I asked him where he took his vehicles and he said D and R. So that is where I went. I am very glad that is where I ended up. David got there about seven although they don't open until 8, I went in and told him my problem he said as soon as they opened they would look at my car and I was welcome to wait in the waiting room. At 8 they had several other vehicles there but took my car right in and told me what was wrong with it, gave me a very accurate estimate and began to fix my car. It only took them a couple hours to fix and I was on my way. While I was waiting, there were many people who came in to drop off their cars, I noticed that many of these people seemed to be repeat customers, for an oil change, tire rotation, just general maintenance not one person had any thing negative to say about this business, and I was able to talk to many of them while I was waiting. I found the men who worked there very knowledgeable and friendly. II found this business very upfront and honest. Given my situation that morning a less reputable company could have taken advantage of me. If I lived in the area I would use them for all my mechanical needs.

However, my last oil change turned in to a nightmare. Within 4 hours of getting maintenance service including an oil change and fluid top-off, my car started making some strange noises, and hazard codes started lighting on the dashboard (engine and a turtle- I thought the turtle was cute but turns out that turtle is the mean, snapping kind. You do NOT want to see that on your dash! ) I called, recapped the story, and they immediately came with a wrecker to tow and inspect my car. Much appreciated. However, during the course of all this, I spoke to 3-4 different receptionists, having to retell the incident over and over. Anytime I asked to speak directly to Randy, "he is too busy to talk. If he comes in the office, I will tell him you want to speak with him. But he is always in the back working, so that isn't likely." I'm sorry. WHAT?? I wasn't argumentative, I am familiar with this business as my father was a mechanic, I know coincidence isn't always causation. So I continue to be baffled at the lack of any communication on his (or the mechanic that worked on my car) part. They requested taking it to Specialty Auto for further diagnostics. They sent a video to Specialty of the horrible sound it was making before the engine completely stopped running...and one of the receptionists explained to me the car was already making that awful noise BEFORE the oil change. Why lie? No it wasn't. Furthermore, if the car was making a concerning sound they noticed while doing routine maintenance, why didn't anyone say to me, "hey, your car sounds awful. We should do further diagnostics." They have done that in the past and we have graciously accepted the offer and moved forward when and if they found anything wrong. Lying and completely refusing to speak to a customer when the engine of their car isn't working anymore after JUST getting an oil change is NOT the type of repair service I like. Turns out, it was a drive belt. Nothing to do with the engine nor the oil change. Something they surely could have helped with. But they didn't. Don't know why. A company that avoids problems by ignoring customers and allows staff to lie about the service is not the company for me. Sadly, we won't be back to Randy's Tire and Lube.

A few days later, I received a call from Cory and he told me the car was still available and that I could see it any time. I told him I wanted to see it a couple of hours from then and he told me to look for him when I get there. Unfortunately, when I got there, the car was not there. It turns out it had been loaned out to another customer and would not be back anytime sooner than that afternoon. Needless to say, I was quite upset that I had driven about forty miles to see this car that Cory had contacted me about and he failed to mention that it wasn't even on the lot! I told him I was done with his dealership and walked away. While in the parking lot, I was stopped by another salesperson named Walter Treimann and his boss, Ralph. They both managed to get me to calm down but I still didn't want to buy a car from their dealership. I thanked them and left. Walter called me back about an hour later and told me that he had the car back at their lot and he would appreciate me giving them another chance. He was very polite and seemed very apologetic about the earlier incident and I returned to the dealership. Walter and Ralph worked very hard to regain my trust and as a result, I bought the car in question and Walter even drove to my house the following day to personally deliver the check that was made out for my trade-in. He also returned some items I had forgotten in my car when I cleaned it out. As a result of Walter's perseverance and integrity, I am glad I returned to give them my business. I would have given five stars but I had to deduct one for my bad experience at the onset of my experience at Lugoff Toyota. Good job, Walter and Ralph. Thanks for a great car.

