Energy efficient windows for the win! I am so very pleased with my new windows. Josh and his team were a pleasure to work with. Josh kept me updated throughout the process. I spoke with several neighbors who had recently replaced their windows and Josh's quote was far less than the competitors. I was amazed at how quickly and effortlessly the installers were able to replace all 14 of my windows (less than 5 hours). I was worried about having to clean up a big mess, but they cleaned up everything! It was like they were never here ... except that I almost immediately felt the difference in the room temperature. Requested a quote from them that came back at $2100+ to get the job done. Called a roofing company my real estate agent recommended, showed him Dr. Roof's report including drone photos, and the job was completed for $600 in less than an hour. We called and requested and estimate. Next day (Feb 5th)Todd came out and told us he wasn't sure the damage would even reach our deductible. Then he looked around some more and said that he was certain it would. He left telling us he would have an estimate later that evening and nothing. Texted him on the 6th at 1412 inquiring about the estimate and email address to send it to to which he responded "Absolutely! Thanks for reaching out, I'll get to work on that estimate this evening". Still received nothing. Texted him again on the 10th inquiring if he had sent it. No reply. Finally called the office on the 11th and the lady told me she would contact Todd to get it because it wasn't in the system. Todd was great when he was here, but follow through is lacking. I got my roof replaced in 2009 by Dr. Roof. 15 years later, in 2024 I got one of the plywood sheets twisting and tearing the shingles. As I was figuring out why it could happen, I realized that there was not a single soffit vent on the side of the roof where the damage has happened, which I believe was the probable cause of the damage. I took "Dr. Roof" for professionals and would think that a thorough roofing company should know the importance of soffit vents and would not fail to mention it to their clients before installing a roof on their house. read more

