Overall, Luigi's hits that sweet spot of authentic flavors, hearty dishes, and friendly service. Definitely a place I'd recommend and will be coming back to! Great location for family gatherings great ambiance. Our server Peter was very friendly and gave us great food recommendations.

Amazing location in a small town. Please stop by if you're hungry and traveling! Great atmosphere, excellent customer service and delicious food! My husband created his own pasta bowl with ravioli, pomodoro sauce and added fresh mushrooms. It was delicious and served hot. I ordered the Donatello plate and it was also delicious. They put a good amount of sundried tomatoes. The portion was enough to fill you up and take some home. We ordered ice waters and I loved how they came with a slice of lemon. Shows how attentive to detail they are. The clam chowder was the soup of the day and it was pretty good too. However, after a couple spoonfuls it was a bit salty. Still delicious! Best part is that you can pay with your phone by scanning a QR code and the prices aren't too expensive for the quality of food you're getting. Highly recommend going here!! Bathrooms are clean and spacious too :)

Prices are fair. Food is Good!

Reservation for party of 12. Promptly seated upon arrival. Liked that kids drinks were served in cups with lid and straw All meals were served at the same time. HOT! Ben and his staff are professional and will help you with smiles. This makes for a pleasant environment to enjoy delicious food while visiting with out of town family. WE WILL RETURN. I just noticed my last review was years ago. I've eaten here many times since then. Just didnt post reviews. If something was terrible I would have said so but everything has been delicious! . lol I forgot to take photos of food this visit. Portions were huge Liked that because now I have lunch for the next day. For TO GO ORDERS - If you're in a rush call in your order ahead of time. Depending on time of day and or day of the week they may be busy but still happy to help you.

Didn't know what to expect but my oh my, the eggplant parmagiana was incredible! The side of sautéed vegetables was well seasoned and the right amount of salty. I went with the the side of penne pasta, though another curious option was mashed potatoes. Portions were big and service was just fine. Seats were comfy and bathrooms were clean. Would highly recommend if you're in need of carbs in Gonzales.

You guys get 4 stars based on your history of great food. The steaks are good, the wings are amazing, even the bread is superb. Today I got a large pizza for my children and I, and it was raw-ish. Doughy. I don't get it, usually you guys are remarkable, something must've been wrong today. Maybe another 5-10 would've cooked it throughout and made a difference. Putting it in the oven to see if it cooks all the way through.

Great local wine selection. They serve many by the glass and let you try it before you commit to a full bottle.

Heading south to Paso Robles with my dad and he loves great Italian comfort food - so do I! We found this restaurant on Yelp and were surprised that the small town of Gonzalez had such a well reviewed place. Anyway, we were greeted with smiles and sat at a booth in the bar. For those who care: they have cushioned seating, so no hard seats or benches (my senior dad appreciates that!). Stephanie provided great service and one of the sons (I did not catch his name) of the family who owns the restaurant walked us through the wine list and let us try a great chardonnay from the Santa Lucia Highlands - the primary AVA of the region. We ended up getting a bottle of rosé from Manzoni, another nearby winery. Delicious, crisp rosé of pinot. We split a side salad and an order of spaghetti and tomato sauce - the family's recipe. It was simple, delicious, and comforting! Too much for us - glad we split it, but we couldn't eat it all (ok, I could have eaten all of mine, but I would have had to take a nap in the booth before leaving, LOL). Even better, the restaurant is open all day - we got there around 2:15 and were glad they weren't closed. So many menu options though, next time I'll sure try something else. The burgers looked great. They also have a happy hour! Specials every day, big menu of them, including amazing sounding homemade desserts. They also have vegan and vegetarian options, or can make things vegan if needed. Overall, a great experience - family owned and operated, real true Italian-American cuisine, and a nice, clean and cool environment (it is an old bank). We'll be back when in the area!

