I made a reservation for one on an August Thursday night and had a good time. I was given the choice of inside or outside and I chose inside, where every table was full. It might've been the wrong choice though, because it was very warm in there. There was no air flow, no air conditioning. I'm not sure if that's normal or not but it was a little uncomfortable. I got a 6 oz pour of Sauvignon blanc and the server said he'd send some bread over. I waited quite a bit for that bread. The server was quick in listing the specials, which sounded incredible, but my heart was set on the rigatoni al Ragu di carne. I ordered it and it came out piping hot even before the bread got there. It was insanely hot. I had to let it sit and stir it around for quite a bit before I could pick up a bite and blow on that and try it. I was glad they had salt and pepper on the table because I thought it needed some. It was good and seemed authentic but it wasn't spectacular in my mind and didn't seem to have as much meat in the meat sauce as I would've preferred. I will definitely come again but will try something else next time.

This place is fantastic. The fiocchi, the mozzarella and prosciutto, the specials - you seriously can't go wrong. I went with someone who was raving about this place so I had high expectations, and they were still met! Price was what you would expect and not unreasonable. Servers were nice and informative, and their pronunciation was even pretty good (I'm Italian myself). Not only would I recommend going, but I'm already making plans to go again myself!

The food was delicious and cooked perfectly. The waiters and waitresses were extremely polite and helpful. The ambiance was upscale rustic.

I had a craving for Italian food and found Maurizio's on Yelp. It was a drive from San Jose to Morgan Hill, but it was well worth it. It's a small, cozy restaurant that has pretty paintings and interesting decorations. The restaurant offers different wines as well. There were a few specials of the day that were not listed on the menu, our server gave us their various descriptions, so my 90 year old mom ordered the swordfish special with vegetables, my seafood linguine with clams, mussels, shrimp and squid, was initially probably pomodoro (tomato-based), but I ordered it with Alfredo sauce. The linguine in my dish, according to our server, Daniel, has been freshly made at the restaurant. My very favorite pasta is homemade pasta, and Daniel listed about five different pastas that the restaurant makes fresh daily. If you do come here and order, be sure to order a classic dish with fresh homemade pasta, it's really delicious. The lunch menu has one long list of dishes to choose from. We were given fresh, sliced and warm bread served with garlic cloves in olive oil, but we also asked for butter, so we ate the bread with both. Of course, Dr. Gundry keeps telling the public that butter has butyric acid (?) that is good for our gut lining, so we ate the butter pats with the fresh bread. Mom ordered the soup special of the day as an appetizer, which happened to be clam chowder. I had a spoonful, it was quite delicious, she finished the entire cup. While we were there, a party of twenty one people came in, so it must be a favorite place for local office parties. It's a cozy restaurant, so do call before you bring a large party for reservations, since the holiday season is starting. There's parking on the street and down the alley next to the restaurant, but I'm not sure if it is part of the restaurant parking. Some construction is going on behind the place, which has probably taken over the existing parking spaces. The other server came by after our meal and asked us to try out their desserts, so I ordered the lemon ice cream pie with meringue topping. Mom and I shared one slice, it was delicious, the server said he had made all of the desserts. He did say that there was tiramisu, one of my favorites, cannolis and other desserts, espresso (coffee), so make sure to get your dessert here as well. Definitely do check this restaurant out, the food is great, and it's a nice cozy place to bring a loved one, friend, or to have a holiday meal.

This spot is always on point! Went here on a Friday evening and it wasn't too busy, thankfully, my friend was able to get us a table for 4. Landon was our server and he was friendly, helpful and reminded me of Jason Ritter! Hhhaa, that's a compliment btw. He asked us about dessert but we were too full but he did give us tips on where to go if we changed our mind. The ice cream rolls place he mentioned was popular and said he visits frequently! On to the food. We ordered: 2 tortellinis with prosciutto: 10/10 1 pork shanks special: 12/10 Never did I think to get pork shank at an Italian restaurant but I didn't regret it; it was soooo good!! 1 rigatoni (a classic): 10/10 There's parking on the street and I believe a lot close by...easily accessible. The place itself is cozy aka small but it works.

