Aside from the bartender all the other staff are not nice at all. It was my first time here and didn't know anything about this place but googled and thought it would be a good spot to watch the flyers game this past weekend. The bald white guy at the door was cold and unwelcoming. Felt like we were doing a disservice to him by walking in. Then there's some jacked gay black security guy who was wearing some tight fitting under armor blue tee who rocked me twice that night from behind as he was walking through the area I was in. The first time I nervously laughed because I thought it was a buddy of mine bumping me on purpose. The dudes got a superiority complex. He rocked me again like an hour later and I wanted to say something but this is the type of guy that has nothing to lose and would not even entertain a comment of mine would probably just get all tough and tell me I need to leave. So I saved myself the headache. Butttt in short I won't be back. Get your staff some training on how to be decent humans. It will go a long way and lead to more $ for you. read more

Went here with 5 or so friends to watch a UFC fight - but unfortunately never made it in as the bouncer decided to power trip. One person in our group had just moved from out of state and this had a valid PA interim license, along with the previous state's license. When it was explained to the door guy that this was a valid ID, he was immediately dismissive and said "if you don't like it leave a review or something". If your staff are too lazy to go grab a manager to double check that an ID is valid, or to understand liquor laws - you lose business. Cool new sports bar in the city - ground level is a nice sit down and eat space with a bar and huge screens everywhere, downstairs is more of a lounge/club/dance floor space with a bar as well. The staff, drinks from the cocktail menu, food and vibe were 10/10. I loveddd the chicken and potato samosas, chicken sandwiches, wings, and the fries are the perfect amount of crispy to moist ratio. First time so popped in after walking by a number of times during my trips into Philly and I am happy I did. Lively happy hour crowd with the Yankees playoff game up on the big screen. One of the staff had a Yankees cap on which surprised me in Philly. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Made me feel welcome. Small bar style menu. I grabbed Wings and a pint. Fresh and tasty. Lucy's is a sports bar with a dance floor downstairs! the upstairs is really big, and can get crowded during sports games. downstairs there is a dance floor and two bars. it can get extremely crowded on weekends. they have dollar dog night for Phillies home games. and $5 spiked huggies, which are personally my favorite. i've had the fried cheese curds and they were pretty good! hot dogs are alright but i mean... it's a hot dog i'm just happy they're a dollar. other food is kind of pricey. service is always great, staff is super sweet and attentive. just generally not my type of bar but it's fun to dance there! read more

There are tv screens for the sports fans and there was even karaoke on a Wednesday. The bartender was attentive and the doormen were nice and friendly. A reinvention of the old Lucy's in Old City! I've only been here for happy hour but the bartenders have been nice and the prices are pretty standard for center city. You can tell it's new because it's still pretty clean and doesn't smell like stale beer lol. There's a dance floor downstairs that opens at night. I never leave a review unless I have felt that the service or experience was not worth it. My partner and I are from out of state (both have worked service) and so we have REAL IDs from out of state but even though we were of age (21+) we were denied entrance. Additionally the bouncer on that Friday night in a green jacket confiscated the ID and did not not return the ID until law enforcement was called to intervene. I am concerned that if you are out of state or international that they may confiscate your documentation. Don't risk it of you are considering traveling soon or need your ID for documentation purposes as they may not give it back. I was really excited to experience ans try the bar but did not get the experience or opportunity to do so. read more

I stopped by Lucy's early on a Saturday night for drinks and food. It is a sports bar, so I was disappointed they don't have ESPN+ and were unable to put the UFC fight night on a screen. I started off with their apple cider mule. It was a tasty, well mixed cocktail. There wasn't even any live event going on, but the bar was extremely loud. At my table we could barely hear each other speak. For food, we shared the Buffalo wings, crab balls, and fish sliders with french fries. My favorite was the crab balls, perfectly fried and full of crab. The other items were very good too, a step up from standard bar food. The food was good enough to distract me from not being able to watch UFC. Service was consistently excellent, despite the place being standing room only as the night went on and the Sixers game started. Lucy's is sure to be a success, but a sorts bar should have ESPN+. More and more sporting events are moving to streaming. read more

I would not recommend this place. The wings were more bread than chicken. The staff spent more time socializing with each other, at least 10 of them huddled at the corner of the bar, than paying attention to their customers. Atmosphere was fine, but there are definitely much better sports bars with better food and staff in town. read more

I just left out of this establishment and I definitely will not be going back. I ordered a virgin cider and they brought it to me and a paper cup which is very confusing because they're a bar so I thought they would have a mug. They charged me three dollars for a small glass of soda water with lemon. And then they brought me cold waffle fries, and when I did not eat them and just sat there for 30 minutes with them on the table, pushed away from me nobody came back to check and see if I needed anything or how the food was, When she finally came back, I told her what the problem was, and she didn't offer any kind of concession, compensation, redo, reheat refund--nothing. I was still charged for the fries,so I just brought them home because I figured I'll just pop them in the air fryer if I have to pay for them. When arrived I wasn't greeted, When the server finally walked over. She didn't even introduce herself, so I don't know this person's name, but most of the servers in there looked a little bit rude and unwelcoming, I should've just followed my intuition and stayed out of there, but I gave a decent tip.