    Calamari garlic with double vegetables

Came here on a Monday afternoon for lunch with my husband and it was nice and quite. We ordered a artichoke bisque to start (sadly I forgot to take a picture of it.) Bit trust me this is a MUST HAVE!! Soup is so rich and creamy with flavor, sometimes I just come to buy large containers of it to have for dinner on a cold day. My husband ordered the garlic calamari with double veggies and all I can say is WOW!! So full of flavor and his favorite part was the large chunks of garlic!!! It definitely had that home cooked feel that something your grandma would make for you that had a ton of flavor. I ordered the calamari piccata with mashed potatoes. This was so delicious and I loved the amount of capers it came with. The flavors were so rich and creamy. I have to say I'd definitely order this again!! Our waitress was really nice and super attentive.

The restaurant has a great drink selection and a great menu. We were pleasantly surprised to learn they offer a Tuesday dinner special that includes an appetizer, entrée, and dessert for only $32! This menu also had a special drink selection. I ordered the house salad, prawn risotto, and chocolate lava cake. The salad was very fresh with spring mix and butter lettuce, which I especially enjoy, and it was topped with a light vinaigrette style house dressing that was light and delicious. The prawn risotto was creamy, flavorful, and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. The chocolate lava cake was rich and very chocolatey, a bit too rich for my personal taste, but still enjoyable. It also came with vanilla gelato, which was delicious. As a table, we also ordered the tableside tiramisu, which was such a fun and unique experience. I am a tiramisu connoisseur, so anytime I see it on the menu, I ordered it. It is my favorite dessert. Although this was not my favorite one, I very much enjoyed the experience. I will mention the espresso needs a little more time to fully soak into the ladyfingers, but the presentation and experience alone made it worth trying. The ambiance was lovely with nice background music, and the service was attentive and welcoming. Everyone in our party truly enjoyed their meal, especially the birthday girl. Overall, Patria is a fantastic dinner spot in Salinas, and I would absolutely return and highly recommend it.

I'm glad to report that last night had some music in the bar, it was soft and sounded like Italian folk (Frank Sinatra would've been nice too) but it was perfectly fine because it broke up the atmosphere in a positive way. Calamari appetizer was great and my pork chop was too. Service was equally great as it was prompt and accompanied. I'll be back soon, so if you haven't tried Patria yet, you should.

When we visited it was very busy so I would definitely recommend getting a reservation. I loved the decor and seating. The staff was so pleasant and had good recommendations. We started with some wine I had a delicious moscato and my hubby had a Cabernet. For an appetizer we had the fried asparagus and it was so fresh and full of flavor. The breading was not overly powerful or too much. They had 3 dipping sauces. I really liked the basil one, hubby thought it was too powerful. The lemon aioli was also very good but I absolutely loved the basil one. The red one was just okay to me but hubby liked that one the most. For our entrees I had the Saffron Seafood Pasta and hubby had the Carbonara Pasta dish. For mine it tasted like the seafood was just delivered right out of the ocean. The shrimp was huge, the scallops were plentiful and there was a lot of squid. The papardelle pasta was out of this world. Briney and creamy in the best way. Hubby enjoyed his dish but one bite of mine and he had food envy. We both agreed that tomatoes in my dish weren't needed. But it didn't take away my enjoyment of the dish. For dessert hubby had the tiramisu and I had the San Pietro sundae, minus whip cream, a vanilla gelato with pistachios, caramel coated almonds and salted caramel. It was so delicious, creamy and incredibly tasty. We will definitely be back to try more delicious food.

I tried a mussel and the sauce was excellent. Gnocchi (small $22, large $44): I was hesitant about ordering gnocchi because I never like the gnocchi I've ordered at other Italian restaurants. Never thought me a gnocchi snob, but here I am. But other reviews raved about Il Tegamino's gnocchi (our waitress included) so I did it. Ok fine it's the best gnocchi I've ever had. Pillowy soft, straight out of the oven, still sizzling and bubbling when it was placed in front of me. It was cheesy and potatoey without either flavor overpowering the other, and the mushroom truffle sauce is IT. It needs the sauce. I ordered the large and had leftovers to share with my mom, but you bet I could've finished it. I would come back just for this! We picked this place expecting it to be a treat and a bit of a splurge, so we expected the prices. Our server was lovely; my friend loves sweeter white wines but a Moscato wasn't on the menu.
