ! read more
It deserves a 3.5 but I rounded it downwards. I had the Spaghetti with olive oil, garlic and hot peppers and a glass of Italian red wine. The Spaghetti was very good, the wine so-so and the prices were high since it is an airport restaurant. read more
The shrimp in the green salad is delicious, although there are only three of them. The prices also tend to be a bit high. But you get to sit on a comfy next to the windows overlooking the planes, so it could be worse. Regrettably they don't have a whole lot of beers to choose from (even for a non-beer drinker who would venture to try some while in Germany), and vegetarian options are rather limited. It's also located by the atrium where multiple wings of the terminal meet so I presume they get a lot of traffic this way. I would say sit here and relax while enjoying some Italian cuisine, rather than the cafe-style place right in front called The Bar if you have a longer layover that makes comfort more important. read more

The food in this place was fine. Although the menu failed to say that there was arugula in the caprese. If they would've mentioned it, I wouldn't have ordered it at all. The service was extremely slow and painful. We spent 2 hours in this place. I'm giving it 2 stars only because there was only 1 server who was taking care of the whole restaurant. Luckily I didn't have a flight to take and could afford to spend time here. read more