More weeks go by more rain comes more damage caused. So I hire Accent Roofing which I recommend you use. They are honest, professional & have a lot more experience than Dr. Roof. I let Cheryl know I've hired another company & I no longer want to use Dr. Roof, due to the way they've handled this. Cheryl expressed the same frustration however she was concerned that using another company would cause damage to what was already done. She asked me to please proceed with Dr. Roof because of that. Against my better judgment & trying to be a good neighbor I went ahead & stayed with Dr. Roof. I will say the ladies in the office were very professional. They were able to get me scheduled for the very next day which was Jan 26th, 2023. Another technician came out Ismael was the new technician who came. I was told he'd leave a door hanger, I was told they'd have pictures for me, I asked Ismael for photos & he told me he'd send request to office to send. I've yet to get photos. I asked him what the issue was & he stated the same thing others did. He said he replaced a piece of wood & added the flashing to stop the leak. I sent Cheryl a text advising her it was finally done. Roughly 30mins later I received a very inappropriate call from Andy. Andy calls me as if he's Cheryl attorney in what I feel was an aggressive, threatening way. He then states I'm calling because Cheryl doesn't want you to come after her for the interior damage like you did this. I said wow what? First, the job was done well and looks great. My problem is with the quote that was about $11000 and the finished bill of $23000. I understand that $2000 of sheeting was replaced, no problem with that. My problems were: -Charged for a power vent that was not installed, just removed steep or high roof even though he was up on it. I have the same issue as a few people on here. I called and find out what would be the cost to check out the roof for damages, they said nothing. They showed up have me sign a document. The unit price and total price on the invoice said 0.00 and nothing in the document references pricing so I am really not worried. They lost my business due to poor communication. They were screwing up from the start (people were randomly showing up on my roof without my knowledge, happens a few times). They finally sent out an estimate for a substitute product since the shingle I wanted allegedly was not available. Two other roofers gave me intimate for said shingle as they were well available at ABC supplies. Dr. Roof rep. was supposed to follow up with some additional information but he suggested to go ahead and sign the estimate and we can move forward and adjust whatever needs to be adjusted later. I just got a bad vibe and decided to stop communicating with them. They are now emailing me that if I do not sign the estimate by September 21, 2021, they will have to send me an invoice for "fees incurred". waiting to see how this plays out. Please do not give Dr. Roof one minute of your time until you read this review. To say I'm disappointed with their communication, customer service, speed and thoroughness would be a severe understatement. For back story, My wife and I have been plagued with leaks since 1 week after we bought our home, a little more than a year ago. After having 2 chimney company's come out and do work, we were advised we needed to instead talk to a roofing company as the chimney leaks we experienced were more than likely roofing related. At the same time, a new and aggressive leak popped up in our laundry room, going from a half-dollar water mark to 1.5' wide in a matter of weeks. I reached out to Dr Roof based on their reviews and worked with Thomas. I explained every issue we were having - the chimney leaks, the new laundry room leak, and an additional leak in our screened-in back porch dating back to the home purchase. He got up on the roof and in a matter of minutes was back down with his assessment of the issue. It's literally been all down hill from there. The saga of my experience with Dr Roof is much too long to write in the detail I'd like (Google already hit me with a character count limit. So here's the recap): - Thomas didn't provide a quote in-the-moment, like the other 4 companies who quoted did. He said this was because their was too much work, but he'd send it that day. (Strike one: He didn't send it until 24 hours later.) - For the chimney leak, he quoted new flashing, the installation of a cricket, and a new chimney cap. For the laundry room leak, the replacement of "all 3 pipe boots." For the screened-in porch, an entirely new roof. In total, $5700 for 3 separate projects. - I sent a series of follow up questions, because $5700 was a lot to pay out of pocket without the assistance of insurance, and because we couldn't discuss any of the quote in person. His response was nothing short of defensive, confrontational and unprofessional. He never answered any of my questions, but said that if I didn't do it as-quoted it wouldn't be covered under warranty and "I must base my professional opinion and form my assessment on the basis that any and ALL of the previous work has not and will not correct the issue. This being said negates any of the contractors previous work, opinions or how much money were paid to those contractors for unprofessional and sub par work." - I then asked if there was anything that could be done on the price if I tackled all 3 projects at once and did the full scope of work. He said yes, however to this day, while writing this, it's been 7 days and he still hasn't sent a new estimate. - In these 7 days, I went ahead and got a quote from another extremely well-reviewed company - Academy Roofing. Their master roofer's quote told a very different story. - According to Academy, Thomas made a number of huge errors. - First, there were FOUR pipe boots on our roof, not 3 as Thomas quoted. He was so thorough in his assessment he completely missed one of the boots during his walk of the roof. Secondly, Academy said that the laundry room leak had nothing to do with the pipe boot and that was a bad diagnosis. He climbed into our attic and showed pictures that the leak was coming in from 3 separate spots, several feet from the pipe boot. He showed my wife and I pictures of rusted out nails that had caused an entire 4 foot section of the roof to become completely rotted, hence why we had such major water pooling in such a short period of time. - Secondly, he said a cricket was a terrible recommendation and what a lot of roofers will do because they cost a lot of money but there are better, cheaper options. Wonderful. As for the back roof, he agreed it was completely dead. - Academy provided a new quote, replacing the entire section of rotted roof, repairing all the rusted nails, installing a new roof on the back porch, and fixing the leak around the chimney - all of it - for $1500 LESS than Dr. Roof. - Let me emphasize. Thomas's quote came in 24 hours late, he was defensive in answering questions, and stated a pipe boot was what was needed when in fact the boot was completely fine, and he missed a four foot section of rotten roof that needed to be replaced. And his quote was STILL $1500 more. - Academy provided the quote in-the-moment and answered all my questions, on the spot. - More of the story: getting a quote from Dr Roof? Get one from Academy instead. You may just pay $1500 more than you need, to a company that didn't even count the number of pipes correctly, missed a section of rotten wood, and when asked to answer questions got defensive and border-line hostile. read more

We had a leak coming in through the walls of our dining room and Shannon with Dr. Roof did a very thorough inspection and identified the problem that two other roofing companies could not. Of course, those companies also gave me estimates of hundreds of dollars of work for what they thought "might" be the problem. Had Dr. Roof replace our home roof and existing skylights. Overall, the experience could have been much better. Biggest overall problem was communication. First, of the crew that was sent no one spoke enough English to be able to answer any questions. Somehow got behind and they were continuing to work until it was almost dark, which probably accounted for some of the problems. Second, the skylights were not installed correctly. Took weeks to get the issue resolved. Siding was damaged at the chimney where it tied into the roof line. Never got a good explanation for that. There was a project manager who was bilingual, and nice young man who did his best, but he was rarely on-site and was not experienced enough to address the concerns. Kept getting emails that our payment was overdue when we told them we were not paying until all the issues were resolved. In the end, the roof looks nice and there have been no issues with any leaking. Skylight issue was resolved. The siding issue we will just have to address later. Bottom line is poor communication. read more

