First he was on time, he actually beat me to my own house and I'm very punctual. Once there he explained everything he was going to do before he got started. He thoroughly checked my HVAC unit and reported everything was in proper working condition. When he came inside to check the thermostat he noticed I had a wifi enabled thermostat. My home warranty wouldn't allow him to touch it (liability) but he was able to explain to me what I should look for to be the issue. We discussed the thermostat. Mr. Lyons explained that the thermostat I have is still under warranty and he suggested that I give them a call because they are a great company and stand behind their products and they are probably going to end up sending me a new one based on what we discussed to be the issue. I called them and was off and on the phone with them for 5hr. In the midst of me being on the phone with them I called Mr. Lyons back and explained to him what was going on. He told me to tell them the the system is working in proper condition and the blue wire is the main wire (paraphrased). Once I told the thermostat company that they ran multiple test to the point we blew the fuse troubleshooting. I had to run to Home Depot to get a new fuse!!! Once the thermostat company finally got my AC running they stated that my thermostat is faulty and because it's still under warranty they are sending me a brand new one (Just like Mr.Lyons said) and I can discard the current one once it comes in. If it wasn't for Mr. Lyon's I wouldn't have known my thermostat was still under warranty. I wouldn't have known what to say to them and I wouldn't be sitting in the AC right now. Definitely appreciate his thoroughness!

He found another short. Cut to the end.. 4 hours later he found . And fixed.. that some critters chewed thru the wires in back of the ac outside​. First, they appear to operate under two different business names, which was confusing from the start. After booking, I received repeated calls and messages from multiple phone numbers, which was excessive and unprofessional. More importantly, the technician's visit was extremely rushed. Based on both the tenant's account and the time-stamped text messages, the entire service call lasted approximately 15 minutes -- for a three-story townhouse with a rooftop fireplace. The technician came in, stood in front of the fireplace briefly, and then left. The written diagnosis was inaccurate and internally inconsistent, and it did not align with what was actually happening at the fireplace. As a result, the $99 inspection fee is money wasted, as it provided no real value or reliable information. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this company and will not be using them again

First time after the merging, the…read moretechnician was quickly here, but did not find the problem in the unit and replaced the old but still working thermostat with a defective one. When I told him the house temperature was 7 degrees off from the thermostat, he did not acknowledge this. Checked the unit again, and found a defective part of less than a year old. Thankfully they agreed to replace that under warranty. After 3 weeks, a former Total Comfort technician showed up and replaced the defective thermostat, with what seems to be a decent one. If you use these people make sure to ask for one of the good old boys from TC. I give 5 stars for him, but zero for the ACS person although he was a very nice boy.
