Our server was excellent!!! However, the food was very sub-par. Our sweet potato fries were border line burnt and the sausage came out cold. Everything else was just "meh". We give this 3 stars as the server "saved" it from being a lower star since she was super friendly and attentive.

I checked out Trademan's because I was in Center City for an event! I don't get to Center City too often these days (Apocalyptic Pandemic Reasons..Lol) so I wanted to get a place with a varied menu! The menu features BBQ items and a robust beer/draft menu! Me & my friends decided to sample a few items...cheesesteak egg rolls; smoked wings and a burger! The food was Meh ...the beer menu and service is why we gave it the extra star! Our server was fantastic! The space is wide open and I appreciate openness! Would I return..Yes..Happy Hour for sure!

Security was inside carding individuals who were coming in. FYI if you come between 2-3 they are transitioning from brunch to dinner and the meats aren't available. Luckily we arrived closer to 3 and didn't have any issue ordering. I wasn't impressed by my sandwich. I felt like the pulled pork meat had been sitting and it was dry. I doused it in BBQ sauce and I still needed needed to add more sauce. I loved the fries since they had a crunch to the and were seasoned. This was a spot I had been wanting to return to but after this visit I may only be coming by for some drinks. Good luck finding parking on the street. I parked in a nearby parking garage. Our server was okay, I arrived later than the rest of the group. When she came back to the table she asked if everyone was ready to put in their order and I had to ask if I could put in a drink order only to realize that someone else at the table hadn't received their drink and they were the first to put it in. She forgot small additions we made to some of the orders. Otherwise, service was good.

Food was respectable. Website doesn't seem updated. Saw no boozy milkshakes to order. Some male staff started having patrons including myself to stand up early so that they could move the seats and the waitress we had felt bad and offered me and my friend free shots. Probably should at least have waited until 10 pm and made a general announcement over a loudspeaker first. The way the male staffers were putting away the chairs too early scared some female Patrons and they just stood up and wanted to leave early. People there were super nice but made for an awkward transition time.

    Breakfast burger (Brunch)

Came here for brunch and this is a solid spot. I had the Breakfast burger with tots and my fiancé had the Smokehouse. The Breakfast Burger was amazing, there is an in-house sauce on it, and it is on an English muffin! I tried some of the smoke house and I enjoyed It. I didn't think I would like the barbecue sauce so close to the grits, but it tasted good to me. My fiancé decided to get the cheese on the side by the way. This spot definitely should be at the top of your list if you had a wild night and you are hungover. This is definitely a prime spot for hangover eats in my opinion. They offer Brumosas here too.(orange juice, champagne, and allagash white)

First time trying this establishment this evening. The bartending team was fantastic! They worked well together with taking care of me, everyone around and remained really observant. I was quite overwhelmed with the atmosphere. Loud music, plastic cups after 9PM and very crowded. More of a nightclub scene as the evening continued. I enjoyed the two sides I got (pictured). Enjoyed the food.

Half rack of ribs with coleslaw and two sauces

This score is solely based on the dry rub( which I never get) ribs. They are SUPER delicious! And this coming from someone who is known for her ribs. The coleslaw was ok. I did ask for some dressing for them. The place is large and so I felt very comfortable with eating in this establishment, in terms of distancing. Our waitress was attentive until we got our food. Then she disappeared for a bit. It was okay because I snagged another waitress when I needed more of the delicious sauce for my ribs. My daughter and her boyfriend frequent here and I'd actually been one other time. But I didn't have the half rack of ribs, apparently. This is totally a favorite now.

Nice atmosphere could almost be called cozy. The Smoked Brisket French Fries and Gravy appetizer is "to die for". HIGHLY recommend.

Don't use debit to buy drinks. THREE times in the past 2 weeks our card has been charged over $2,000.00 by this establishment fraudulently.

I visited for lunch during Restaurant Week, which I enjoyed because of its close proximity to the corporate hub in Center City where I work and for its solid menu. I was seated quickly at a high-top for my noon reservation. The restaurant is much larger inside than it looks, split in half with the left providing an upscale bar aesthetic while the right presents a quieter, modern lounge feel. (It seemed like service staff was directing those with previously-booked OpenTable RSVPs to the lounge side.) Service was great, as my waitress continuously checked in during my meal even as more customers arrived throughout the lunch period. I appreciated being offered to add fries on my burger order, as Village Whiskey didn't have it automatically added on the RW menu. The only drawback was she forgot to ask how I wanted my burger cooked, but it came out medium rare which is the way I eat it regardless. I trust that's how they default, which is a good sign. The Food Breakdown: Deviled Eggs (4/5) - Classic, solid, and a good starter. I honestly selected it since the other appetizer options didn't really appeal to me, but nothing spectacular or negative about it. Four comes with each order. All-American Burger (5/5) - Fantastic. I'm not a pickle enjoyer, but the acidity just blended into each juicy bite. The jam had a slight kick, and you can taste the fattiness within the double Wagyu smash patties. High-quality all around and a solid portion size. Duck Fat Fries (4/5) - They were well-seasoned, and each order comes with a small side of ketchup. Granted I didn't ask, but I almost wish they offered a spicy mayo instead because it would complement the crunchiness better. Overall, the food quality and taste were superb. My only caveat was the price, knowing that $35 after tax and gratuity for lunch (without an additional drink) is costly. I wouldn't be able to come everyday, but it certainly has my vote for sharing with others the destination that has an immaculate burger.