Had such a wonderful experience at Maurizio's! The service was fantastic, warm, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. The outdoor seating is absolutely lovely and creates the perfect atmosphere to enjoy a meal. Great food, great service, and a beautiful place to relax and dine. I'll definitely be coming back!

I believe we came here once before, but it was long ago. We came recently on a Saturday night at around 5:15, so we weren't sure if we could get in. They were kinda busy, but had seats available outside. It was a cold night, but with the heaters, it was okay. I had the rolled past with Italian ham in a tomato cream sauce. It was very good. My husband had the tortellini with Italian ham & spinach, also very good. We started with the beet salad with citrus and arugula and loved it. Their bread comes with roasted garlic in olive oil, and it was good too. The employees we encountered were all friendly, which is a great plus. In the past, we hav found some restaurants in MH to be a bit snooty. We will come here again!

Used to be a great place to go! They are very quick and efficient, I didn't like my glass of wine and they had no problem taking it off and giving me other samples to try. Very family friendly our reservation was at 5 PM and we're out by 610 after having appetizer dinner and dessert! Highly recommend After having a great experience 10 days later I had a reservation for Christmas Day. I was excited as I wouldn't have to cook and to my surprise I arrived at the restaurant with it being closed. I called the next day which is today and all the manager said was that he would call the company they use for reservations because they were supposed to be closed. No apologies or any acknowledgment that my Christmas dinner was ruined. Do you not want to give any money back to this business

Maurizio's was delicious! The restaurant is cozy and Teah my waitress was so attentive and nice. The raviolis just melted in my mouth, they were cooked to perfection, and the sauce was so good I was scraping my plate clean with my bread in the end. The bread was served with a delish garlic confit. Overall great experience

Street parking, small restaurant, so not really great for a huge group. Unless you want outside dining, then that's pretty good for a group. Service was amazing. Loved the way our waitress explained the food to us and all the options. Food was amazing! Every dish was delicious. I'm definitely coming back when I'm in the area.

Holy WOW! If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! We were visiting on a weekend trip from Indiana. We love to try local, so decided to see if we could get in to this spot. We were not able to book online and had to wait for the restaurant to open. Thankfully, we were able to snag a late reservation. When we arrived, the restaurant was very busy, but it was an organized kind of busy. You could tell that the waiters knew what they were doing! Our waiter was awesome! He listed some of his favorite dishes and even shared an off menu favorite of his that my husband ended up ordering. Neither of our dishes had a marinara sauce, so my husband ordered some on the side to try with the delicious bread. It was so good. We also had the bread pudding, which our waiter recommended. That may have been my favorite dish of our whole trip. Our seat was right by the front door. I made note of at least six different people that stopped at the kitchen window to thank the cooks for their meal. That says something about a restaurant! We would have come back a second night if they were open on Sundays. It was the perfect combination of cozy, romantic, hole in the wall, and BEST ITALIAN I've had in a long time. I hope that we revisit the Morgan Hill area as I'll be sure to come back to Maurizio's!

It's Amore!!? I was becoming a little skeptical because my first few food experiences in Morgan Hill weren't the best but Maurizo's definitely swooped in and saved the day!! this is most definitely an authentic Italian restaurant, from the bread to the dessert. It's a quaint little spot in downtown that is small and homey. I had the mussels to start and my friend had the clam chowder. Both delicious. The mussels could've been a tad bit more flavorful but that would've only added to the overall taste. I appreciated the freshness of the fish. My friend found the clam chowder divinely creamy. It was definitely filling but still left room for the main course. We both opted for one of the house specials for our mains. I had the steak and gnocchi pasta topped with arugula, drizzled in balsamic vinegar. My friend had the seafood linguine with the white wine sauce. The flavor combination of the steak dish .... DIVINE. The seafood linguine was simple but absolutely delicious. Dessert was an affogato and the bread pudding. It would've been hard to ruin the evening at this point () but they did not disappoint, thankfully. Overall, our experience at Maurizo's was amazing. The service was top tier. Our waitress, Ahimara, patiently helped us to pick the perfect bottle of wine to pair with our meal and consistently touched base with us throughout our meal.

