    This will be a two (2) part review:…read more First Review - Fort Mill Ford I purchased a 2017 Lincoln MKC SUV with 49K miles from Fort Mill Ford. The car was a very nice car and filled my needs nicely. About 65K the check engine light appeared that would not disappear with standard maintenance. I had a local mechanic assess the problem and was advised that I needed a new engine. I checked with several Ford dealers close to were I lived with no interest from any I approached. I returned to Fort Mill Ford and they looked at my problem and confirmed that the engine was in need of replacement. Fort Mill Ford had an engine specialist that was not available through other dealers. The motor replacement cost was $5000. The good people at Fort Mill Ford worked with me and Ford Motor Company to provide a 50/50 split for the engine replacement. This was greatly appreciated and was largely due to the customer service work done by Fort Mill Ford directly with Ford Corporate. I took time to message the Ford CEO to say thanks. Ford corporate provided me with a three (3) year warranty that has replaced my $2500 motor match many times over. This car has been troublesome but Fort Mill Ford has helped me with all of my requests. The latest service was to replace the transmission @ $7100. Second Review - Fort Mill Service I was very pleased and fortunate to have worked with Deforrest McCombs, (Service Advisor). Deforrest was more than helpful and even took a test drive at work completion to make sure the car was functioning properly. This is a young man that is an asset to both Fort Mill Ford and the Ford Motor Company. I owned and was president and CEO for a company that worked with automotive production for many years. If I was still running the previously mentioned business I would be hard pressed not to steal Deforrest from Ford. No worries, I am not interested in coming out of retirement. The work ethic and personality of Deforrest will take him far. Conclusion: I have had some trying times with my Lincoln but have been very pleased with both Fort Mill Ford and the Ford Motor Company. I will remain a loyal customer and buy American.
