Was traveling home from a week in EU. Had a flight out of Frankfurt and stayed at the airport Marriott. Had dinner at Flavors and wasn't disappointed. Sat at the bar. Friendly couple was next to me and had a nice chat. Bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. I got the veal schnitzel dish with the green sauce. Excellent. He also made me a very good Old Fashion drink. Will definitely go back if I'm in the area. read more

Only visited during rush hour breakfast time. There is a short order cook for eggs as well. Advertises itself as American breakfast buffet. They get it mostly right. No sausage and biscuit with gravy but they certainly have an American bacon on hand. They also have a variety of European breads and pastries for a continent breakfast option. Servers were synchronized and you don't need to summon one as they're within earshot of your table. read more

I was never expecting to award an airport hotel's restaurant five stars...but Flavors, in Frankfurt, Germany, broke through with a very comfortable ambiance, great service, super presentation and most of all delicious food. Flavors captured the total experience for me while on business in Deutschland. I caught a glimpse of a huge slab of fresh tuna as I walked into the restaurant and the image haunted me (in a good way) as I rummaged through Flavor's menu. After jumping for the Sautéed Scallop appetizer dressed up in sesame butter and avocado and surrounded by spinach salad and potato aioli, I gave in for a grilled tuna steak. I loved how my server rolled the tuna cart over to my table, complete with scale to custom weigh and then cut the swath of tuna to a thickness to match my appetite. It was grilled medium just as requested with just a hint of pink inside. ...And I love the food presentations here at Flavors...even the bread basket...thick slices arranged over a box of warm stones. Only the taste of this crusty staple outweighs the brilliance of the "bread box" presentation. Because I often use Frankfurt International to fly Delta home directly from Europe, I've got a feeling I'll have some future opportunities to enjoy the 5-star flavors of Flavors. read more

Decent airport hotel restaurant but be prepared for sticker-shock it is not cheap. After a long day of traveling I wanted something simple so I opted of a classic hamburger at 23 euros. It was very large Andi could tell it was a hand made patty not a preformed hockey like puck which is very common. The burger was juicy and cooked to perfection with French fries and a few onion rings accompanying it. I was very impressed by the house French red wine. It was very good and a bargain at 7 euros. I saw the 5's, got to say for the price not a 5. It was good, as one person pointed out not your average airport restaurant. However, the price is very high and the steaks we had were tough and grizzly. Now I have to say the Octopus was wonderful, the ceiche wasn't good at all, and the shrimps were nice. Overall solid, if you are not paying, go for it. If you are you might move on. My Argentine Rib Eye was so grizzly I should have sent it back. The others in the group all had that as well and all indicated that it was not a tender steak. I am an American that in addition to going to many of the big chains (Ruth's Chris, Mortons) I have been many times to Sparks, Peter Lugar's, Metropolitan Grill and this was not even in those discussions. Also, service was super slow, took us over 2 hours to get out of the place. read more

Not your average airport restaurant. All things considered I would come here especially if it were not in an airport. Beef from US and Argentina are prevalent on the menu at fairly acceptable prices all things considered. Service is team based and attentive just enough. Wine list was broad in depth and price range. Really good spread for breakfast. They had the usual eggs, bacon etc but also had things like Asian noodles and rolls. Liked the honeycomb sides along with Peanut butter and Nutella for your toast. read more

I have been to many airport and hotel restaurants but Flavors is definitively my favorite! We have been coming to Flavors for the past 11 years and we usually see the same waiters and always the food, service and wine are excellent. I always have the schnitzel and is my favorite. The strudel is always super delicious. read more

Pretty good, not blowing my mind but decent place. Had steak on a mid afternoon. It was well cooked and the service was old school but good. There wasn't much special other than that this was a nice classic steak house. The price was a bit high but it was at an airport hotel so I guess it's expected. read more

The reason I give five stars is because I could not give six. My fiancée and I split an 850g porterhouse and three side dishes and it was not just one of the best hotel restaurants I've ever eaten in but one of the best period. Service was good but the real star of the show was the steak. It was a dry-aged cut of magnificent beef and cooked perfectly to my request of medium-rare. The reduction sauce accompanying it was a great compliment. We will be back when we are next here. read more