The wait staff informed me that there was NO ROOM for us in the EMPTY seating area, so we were seated next door in the bar area. If you can tell me why there was no room in an empty restaurant for a party who arrived ON TIME, please someone let me know. At any rate the bar area was fun and lively but a bit narrow to navigate. Since it was happy hour, we ordered all of the $6 Snacks and some $8 snack items. OOOK, here we go: Hot chicken slider( you only get 1 folks) very good and had the right amount of toppings 5/5 Pulled pork slider: Very flavorful, juicy, and tender: 5/5 Caesar salad: 5/5 Deviled eggs. Good, but too salty Fried pickles: Good, but too salty Chicken & Andouille Gumbo: This was excellent. The braised chicken thighs were seasoned well and very tender. The pickled red onions really elevated this dish. 5/5 The grilled salmon had a great char and crunch. It was not dry nor over cooked. 5/5 The burger was delicious just as a burger should be and the famous duck fat fries were very crunchy. 5/5 for both Happy hour is really the time to go, but make sure they honor your reservation. Til we eat again....

The inside has a great cozy vibe, feeling like a small, quaint pub where you just want to settle in and stay awhile, which in fact we did. We started our meal with two incredible appetizers. First, we built an amazing cheese and ham charcuterie board, choosing 5 different cheeses that were all fantastic. We also ordered the Whipped Ricotta, which was out-of-this-world delicious. The maple syrup drizzle was a perfect touch, and it paired beautifully with the pumpkin seed puree and grilled bread. For my main course, I went with the Beer-Battered Fish & Chips. The fish was cooked absolutely perfectly, crispy on the outside, flaky on the inside, and just super tasty overall. The portion was pretty amazing too. It came served with parmesan chips, malt mayo, malt vinegar, and tartar sauce, which completed the dish perfectly. Even though I was stuffed, I couldn't resist dessert. The cinnamon beignets were light, fluffy, and the absolute perfect ending to a phenomenal meal. The other component I'll mention is there were four of us dining and every single one of us thought the food was just terrific! Not a single complaint! I should also mention the service was attentive and pleasant. Society Hill has a lot of dining options, but this place completely stands out. I'd definitely go back! Highly recommend!

Hostess was welcoming and they were kind when we were about 5min beyond their 15min lateness window (we did call ahead about it though). Our table was comfortable and attractive, but the lighting was such that somehow we were under a bright light while the rest of the room was quite dark so it felt a little on display. I also got a real "city vibe" from the other patrons, like just cold and pseudo-hostile as I've often felt from city dwellers as a suburbanite. No smiles or even acknowledgment from others as you walk to/from the bathroom or brush past someone getting to your seat. Just did not feel like any holiday was happening in there. Other places downtown don't seem to have this vibe despite their obvious urban demographic. It could be the cold weather, political climate, or just that crowd at that time, but that was the overwhelming ambiance I felt. Had the "All In The Family" bourbon flight, including Basil Hayden, Knob Creek, and Maker's Cask. Loved the Maker's Cask, was not a fan of the others. Also had a Michter's US*1 which was a lucky blind pick for me, very good! I will say our server was quite sweet and did a very good job. She smiled, made eye contact, and was knowledgeable about the food. She wasn't fully versed in the extensive whiskey menu but they really need some kind of manual or bourbon "Bible" to explain all the various batches and makers, so I don't discredit her for that, though Twisted Tail ought to be on top of that with a didactics for their bountiful booze. I acknowledge and second many photos and reviews saying seasoning was needed, particularly on meats. My husband needed salt to try to save his "prime rib" by which he was so disappointed and consequently grumpy the rest of the meal. My son's ham was good but not the highest quality. My short rib was okay but also needed salt. Sides were varied and plentiful, and all tasted decent. I'd have to say they redeemed the meal for me. The variety and selection were spot on for Thanksgiving, all the tastes and flavors you would want or expect of the holiday! Dessert was pies that tasted at least a week old. They were dry, flavorless (except sugar), and difficult to cut. After 2 bites I just stopped eating. Flavors were the predictable pumpkin, apple or pecan. It really doesn't matter which I ate because all we tried were equally terrible. They charged an obligatory 20% service fee. We added another 10% to it.