We contracted with Dr. Roof to install a new Bitumen roof on the back side of our home and to repair flashing around one skylight and two dormers. Watching "the maestrao" work to install the roof was impressive. He showed me every area of damage underneath the top layer of roofing, stripped the extra layers of roofing, and laid the bitumen with great care. It is always hard to find a good roofer. I am glad I found these guys. Heard them on the radio and was very pleased with the work they did. We replaced our entire roof with architectural shingles from GAF and they look great. The crew was very careful with our landscape and took their time covering our Japanese maple in the front of the house. We have used Dr Roof to have our roof replaced in the past as well as minor repairs. * Update in response from Dr Roof: I was promised a phone call which I have yet to receive after being promised this would be escalated. ** Update #2: After speaking with several people in the office it was explained that the way we were billed was due to a software configuration issue. Called to have repairs made on my house. I was on hold for 10 minutes. When they picked up I asked for an estimate to have a few repairs made on our cedar house. I explained to her that we have many issues going on with the siding of the house ranging in severe to minor on each side of the home. She then asked if Hardie Plank is ok to repair our house with. I said that would be fine. Then she asked if we'd be repairing one side or all four. I explained again that I have issues on each side and that we would like to have repairs made to fix the existing issues. She then informs me that they don't touch a house unless they are replacing the siding from corner to corner. This is not my first time dealing with companies like this. I feel they are taking advantage of us and want to bully us into a bigger project than we are financially ready for. I don't appreciate this form of business and I think it's telling as to how they treat and care for their customers. They think only in terms of $. In several words: EXCEPTIONAL EXPERTISE and HONESTY Dr. Roof has my unconditional recommendation. I am a retired Delta Air Lines pilot. As you might imagine, typically pilots are sticklers for perfection. At my age, I have experienced many different contractors of all types (I have owned, both now and in the past, multiple residences). No other contractor of any type I have hired has even approached the professionalism,craftsmanship, thoroughness, and attention to details of Dr. Roof's crew. In GAF Golden Pledge roofing and in HardiePanel and HardieSiding, Dr. Roof used techniques and materials I did not know existed. My employment as a pilot provided me enough time between trips to be actively involved during any contractor's work. For example, I read books before seeking proposals for my previous roof so I would be familiar with industry standards and practices. To insure the proper materials and techniques were used for both roof replacements I was on the roof almost the entire time both the new roofs were being installed. I had thought the the other roofers did a superlative job. That was until hail damaged the roof and it was replaced by Dr. Roof. I then discovered how to replace a roof properly with no compromises, no shortcuts, advanced material selections, and unique techniques--none of which I found in roofing books. Simply AMAZING. Furthermore, even though I had already covered it with cardboard, Dr. Roof's workers protected my Trex deck by covering it with 4'x8' sheets of plywood, followed by a new large tarp, followed by another, older, tarp (probably to protect the new tarp). They used large tarps to make awnings around my home so they could divert any scraps to more tarps laid on the ground to collect roofing materials. An awning and ground tarp were even installed above the already protected deck--I do not think anything even reached the protected deck. It took three days to remove and replace my roof. Each day they would clean up THOROGHLY, pack everything up--including the tarps, and the next day they would reinstall the awning and ground tarps. For the removal, they took the extra effort to haul all the old materials across my roof to my driveway, rather than drop them into a landscaped areas. In the end, they left NOTHING behind, and did NO DAMAGE to my landscape. I never found a single nail (we are ornamental garden enthusiasts--we would have found them), and only four pieces of about 1" wide 18" long pieces of transparent film that keep the shingles from sticking together at the adhesive strip. The film strips are so light they probably blew beyond the tarps, so that was fully expected and acceptable. The roofers were AMAZING. And they did not cost any more than the run-of-the-mill roofer. AMAZING. Dr. Roof's Huso and Marino have done several carpentry projects for me, including both HardieSiding, HardiePanel, and replacing some rotted window framing and trim. They could not be better. I do not have enough superlatives. They also are AMAZING. I could not ask for better craftsmen. And they ARE craftsmen, not ordinary carpenters. BTW, I received proposals from several roofing contractors to replace my roof due to hail damage (paid for by USAA insurance). Dr. Roof was the only roofer not to offer to refund my insurance deductible. If a contractor is dishonest enough to cheat an insurance company, how can he be trusted to not cheat a homeowner? I had used Dr Roof in 2005, after extensive research to replace my entire roof. Since then they've done several repairs and I've been pleased. They were efficient and professional, responsive and well organized. If there was an emergency, somebody was dispatched the same day. He would do a temporary patch or tarp and schedule the real work for an appropriate sunny day. I recommended them to anyone who asked me for a referral. They were honest, decent, reliable and offered quality work for a fair price. They earned my trust and loyalty. Things have changed since the original owner sold the business. I believe it is now a franchise. They're a mess. Communication is terrible. Follow up doesn't exist. Confusion reigns. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing and worst of all - the customer is blamed for their mistakes. While saying they want to make things right they make no concrete offer for action. Apologies are given, accompanied by an excuse that negates the apology. No remedy is offered that would resolve an issue. Because of their lack of professionalism, I had much more subsequent water damage to my home and personal property. I had to make a claim on my homeowner's insurance. A $2,000 job turned into a $12,000 loss. In my 20 years as a homeowner, I've experienced crooked contractors, incompetent contractors, no-show contractors, and drunken contractors. In a profession rife with deficiencies, Dr. Roof is in a special category. The dumbest thing to tell to a dissatisfied customer is how many happy customers you have. That's irrelevant to a person who feels badly treated. It's like if you got food poisoning at a restaurant and the owner says, "We have many, many customers who feel fine after eating our food. Oh, yes, and here are our many awards from sites we advertise on." read more

