The food was incredible. I got the carbonara which had very nice al dente noodles that are hard to compare anything I've tried to. The sauce was hella creamy and the bacon added just enough flavor to not be overpowering. The calamari was delicious and both dips were tasty. My gf got the lasagna and it was so thick and creamy with lots of meat and the fresh mozzarella in it and on it was fire. The cheesy bread it came with was perfect for dipping into the marinara that surrounded the whole dish. Prices are a reflection of the quality for sure at this place. We'll be back

Chicken Parmesan. The picture doesn't do it justice. Pink juices ran out. The Chicken piccata was even worse.

I received RAW CHICKEN here at two separate occasions! I gave them a second chance but this place is awful. Everything is sub par yet extremely expensive. This is not quality Italian food. I honestly don't think it qualifies as authentic Italian cuisine. You'd think for the prices it would be quality. NASTY food posing as Italian food. EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK OR SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO OUT OF TOWN FOR QUALITY AND SAFE FOOD.

I went there for dinner with my family. The food was great! I will definitely return. The chef was accommodating which was a plus!

Service was prompt and super friendly. Loved the bread service, which is hard to find these days. Everything was delicious. Will return for sure.

This was our 2nd time dining at Capo Signora, I've tried the chicken carbonara, grilled chicken panini, clam chowder, calamari while my husband tried the lasagna, pepperoni pizza and the enselada fresca. I highly recommend this restaurant, definitely try this family run restaurant. Everything we tried was amazing, the sauces are homemade and creamy, the clam chowder was divine, you can not go wrong trying their desserts as well, we've had the cheesecake and their chocolate mousse came, we found our favorite restaurant in Hollister!

I came here with a friend a few weeks ago with high hopes. Upon walking in we were not greeted at all until I finally said something. It was not busy when we went but the wait staff were more concerned about their gossip. As we were seated we were informed about their Friday appetizer deal of $2 off so we ordered two. I ordered the meraviglie del mare soup which on their website and on the menu was $28. When we got our check I had questions as to why $4 was added to my meal. To me it's a scam they offer a $2 discount for appetizers yet add the difference to your meal. The food was not that great it lacked a lot of flavor and spices. The kitchen staff had their music super loud so it took away from the ambiance. The big picture of the owner is tacky in my opinion but then again the name of the restaurant in Italian is boss lady/lady boss so there's a sense of entitlement. I did provide some honest suggestions to provide tools to get the crab meat out as it was the messiest part of the meal. I do a lot of crab boils as we are a fishing family and I have never had that hard of a time trying to get the meat out of the shell. It was super mushy so I left a lot of the crab aside. I was really expecting a five star experience especially with the renovations done to this place but honestly with the scam of adding more money to a meal to make up the difference of an appetizer special just doesn't fly for me. I will never go back to this place because the people of Hollister are hard working and don't deserve to be blind sided like that. Note to owner train your staff properly. When I mentioned the price difference your staff was rude and arrogant. It wasn't about the money it's about the principle.

We tried this place for breakfast. It was great. Way too much food and that is not a bad thing, we have teenagers that loved the leftovers. Our service was quick as we were the only table in there. Will try lunch sometime.

    Egg Benedict

Overpriced for what you get. Ordered breakfast from Door Dash. Eggs Benedict for $18.00 and this is what I got. No hollandaise sauce, dry canadian bacon and none of the sides that were advertised.

    Carbonara Pasta was REAAAALLLLYY good.

