This place feels like an Apple store but for luxury jewellery and watches: incredible knowledge, really down-to-earth and cool staff, and awesome product. My salesperson was Jonathan who was just great. I've bought several watches from other authorized dealers around town and this place ranks up there in quality. If you're a watch enthusiast, it's a fantastic place because the sales staff are not overly aggressive, there's no doorbell to ring before getting let in, and most importantly, get this: they actually know a lot about watches! While I've dealt with great salespeople over the years, I never really got the sense anybody had any passion for the product. But Lugaro has this funky feel where it's not all snooty high horology nor the pushy one-and-done service you tend to get from mall jewellery stores. It has the best selection in the entire city for mid-level watches and this is really important as so many stale brands from the past have really upped their game and now there's just so many great models to choose from. I bought a watch from Jonathan and was given exceptional service. He knows incredible amounts of knowledge on all the models I inquired about, had a very friendly attitude that was never rushed and was always professional. I've been coming into the store off-and-on for about a year before making the purchase and he remembered me every time. I think what I like from Jonathan's service the most was that he understood the idea behind luxury goods where you build a relationship and trust that can last for years. It's the one really important advantage that a brick and mortar has left over online retail and where a store can really build that client loyalty based on the customer experience alone. Last week I stopped by Lugaro Metrotown to pick out a ring for myself since not a lot of the jewellery stores in Vancouver have a good selection of rings for men. I know Lugaro is known for good selection of watches and my buddy got a really nice omega and Tudor watch here so I thought to stop by. To my surprise the staff was all very knowledgeable, super polite and actually was patient with me as oppose to other jewellery stores in Metrotown. I didn't really know what I wanted but they worked within my price point and Jill gave her honest opinion and what kind of gents ring would suit my lifestyle the best. She answered all questions and never pressured me to buy on the spot. I wish there was a little more selection, but she recommended that I check out park royal store too. Clara and Daisy could custom make me one but I ended up buying from Jill after my second visit. Jack (i think his name was..) was there too on my second trip, and I couldn't help but check out there big display of OMEGA watches. I sent some pics to my girlfriend so hopefully I'll get a new watch for my birthday coming up! I was referred to George by my best friend, let me tell you this is by far the best shopping experience I have on purchasing my new Omega watch. He told me George is the guy to see if I need to buy a watch, being a newbie in the watch world I didn't know much about watch at all. First off I would like to explain that I am known to be pretty picky which is why my boyfriend at the time (now finance) decided to bring me along to choose the engagement ring. I had seen a Lugaro add displaying Rolex at the Vancouver Airport as I exited to pick up my rental car. After having lunch with my Aunt and cousin, my brother and I had some time before we had to attend my cousin's wake and funeral tomorrow. We decided to drive to Lugaro at Metropolis to check the price of a Rolex. I walked in and was greeted by an elderly gentlemen and was told they don't carry Rolex and showed me Omega and Tudor and told me Tudor makes Rolex. While looking at Omega catalog, he ask if there was something I was looking for and I ask if he carry the James Bond watch and he showed me one that was in the display case. We discussed the price between US and Canadian, I already had own 2 Rolex watches and was looking at Omega as my next watch. I saw the watch and the price that we discussed that I couldn't resist and I told him I would take it and used my Capital One Visa card since they don't charge any currency exchange fee. In October, I purchased the Tudor, Black Bay S&G with the black watch face from Burnaby location for an anniversary gift. We have been to the Metrotown store a couple of times. First to look at and second when it came time to purchase. I called the Park Royal store first to see if they had one, they didn't and the sales person told me no and for me to call around to the Metrotown store instead of checking for me and letting me know. How rude, it wasn't a good experience, considering we've shopped there in the past. When I called they Metrotown location to see if they had the watch, they were sold out. I dealt with Jack on the phone and he provided excellent service, he was courteous and helpful. At the end of the day, he had the watch my spouse wanted. Lugaro is one of those rare establishments where quality and value meet business ethics and professionalism. I saw their bus ads and decided to take a look. Their new store is beautiful! Huge selection of Omega and a few new brand I've never seen before. I wasn't in the market for a new watch, but one of the sales associates introduced me to a German watch brand called Glashutte original. I've heard of German precision and the such, but I've always though Swiss watches were the way to go. Though I've already mentioned that I wasn't interested in making a purchase today, their sales associate took the time to explain the mechanics and history of the watch. Diamond prices are ok and Jill was very helpful in helping me out choose the right diamond for my earrings and pendant.