Love Maurizo's for date night. Very small restaurant with delicious food and great service . Highly recommend the burrata & prosciutto appetizer. The sun-dried tomato pesto just takes it to the next level.

Would you be able to ascomodate a group of 20+ for dinner? Set menu? September 2025

Yes, you would want to call ahead so they could reserve a section for you but space wise it could accommodate.

How much do they charge for a corking fee if you bring a bottle of wine?

We paid $20 per bottle for corkage this evening.

Do they have gluten free options?

They've got great gluten-free pasta options available; he imports them from Italy, and they're very tasty. Since they do take a bit longer to cook, be sure to inform your server as soon as possible so they can time things properly.

The service was fantastic, glasses constantly being refilled, asked us if we wanted more bread and butter and our server made some great recommendations "5 Stars" The Food: #1. They gave us 2 nice warm bread rolls with a room temperature salted butter cube. The bread at first tasted salty but then my palate caught up and oh snap! this bread was good!! 5 Stars! #2. The server recommended the beef Wellington. "I ordered it med rare, it came to me med rare" it comes with mashed potatoes and longstem broccoli with cherry tomatoes, and a wine/vinegar reduction for the Wellington. The broccoli had a nice crispness to it and were seasoned perfectly, the cherry tomatoes added some brightness. The mashed potatoes were silky smooth and paired perfectly with the Wellington. NOW THE BEEF WELLINGTON: OH MY .....GOSH!!! My eyes rolled back into my head, it was so good!! The beef was as soft as butter, I could have used a butter knife to cut it (not kidding) and it melted in my mouth. The seasoning with the dough and the spinach with the mushrooms inside nearly caused a wet dream (if you get my point) "and don't even get me started on their reduction sauce for the Wellington!" The waiter walked up to me and smiled and said "and I quote"... gives you goosebumps, right? Oh he knew, HE KNEW!! 5++++ Stars! #3. Wifey ordered the Grilled Salmon salad. She ate the Salmon so fast that I barely had a chance to taste it. She said she really liked it, now I did get a chance to taste the salad and I must say that it was so good that it could have been a stand alone dish. Again 5 Stars. #4. And for dessert we had tiramisu. It came plated beautifully with a raspberry, strawberry, blackberry, whipped cream, and a beautiful orchid flower. The flavor while not the best I've had was still pretty darn good 4 Stars. Overall food and dining experience at the restaurant easily hits 5 stars! He came to our table just after we were seated and before we had a chance to look at anything. Stood there looking annoyed as we scrambled to look at the menu for drinks and appetizers. We very quickly told him we would need a few minutes. The few minutes though turned into 10-15 before he came back to take our order. The appetizer took an extremely long amount of time to get to table. The young man who brought it wasn't our server and did not check to see if we needed anything else. When our waiter eventually came back with our cocktails. He just held them out to the nearest person and made us pass them down the table. Eventually after another long wait, our meals arrived. Server nowhere to be found. By this time our first drinks and waters were empty. Server didn't come by for quite awhile after. Some of our party asked for more drinks and water. We never got more water. Server never came by mid meal to ask how we were doing. If we needed anything else. I would've ordered another drink if I had a shred of confidence that it would've been delivered before I finished my meal. Speaking of the cocktail. YOU DO NOT MUDDLE THE CHERRIES IN AN OLD FASHIONED. It was just a mash of fruit floating around at the bottom of the glass. We finally saw our server again when he came by to ask if we wanted desert. He dropped off the menus and then disappeared for another 10+ minutes. At which point I had to go find him to inform him that we wanted to order dessert since we were celebrating my father's birthday. When the other young man brought our desserts we had to ask for new plates and clean utensils. We again had to ask for more water since it wasn't brought when previously asked for. Our server then eventually showed up for the check. He told us the first card didn't go through. He did not do this quietly or with tact. He came back after the second card didn't go through. We did not get any banking notifications about these and inquired if perhaps their system was the problem. It wasn't until the third card didn't go through that he admitted they were trying to fix the problem on their end. He did not apologize. We've dined at this restaurant multiple times a year for several years. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had here. If you care at all about the service you pay for then I would suggest you avoid this restaurant. Very disappointed. Next time we'll be dining elsewhere.