By this point in the trip, we were fully committed to our "tapas style everything" philosophy. Why order one entrée each when you can create a tiny feast and slowly steal bites off each other's plates with zero shame? Over the two evenings, we shared the Berry Burrata Salad, Beet & Spinach Salad, cauliflower, Seared Ahi Tuna, Dungeness crab cakes, Angel Hair Pasta with shrimp, and lava cake. The pasta was perfectly al dente, the kind of texture that makes Italians nod approvingly from a distance. The crab cakes were flavorful and satisfying, and the beet salad thankfully avoided the tragic fate of being "healthy but boring." The lava cake was gloriously decadent and absolutely understood its assignment. The ahi tuna was good, though I wished for a bit more flavor to stand up to the wasabi situation happening on the plate. The Berry Burrata Salad was the only dish that felt a little sleepy. The berries seemed more decorative than committed. In a region overflowing with gorgeous local strawberries, I wanted the salad to lean harder into its fruity potential. Cocktail-wise, the pomegranate margarita was refreshing, balanced, and dangerously easy to keep sipping. Service was a mixed bag between the two nights. The first evening, our server gave off strong "this table again?" energy, and we had to remind her about bread. Meanwhile, one of the chefs stopped by to warmly thank us for dining there, which completely shifted the tone and genuinely stood out. Night two was a different experience altogether. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made the evening feel much more relaxed and welcoming. The space itself is lovely, warm, comfortable, with that slightly old-school elegance that makes you want to linger over another drink and pretend you are not in your hiking clothesq

Located right off of 156b in a decent sized parking lot amongst random businesses, this place is kinda hidden but you'll be glad it's here if you can't go far for lunch. I ordered the turkey sandwich without tomatoes or onions, so it was kinda plain but tasted pretty good. They have a combo option to get chips, a drink and a cookie with your sandwich for a pretty good price. They also have pasta in the fridge that they heat up or you can take it home and heat yourself. I got the beef ravioli and it was actually cheese inside but the sauce had beef in it, I guess that counts? A few of the bottom raviolis were stuck together and hard around the edges but it was good for what it was although a bit pricey. The ladies at the counter were very nice and friendly. There also seems to be a ton of regulars here which I appreciate, gotta love loyalty to small businesses.

White tablecloths, cozy booths, elegant decor, smooth music floating in the background... the whole place has classic old-school steakhouse energy in the best possible way. The bar area was already lively when we arrived around 4:50 p.m., and little by little the dining room filled up too. For a small town, this place was humming. Always a reassuring sign when hungry hikers are making important dinner decisions. Carmen, our server, was absolutely superb. Warm, professional, genuinely friendly, and her recommendations were spot on. The kind of service that quietly elevates the whole evening without making a performance out of it. We shared a ribeye with peppercorn sauce, a pear and prosciutto salad, and a deeply decadent chocolate dessert because apparently our bodies decided we had "earned it" after the trails. Honestly? Fair. The steak was beautifully prepared, flavorful and satisfying. The salad balanced everything nicely, and dessert fully committed to richness without apology. The only small miss for me was the mashed potatoes, which could have used a touch more creaminess. They seemed emotionally reserved. I also had a Manhattan that was expertly crafted, smooth, balanced, and exactly the kind of cocktail you want while sinking into a booth after miles of hiking. We genuinely enjoyed ourselves here. It felt less like dinner and more like a reward ceremony for surviving the trails, the sun, and our knees negotiating every downhill section.

So a few months before the wedding, we decided to go and try them for dinner. Everything was really good and the service was really nice. We inquired about their catering and they gave us a pamphlet that showed different packages and catering prices. It took a little bit to get in contact with them but when I finally managed to get somebody, it went smooth. From there they gave us a more accurate quote breakdown of what we wanted. We picked the Tri-tip and Chicken option. It came with pasta, salad, garlic mashed potatoes, dinner rolls and butter. We also chose 2 appetizers for the cocktail hour. They were the meatballs and crackers with assorted cheese. We also chose 2 servers to help with the buffet and bussing tables.. The day came and they got there on time. They laid out everything nicely in the chafing pans. The servers were very attentive. They served, cleared plates, threw everything away. The food was delicious! All our guests were raving about it for days to come. Especially the pasta. We had a lot of leftovers so we ate wedding food for like 2-3 days. I highly recommend Paines for your catering needs.