They offered to come give a free estimate, then ask you to sign a form. BE CAREFUL !!!!!! This is a binding contract for the job, and you have only 3 days to get out of it. Then to cancel over the phone you have to be transferred to another person etc. I do not appreciate this approach to business. Overall, a very positive experience. Leann arrived as scheduled for the quote and Hector was our on site quality assurance representative. Workmanship and attention to detail was excellent. I'll be going up on the roof this weekend to get a first-hand look. Entire roof replacement along with 19 decking repairs took 3 days and was completed 2 weeks ago. Coordination between dumpster drop-off, pick-up and materials drop-off was good. You'll need to be at home for dumpster and materials drop-off, which is typically 1-2 days prior to job start. They use tarps to protect shrubs, decks, etc. and do a fairly good job of cleaning up after each day. If you have dogs that need to go into the back yard during the job, make sure to "borrow" their rolling magnet and and go over any area where paws may touch the ground. Be sure to poop scoop immediately prior to job start. The only down side for my job was the existing gutter guards. They did a good job of getting them back in place as best they could but they won't look perfect, but good enough is better than replacing the gutter guards at extra $$. Beware of nails coming off the roof after the first heavy rain. Lots of old nails and some new ones were apparently left on the roof so check all areas around the house after the first heavy rain. read more

I reached out to schedule an estimate on roofing repairs. Set appointment for 8am and was told technically the guy would be there between 8-9am but since it was first thing should be closer to 8am. Fair enough. I stayed home from work to meet estimator. By 8:45am I had not seen anyone and called dispatch to get ETA. They informed me that they had a new system as of March and that it somehow had not notified the rep and no one was in transit. I took my business elsewhere as if you can't properly schedule an estimate why would I let you work on one of the most important parts of our house? P.S. a 90 day old system having errors sounds more like an operator problem to me. read more

