The place could use some maintenance and more coherent decoration, but it's really about the food. The food did not disappoint. We had the chicken parm which had a tender (not dried out) breast with just the right amount of breading. The spaghetti was not homemade but had good texture and there was plenty of sauce for everything. My wife had the linguini with bacon which had a great sauce and lots of veggies. Luigi's is just the kind of place I like to find. An older unpretentious building nothing fancy on the inside but great food. They have an amazing menu, but it only took us a few minutes to decide what we wanted. My wife got Grannies lasagna and I got the Spaghetti supreme. The food was excellent and the dish big enough to ask for a take-home box. They also have wonderful yeast rolls with garlic. We will be back the next time we're in town. read more

My husband and I I went there recently while we were out of town. We both had different things, with the exception of the rolls, and we thought those were really good. I had the Pasta in Vodka Sauce and I really did not like it very well. I've had one I've really liked before and so this one did not hit the spot. BUT I ordered a piece of grilled chicken on the side and I believe it was the BEST I've ever had, I would give it a five 5. I loved it and would definitely order it again. My husband ordered the Chicken Parmigiana and he thought it tasted very good. He said the chicken was extraordinarily crispy with a good taste and the pasta was perfectly al dente'. This place is good, especially in a small town. The service and food were excellent and I liked the casual vibe. Is it fancy? Nope. Is the food on point? Yep. High marks for the mussels diavalo and .chicken pesto pasta. The chicken parm was overcooked but still very good. We'll be back. read more

The food was really tasty. I was surprised based on the ambiance. The food is top shelf and the decor is not. But the bread is amazing! I might go back just for that! But the chicken marsala tastes like they make their own broth rather than use a nasty can of it! The salad was just lettuce in a bowl and the balsamic dressing was not good, and I love most I eat. The spaghetti works was quite tasty and they let my husband choose his pasta which made him even happier! I will be going back to try other menu items. Went there on a Sunday afternoon. Friendly staff, guess we missed the lunch rush. Quick service. Bread was excellent. Wife got Mama's Lasagna; I would say Mama Loved Cheese. I got the 3 pasta Trio. Both were excellent. My wife ended up finishing her the next day. There is the little family-owned Italian Restaurant in Boston called Vinney's, mind blowing Italian food. This place gives Boston (huge Italian population) a run for its money. Felt like I was back in the North End of Boston for sure. New Restaurant that deserves trying out. The food was pretty good. I'm not a big fan of Italian food but I always like trying new things and new restaurants. The bread served off the start was ok. It was slightly burnt and a little dry, but seeing how it's included it's not a deal breaker. For an appetizer I had the fried three cheese ravioli. It was certainly fresh, hot, and crispy. There wasn't anything going crazy with it, but it was a satisfying way to start things off. For the entree I have the Chicken Creamora. This was one of those things I have never had and it certainly did not disappoint. It was creamy with a great balance of chicken, pasta, and mushrooms. For dessert I had Cannoli. I admit I have also never had this and it was pretty good. It certainly was hard to cut through but aside from that it was a good sweat treat. Also as a side note the Sweet Tea was just perfect! As for the service, it was certainly quick to get a seat. I will say the waiter was a little slow to be welcoming, but halfway through they were much more inviting to speak to. They were very prompt on refills and checking in with how the meal was. Finally I would say the atmosphere left just a little to be desired, but it is very new and they are still working on the interior so I'm sure a better option can be made in that regard later down the road. In all it was a good meal however the price was a bit much for what the portions were. For one person it was ~$45 before a tip. However I would encourage giving it a chance cause it is certainly worth trying. read more

Nah, I'd recommend holding onto your cash. My wife got the Fettuccine Alfredo, and I went for the spaghetti with meat sauce. The bread looked like those cheap hamburger buns from Walmart and tasted like it. My spaghetti was a disaster--just a tiny scoop of sauce and no meat in sight. Honestly, it was so small you could've fit it in a coffee cup. All that for 14 bucks! My wife thought her Alfredo was decent, but she wouldn't order it again. If you want a better meal and value, check out Grumpys, Carlton's or Pasquale's down the street. You'll get more bang for your buck and way better food. read more

03/01/2025 My wife and I went to Luigi 's today as it was recommended by a friend. The Food was good but the service not so good. Our waiter never spoke to us other than to ask us what we wanted to drink. The waiter did come back to the table with refill on tea but he never spoke. I did not like the way their TIP system was set up you dont have a choice in giving a tip. This place was amazing. The outside isn't the best looking but the inside is fine. The service was great. The food was even better than I thought it would be. The rolls were great. Then we had the cheese sticks and marina. The marinara was really good. We ordered lobster ravioli which actually had lobster in it. Sometimes it has a little to none when you get it at a chain restaurant. Also ordered chicken Parmesan, which came with spaghetti. The chicken Parmesan was good. It could use just a little more seasoning. The spaghetti was perfect. I would highly recommend this place. OMG where to start? First of all, my wife and I were so looking forward to trying this place when they first opened. We usually go to Pasquali's down the road but we're always up for trying something new. We arrived at around 4pm on a Tuesday. I was still worried there would be a problem parking as I have seen other reviews but there was pretty much no one there. I think 3 or 4 tables. We were seated right away, and they brought out the garlic rolls immediately. (Now, let me interject something here - another reason I wanted to try this place was to feature them in one of my YouTube videos. That's important to know for what I am about to mention) The rolls were ok. Not very garlicy and somewhat dry. Ok, just nothing to write home about. As soon as the rolls arrived, I got my camera out and my wife and I started the video. About 2 sentences in, the server came over and interrupted us, so we had to shut down. He apologized and was very aware of what we were doing but no big deal. We ordered the mozzarella stick appetizer to start. He left and we started the video again. It took a couple of takes because of the lighting in the room. By the time I was reviewing the garlic rolls in the camera, he came over again with the mozzarella sticks. Very clearly knowing what I was doing, and he interrupted us one more time. By that point, I was over doing the video and just moved on to the meal. The mozzerella sticks were good. Very hot inside. The marinara sauce they served was also hot. A lot of places give you cold marinara sauce. For my entree, I ordered the veal parmigiana with spaghetti. I did tell them I wanted a meat sauce and not marinara. The food came out pretty quick and look good. I tried the spaghetti first. The meat sauce was kind of odd tasting. Not like a traditional Italian meat sauce. But the main problem was the pasta. It was still somewhat raw. I asked the server if they always serve the pasta al-dente, and he said yes that what the customers like. Not this customer. I want my pasta cooked, not crunchy. He did offer to get me new pasta but by then I was pretty much over the whole outing. I asked for the check. He dropped it on the table and went to get some credit card machine. I didn't even have my card out of my wallet yet and he was back at the table ready to take money. The whole ordeal just made us feel like we were being rushed. He interrupted my video twice. The first time I can let pass but he knew what I was doing and still did it again. Not our favorite Italian place in Cullman, we will be returning to Pasquale's in the future. As a side note, the veal was good, and the sweet tea was also decent but as I said, we just felt like we were being rushed and when we left, there were only 3 tables taken so it's not like there was a long line at the door waiting to get in. I've visited Luigi's twice now and every time I go past it now I'm gonna want to stop. Lunch specials are great and affordable. The people are friendly and make sure you are taken care of not much more you could ask of them. Great food and a very nice small town atmosphere I love! We were seated quickly after arriving. At our table we were brought some hot delicious smelling and tasting rolls.