The host booked the entire outside patio area, reserving about 15 tables, the back room for serving food, and space for a live singer and dancing. It was absolutely stunning. The restaurant allowed the host to set up a table for decorations and gifts, with custom decorations on each table too. There is a separate entrance for the outside patio that leads directly to the parking lot. This was nice because it made us feel separated from the rest of the restaurant. The patio area is gorgeous. There are grape leaves and vines covering the walls and ceiling. Even when it's sunny out, the plants provide a nice cover that keeps it shady and cool in there. There is also a pretty fountain where you can see birds taking a bath. It is very picturesque. The patio connects to the ballroom, bar, and restaurant if you need to access any of those things. For this event, the back banquet room was used for the food warmers for buffet-style serving. The entrees were pot roast, chicken marsala, and salmon Genovese. The sides were vegetables, mashed potatoes, sautéed mushrooms and bread. They had an employee carving the meat and serving it for the guests. I was unfortunately a bit disappointed with the food. To me, it all tasted quite bland and flavorless. The meat was tender, but lacked a distinct flavor. The vegetables seemed a little undercooked. There was also a spread of appetizers and drinks set out in the dining area (potstickers, teriyaki meatballs, iced tea, lemon water, and lemonade). I was also not pleased by these. The potstickers were alright - a little spicy and tangy. The meatballs were nice and plump, but I did not enjoy the sauce. The drinks were awful. The lemons used in the tea and water tasted almost rancid. The lemonade tasted like a lemon-scented cleaner. It was clearly made with some sort of powdered flavoring that tasted pretty nasty. For dessert, they served tiramisu and ice cream (spumoni maybe?). The tiramisu was delicious. It was incredibly soft and fluffy with a rich flavor. The service was very impressive here. Servers came frequently to clear dishes and bar glasses. They catered to requests well and brought the dessert plates quickly. They were friendly and served the large party of around 90 people efficiently. I would recommend Mama Mia as a party venue but with the caution that the food served (at least for this specific menu) could be improved.

We drove almost 3 hours to visit while spending the day in the area, and honestly, we would've rather grabbed fast food instead. What made it worse was that we were hoping to treat our mom to a nice meal, but all of us ended up disliking the food. The appetizer plates we were first given were visibly dirty, so we had to ask for clean replacements right away. A few people in our group ordered the loaded clam chowder since we'd seen so many positive reviews online, but it was extremely underwhelming. The seafood tasted undercooked and the soup itself had barely any flavor. The wait time was also frustrating. We received appetizers fairly quickly, but waited almost an hour and a half for our entrees. During that time, staff kept coming by offering extra bread and refills we didn't ask for, which honestly felt more like an attempt to make up for the long delay. Meanwhile, several larger parties that arrived after us were served their meals before we were, even though our group was only 5 people. What also made the experience uncomfortable was that once our food finally arrived, we felt rushed to leave. After waiting, staff were already trying to clear plates while some of us were still eating, which felt unfair considering the delay was completely out of our control. By the time the food finally arrived, the quality just did not justify the wait. Overall, it was a very disappointing Mother's Day experience, especially after driving so far. Sadly, we won't be returning.

My favorite is their #20--it never disappoints! And don't even get me started on the spring rolls... so fresh and delicious. What really makes this place stand out is the customer service. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and attentive. You can tell they truly care about their customers. If you're looking for great pho and a place that makes you feel taken care of, this is it. Highly recommend! They know me by name I go there almost every week!! Christina

I'm from San Jose, so I'm pretty picky about pho since you really can't beat the pho spots there…read more That said, Pho Morgan Hill actually comes pretty close and is a great option when I don't feel like driving out of town. I usually order their Wagyu pho, and the broth is rich and flavorful with really tender meat. They also offer chow fun noodles, which is a nice option if you want something different from the typical pho noodles. I'll also get the pho tai, and the portions are always generous. They also have nuoc beo (fatty broth) available, which makes the pho even richer if you like that extra flavor. On top of that, their fresh juices are really good and a great addition to the meal. For being in Morgan Hill, this place definitely holds its own. If you're craving pho locally and don't want to drive to San Jose, this spot hits the spot.
