I got the calabreze pasta and asked if they could give it to me with spaghetti noodles and they were very accommodating! It was delicious the sauce was pretty thin but when i added cheese it thickened. Flavor was really good! Partner got the carbonara pasta same thing with the sauce quite thin but he loved it. We got the tiramasu at the end it was SUPER good! Staff was great waitress was young i think training wasnt sure how to use the phone for ordering but very nice and attentive. I do not enjoy this place. When it first opened, it was great but each subsequent time has been unpleasant. IMO, the portions are much too big and the prices (for the quality you get) are way too high. Last time I went and got the filet, it was so awful I spit it out. The service is slow. I mean like 30 minutes waiting on a check slow. If they would curate their menu to a few special items and go back to super fresh food I'd consider trying again. I had the worst experience of my life at this place right before Christmas! I would give it zero stars if there were an option. I ordered my food through Uber Eats and went to pick it up myself. When I arrived, the lady at the counter told me that someone else had already picked up my order. I was shocked. How could that happen? Did they have proof that someone could randomly take my order? She simply replied, "I don't know; it's not here. Someone else picked it up." Then she looked around and eventually found my order but refused to give it to me. I showed her my order history from my Uber Eats app and my account name, yet she still wouldn't hand it over. I asked her to cancel the order if she didn't want to give it to me, but she refused again. She still needss more prove. I stood there, not knowing what to do, until a DoorDash pick up guy came in and she even told that guy to talk to me. I showed the guy my order history and I told her that I was not using DoorDash and that I didn't have the same receipt. I repeatedly showed her my order history and my Uber Eats account name. I felt like a fool trying to convince her I wasn't trying to steal someone else's meal. I almost cried. Finally, the DoorDash driver explained to her that it was a different receipt for Uber Eats. At last, she handed my order to me. I can't help but wonder if she was treating me this way because of my race. The food was incredible. I got the carbonara which had very nice al dente noodles that are hard to compare anything I've tried to. The sauce was hella creamy and the bacon added just enough flavor to not be overpowering. The calamari was delicious and both dips were tasty. My gf got the lasagna and it was so thick and creamy with lots of meat and the fresh mozzarella in it and on it was fire. The cheesy bread it came with was perfect for dipping into the marinara that surrounded the whole dish. Prices are a reflection of the quality for sure at this place. We'll be back read more

How do you mess up an easy order of cinnamon banana pancakes w a side order of hash browns? Send pancakes with berries and whipped cream and leave off the hash browns you paid 6$ for. Don't include syrup too, since that's not common with pancakes... This place has turned into a joke since new ownership has taken over. I came here with a friend a few weeks ago with high hopes. Upon walking in we were not greeted at all until I finally said something. It was not busy when we went but the wait staff were more concerned about their gossip. As we were seated we were informed about their Friday appetizer deal of $2 off so we ordered two. I ordered the meraviglie del mare soup which on their website and on the menu was $28. When we got our check I had questions as to why $4 was added to my meal. To me it's a scam they offer a $2 discount for appetizers yet add the difference to your meal. The food was not that great it lacked a lot of flavor and spices. The kitchen staff had their music super loud so it took away from the ambiance. The big picture of the owner is tacky in my opinion but then again the name of the restaurant in Italian is boss lady/lady boss so there's a sense of entitlement. I did provide some honest suggestions to provide tools to get the crab meat out as it was the messiest part of the meal. I do a lot of crab boils as we are a fishing family and I have never had that hard of a time trying to get the meat out of the shell. It was super mushy so I left a lot of the crab aside. I was really expecting a five star experience especially with the renovations done to this place but honestly with the scam of adding more money to a meal to make up the difference of an appetizer special just doesn't fly for me. I will never go back to this place because the people of Hollister are hard working and don't deserve to be blind sided like that. Note to owner train your staff properly. First things first, if you are going to open an Italian restaurant, research Italian restaurants. Walk inside the ambience is great however, the hostess is not so great. The drinks basically filled our table before the food even came, the tables are tiny, even though there's plenty of space. They give you complementary bread, but instead of it being toasted, it just seemed stale. The calamari was good but the entire time we were having lunch you could hear the waitstaff, talking and music playing from their phones. Food was decent but again hard to hold a conversation when they're talking louder than you. We ordered tiramisu, and they brought the wrong dessert out. Fail fail, and more fail. Overall, it was Hollister special. Won't come back again :( especially since the price of the food was so high!! read more