I called Dr Roof because I had a leak in the roof over my 2nd floor bedroom. The technician came out. I showed him the water stain and he asked if I had an attic and asked if it had drop down steps. I told him he could only access the attic with a ladder. He chose not to go out to his truck and get a ladder so he never entered the attic or went up on the roof. He took 3 pictures from the ground of what he could see and told me it was the flashing and sent me an estimate for $850.00. Needless to say I did not use this company. I called another company and they went into the attic and found the leak. Then he went up on the roof and back into the attic. It was not the flashing. Dr Roof had a salesman to come out and quote to repair a leak at a pipe vent. The repair person came and replaced both vent boots and a shingle at the chimney. My issue was when the repair people came out they were in an unmarked van, no uniform or shirt representing Dr Roof and no identification as employees of Dr. Roof. I called and inquired and found that Dr Roof subcontracts out all repair jobs. I was told that is the industry standard. The subcontractor did the work within a couple hours. Of course, I will have to see if the leak is fixed at the next rain. The work appears to be fine at this point. Again, my concern was the appearance of the workers and the unmarked van/vehicle. Finally, it was difficult to carry on a conversation with the repairman because he spoke broken English. There was a lady driving for the repairman. I figured that he did not have a drivers license. I had a horrible experience with Dr. Roof Atlanta Inc. Phillip Petit the salesman sold me a $27,000.00 siding job. Huso Osojkic Construction Service Manager refused to make his guys clean up before they left each day. They left empty smashed soda cans, trash, siding with nails in them and all around my house. They left all kinds of debris around my house with tools. equipment and ladders both days at night while they went home for the day. The second day they damage my camera system, broke my window and left my air condition panel off and it was damaged by rain overnight. I spoke with Agustin Valzguez Construction Services Quality Control who denied everything and was very rude. As a result Huso Osojkic, Phillip Petit and Agustin Valzguez while siding was removed from my home by Dr. Roof Atlanta, Inc. Told their workers to pack up and remove all materials with tools and abandon my home. Now with missing siding when it rains it comes into my home where the siding was removed. We used Dr Roof and, unfortunately, had a very bad experience. We hired them following a recommendation by a neighbor to fix a leak in the roof above the living room. The estimate, which also served as a contract, clearly provides a 1-year warranty. The leak has not been fixed, it still persists, so much so that we have to use towels every time it rains hard. However, the original sales representative, James W, insists that the warranty does not cover the leak issue. He proposed additional work, and, of course, at an additional and significant charge. Entirely dishonest. Very disappointing experience. Stay away from this company. read more

Beware, we had a few different things completed at one time. Work was good for the most part because I was able to leave work early and catch oversights and have them fixed while the crew was still at our home. However, when it came to installing the flashing above our bay window, they installed strip flashing for the price of step flashing. When I voiced my concern I was called by the installer who only focused on telling me that this was the best repair that could be made. The second person took the same approach and did not seem concerned that I was not pleased at all with the work. Make sure you get every detail in writing or you may have the same experience. If you are not fully satisfied, be prepared. They will not listen to you. Average customer service, well below average customer respect! read more

Dr Roof provided us a new roof in 2012. We had a great experience with them then and had a great experience with them this week. We are experiencing a leak in our master bedroom and we had a company come out to check for broken pipes in the bulkhead and there were none. We were advised to contact a roofer and since we already had a relationship with Dr Roof, I called them. Sean came out, he walked into rooms, he then got on the roof, and then he made his assessment. Guess what? Our leak issue is not from the roof but instead a plumbing issue! I thanked Sean profusely for coming out and being patient. He found our issue so my next call is to a plumber! Shannon came out to my home To diagnose a leak. Took her time, evaluated the situation and came back with a plan. Which ultimately didn't involve a problem with my roof. Could have probably advised that I spend money with them and not solved the problem. Instead, she was honest and gave good advice. read more

I just had Dr. Roof come out to rebuild and replace my chimney shroud and pan. When I initially called, the office staff was friendly and professional, and they were able to set me up with a quick appointment. When dealing with a leak, the quicker the appointment, the better! I met with the roofer and he explained everything in detail, showing me diagrams and photographs of what was going on with my chimney. He gave me a good estimate, and was also able to set up the job to be completed in a quick timeframe. Overall, I was extremely pleased with the work I had completed by Dr. Roof! I had gotten estimates and talked to other roofing companies in Atlanta, but my experience dealing with the staff and roofers at Dr. Roof was by far the best! I will be using them in the future for all roofing needs, especially now that it has rained and I've been able to see that their work actually worked. No more leaks from my chimney! read more

I called the company and was on hold for about 10 mins and then spoke to a customer service agent, and explained to her that we needed a roof leak repaired. She took copious notes and after several detailed questions and an extensive conversation, she said that someone would be in touch with me shortly to schedule an appointment. I did not hear from anyone and several hours later, I called again. This time there was another customer service agent, and she appeared to have no clue that I had called earlier. I asked her whether there were any notes on the computer about my earlier call, and she said that there was not, but that she would be happy to help. I explained to her that I had already called and explained in detail what the problem was and was told that someone would call back. She was absolutely unapologetic, and simply said: "We have so many calls per day - I simply don't know why your call was not registered....." NOT VERY GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE! read more