We clearly communicated that we wanted to buy the vehicle. That message was ignored. Over several days, we sent multiple follow-up messages. We called repeatedly, sent emails, and sent text messages. When we requested to work with a different salesperson, we were told we could not because we were already assigned to someone. Our explanation that the assigned salesperson was completely unresponsive was disregarded. When we finally made contact, we asked basic, routine questions that any buyer would reasonably expect answers to (warranty information, Carfax availability, etc.). Those questions also went unanswered or were delayed with no explanation. After more than two weeks of attempting to buy a vehicle, we made zero progress. We then contacted another dealership with a similar vehicle. In a single phone call lasting less than 15 minutes, we received all the information we had been requesting for weeks at Lugoff Toyota, negotiated a fair price, and completed the purchase. We were cash buyers. No trade-in. No financing. No complications. The sale should have been simple. Instead, Lugoff Toyota's lack of communication, professionalism, and basic customer service made it impossible to do business with them. This was the most frustrating and unprofessional car dealership experience we have ever had. The salesperson failed to provide basic vehicle information and failed to return calls, emails, or texts in any reasonable timeframe -- if at all. Over two weeks of our time was completely wasted. We will not return to Lugoff Toyota and cannot recommend them. Potential customers should proceed with caution. Management should take this issue seriously, as this experience reflects poorly on the dealership as a whole.

They even answered the phone and hung up the call twice. After a few more attempts dispatch finally answers the call with a rude demeanor. He didn't answer all of my questions because he decided to hang on me. I was not rude or belligerent at any point. I was just trying to understand the process because I had never been towed before. Fast forward to the next morning I find out that my car along with 2 other cars had been towed and that the apartment complex has Kingston MotoWerks come in at night a few times each week to tow cars. Second issue that if you are going to be dispatch don't have an attitude with people that are calling attempting to get information about their vehicle. Dispatch is also the owner and from what I have been informed he is rude with everyone. I do not recommend this business and recommend the residents of Saint Andrew's Commons to be aware. The entire process and partnership between Saint Andrew's Commons and Kingston MotoWerks is very sketchy.

I have been get and oil change and tire rotation at this dealership for two years now and never had a problem until now. I called early November to make an appointment to get my fuel pump replaced, the person I spoke to quoted me hundreds of dollars below the actual price of the service and part when I booked the appointment (I didn't find out I was given the wrong quote until a week after dropping off the car). When I made the appointment I specifically requested that they didn't do a diagnostic because I've had that service done 3 times and other dealerships could not replicate. I showed up to drop my car off 11/11 and the part was not ordered for the service I scheduled the appointment for. I reiterated to JJ one of the service advisors that I did not want the car to be diagnosed. He insisting that this is a different dealership and was asking me to "trust him" saying that he would handle it. I left my car and called three times over a week JJ kept saying that the car is still being looked at and always said that he would call back and never did. I called the dealership asking for a service manager but he just stepped out and Chris, a different service advisor, asked if there was anything he can help with. Chris took over as my service advisor. He ordered the part and made sure that the service was completed before I went on vacation. He even gave me a "discounted price because I was quoted wrong." When I got to the dealership to pick up my car 11/29. The physical key to my car was missing from the fob. I told Chris that when I dropped off the car it had the key in it. He quickly said "no it didn't and if I wanted to buy a new key the parts department can help me." I walked outside and thought about how I knew I dropped my car off with the key and fob so I went back inside and asked for the service manager. The service manager had a new key cut for me right away. I left the store and got in my car and saw the key that I did drop off with my car in the cupholder. I went back inside and let Chris know that I did in fact drop off the key and fob with my car and to return the key they just cut. Chris said nothing to me until I was waiting for the manager to get off the phone. Chris said I could kept the key because it couldn't be recut. I will never bring my car back here. These employees will make sure you leave with a higher bill, everything about this place is very sketchy. Do waste your time here.