We had an unexpected family get together this past Sunday and boy did we get the party going with Capo Signora, they completed our dinner for us, without hesitation. We called in a panic but the young lady that answers assured us they could help, we ordered several orders of Lasagne, Alfredo, and several salads with bread and also they added some cheese bread, everything was tasty and hot, we really cannot thank them enough for taking care of our party on such short notice. This was my first time getting take out from this restaurant. My husband ordered take out here once before on the opening day. I ordered the Calabrese pasta and husband ordered the Lasagna. The Calabrese was flavorful with a bit spice, which I like. It had the right amount of sauce, not overly sauced and not dry. The Lasagna sauce was rich and meaty like a bolognese. The lasagna itself was cheesy and saucy with multiple layers. I tried a couple of bites and thought it tasted really good. The portions were pretty big. I'm eating the other half of the Calabrese for lunch. Husband said he could've shared his lasagna but he didn't, he ate it all and enjoyed a food coma. He picked something else, but then she returned a minute later saying, "Oh, we found some ravioli!" So, he changed his order back. When the food arrived, the presentation was just awful. My chicken looked like it had been boiled, and they served it on a hot dog bun not exactly what I expected for a chicken parm. The ravioli dish was even worse five tiny raviolis, a watery sauce with no flavor. The ambiance didn't help either. The place had these harsh white fluorescent lights that made it feel unwelcoming, and there was a huge, strange picture on the wall of a woman holding a flower. It was like something out of a weird shrine not exactly the vibe I was hoping for during Dinner. The only positive was the Corona beer it was nice and cold, which I appreciated. Don't bother going here. The food isn't worth the price which is over priced. $25 for lasagna is robbery. The pizza selection is very limited. The pizza was doughy and almost under cooked. My chaps and I had heard through the grapevine, about this brand new Italian restaurant in the Hollister area. When we arrived to the restaurant we were greeted by this wonderful waitress, I believe her name was Yahira. After greeting us with the most heartwarming and welcoming smile she helped explain the various courses and types of food on the menu. It was a splendid environment that was only reinforced by the feel of the restaurant. The ambiance of the restaurant was quite astounding, the lighting, the decorations felt very at place with the theme of the restaurant and my chaps and I felt rather comfortable. We were even seated next to a portrait of the owner, the "Boss Lady" as the restaurant is called. The restaurant just exuded from every orifice the love care and passion the owner has put into it. I've been rambling on too long let me get to the food. I know I'm a rather petite fellow but my appetite is ravenous, so I ordered numerous meals to not only satisfy my raging hunger, but to get a proper feel of the food as well. I ordered the pancakes de ricotta the hash browns, bacon, and eggs. The food was scrumptious, I left no sliver, no morsel of food on that plate. Every calorie that was presented to my face was consumed in an unrivaled fury by my mouth. The end result looked like a vacant apartment after evicting a single mother of 4. Although most would be satisfied with this meal I knew I had to try to more Italian centered portion of the menu. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo as it's a staple of every Italian restaurant. When I tell you from the moment I bit into the first forkful my Italian ancestors possessed my body and flowed through me just to experience Italian food this good. After obliterating the fettuccine, I looked at my hands and I found them in this configuration. Now to the uncultured this is often referred to as the Italian hands. I suspect our server was inexperienced - likely resulting in all the negatives of our experience. The young lady who greeted us was welcoming and gave us our choice of tables. Now in our 70s we eat light and ordered a Caesar salad and pizza to share. The young man who took our order was not aware vegetarian pizza was on the menu and fumbled with our special order of tomato sauce instead of pesto. Our salad came in a single bowl (expected) but we were not offered plates to facilitate sharing. More problematic was that the salad was swimming in dressing (good flavor). I like much more dressing than my wife and this was way too much for me. I can't say if this is typical or an error. At the restaurant I worked in 50 years ago, servers prepared the salads so, if an error, likely the server's. Our pizza (tasted ok - but might have been better with pesto sauce) came without plates. I never saw our server again and could not catch the eye of the young lady serving other tables. It has always seemed that the first thing servers are taught is NEVER look at a customer at a table not in your station. read more

It wasn't busy either, it was a weekend night and we were one of only a few tables. The main course was not great, slightly worse than what you would get from the grocery store freezer section. Two of us ordered the same dish (lasagna) and the tomato sauce was very salty and sour, additionally my portion was 2-3 times smaller than the portion of the other person. Their dish resembled lasagna while mine looked like lasagna soup almost. The interior is very brightly lit and feels slightly like a women's clothing store. It may be nicer if they dimmed the lights and made it more comfortable. Would only go back for the bread and oil. read more
