I'd like to think I'm a "regular" here. I stop in at least every two months. Sometimes for a specific piece of furniture, sometimes for something small. The selection is eclectic and there is a pretty decent turnover of stock, although this also depends on how frequently the dealers restock their goods. Each section is different. This location is particularly good for furniture, especially coffee tables and chairs (don't expect to come here for your next dining table), as well as drinking glasses for your chic bar setup. Several of the dealers also have great vintage photos if you are into that sort of thing. Each dealer prices things a little differently, some dealers are a little steep while others are reasonable. Sometimes you can haggle though for a better price, depending on the item. read more

Hands down the best vintage store around Texas. A must stop for us whenever we're travelling in Dallas, we always walk out of this place with goods in tow. There are 2 locations, as other reviewers have mentioned. Both are good, but this one is easily the best. This one has a huge selection of all things mid-century. Clothing, signs, toys, housewares, furniture, accessories, and generally interesting. This shop is on a street with lots of other antique shops. Large location with lots of vendors! You can spends hours in here picking through all the booths searching for treasure. While a lof of the booths offer MCM goods there are still a good number of other periods or types of goods represented. Prices vary by each vendor and some offer sales. As goods and vendors come and go, I like to return to Lula B's and shop. read more

My girlfriend is a longtime patron and fan of the Deep Ellum location of Lula B's, so when we were down the street from here eating at Rodeo Goat, we thought we'd stop by and check out the goods! The location is deceptively large, and there was a good selection of items. My girlfriend saw two items in particular that she liked - a tapestry and a sombrero - in a "booth" that was advertising "50% Off Everything." She took the items up front and confirmed that they were 50% off the last marked price (there appeared to have been prior mark-downs on the items, though simple math showed these mark-downs were not at 50%). The employee confirmed the price, and we left the items up front while we looked around some more. When we came back to pay, however, a different employee intervened as we were being rung up, arguing loudly that "she knows the booth's owner, and he would never sell the items for that little." When we suggested she look at the 2 "50% off everything" signs that were in the booth, she then got even more hostile, telling us loudly "you would NEVER find a sombrero for this price." Of course, I HAD found someone selling for that much, but they were now simply refusing to honor that price. Meanwhile, the employee who had confirmed the items' prices to us earlier refused to even acknowledge our presence as we sought to have her confirm what she had previously told us. In the end they refused the honor the marked prices - prices which they themselves had then confirmed to us - and my girlfriend was so upset at the rude treatment, we left without purchasing anything. Had someone thought at the time of our purchase to simply suggest to us, apologetically, that there had been some error in their pricing, it would have been a different matter. But instead, their employee verbally attacked us for the simple act of seeking to make a purchase at the price THEY advertised. All told, the hostility we were shown was quite shocking to me, and we will definitely leave our vintage shopping for the Deep Ellum location in the future. read more

The two stars are for the excellent selection of vintage goods. I give absolutely NO stars for their customer service. My mother, sisters in law and I arrived here at 5pm one evening and spent about 45 minutes looking at all the fun stuff they had. After we were sure we had seen everything, it was time to start buying. We began asking questions about some pieces, how they were priced and what-not. The woman at the desk was soooo RUDE! She wouldn't even look up from counting the money in the cash register to answer us! She even had the nerve to turn off the lights WHILE we were still in the store!! Needless to say, we left empty handed even though there were several things we would have purchased. I would find other vintage/antique stores to go to if I were you. read more

I'm not familiar with the Dallas consignment & antique market, but I frequent consignment stores in other parts of the country (Los Angeles, Boston, Houston, etc.). I really like Lula's. It's big enough to get lost in for a happy hour of treasure hunting. I'm always on the lookout for creative one-of-a-kind gifts, and especially love elegant glass vases and art. I was impressed with the selection and variety, as well as quality. As with any consignment/antique store, prices can vary. Some were kind of high, but quite a few were lower than expected, and in general I felt the prices were as should be expected. I went in searching for a gift for someone else, and picked up a complete vintage croquet set in excellent condition for myself for $35. Happy shopping! read more

The blond lady late this afternoon (who was at the register when I walked in) asked if I needed assistance with my items. I said no. I only had 4 items (two of which were clothing items which I decided to put back) after she "eye scanned" all four items. She then asks me "didn't you have more items?" I replied" yes, but I put them back." I proceed to the register to purchase the two other items, (where there was already another lady assisting me) and here she comes again. I love antique malls. This one was ok. A lot of 70's stuff rather than actual antiques. Generally I want stuff at an antique store to be older than I am...otherwise it's a "Nostalgia Mall" but oh well. Still a fun way to browse away an hour. Seemed to have fairly reasonable prices. If you're on the lookout for glass serving sets, you'll be in heaven here. read more

Like the other LulaB's this is an oasis of antiques with a pop culture twist. This one is more the province of furniture than anything else. It is a truly amazing shop and certainly worth your time. Plus there are like 20 antique stores in the area so check em all out. read more

i would give no stars if i could. there were plenty of cool interesting items, however the employees were disgusting. i went up to purchase something and the racist old lady started helping me, then a sans melanin patron walked up and inquired about the price of an item, she stopped helping me and made a phone call to help the other customer. there were two employees up front, the other employee could have helped the other patron. instead i was left waiting for about 10 minutes before i just left without purchasing a thing. pass on this place if you're a poc or decent human being w morals. read more

I like consignment stores but this place just wasn't for me. The different vendors/sections of the stores offer different things. Some sections were better than others. In general, I didn't feel like there was any great quality item that I HAD to have. I felt like I was at a big garage sale with a lot of plastic items from the 1970s. Other reviewers are right - this place has a lot of vintage, sort of kitschy things, not antiques. But that's exactly what I want so that's fine by me! There are two Lula Bs locations and they are both worth going to, but this location was our favorite, just because we found more things to buy here. Lots of mid-century modern furniture, lots of vintage refrigerator dishes, pottery, glassware. Really cool store, staff was super friendly. This is the "smaller " location, but it cram packed with interesting things! A must visit place if you're in Dallas antiqueing. read more

Went to both Lula B's and will be going back to both when in town. Each is unique in its own right and selection is definitely worth return trips. I was not impressed with the staff at the Riverfront store. They were superficial and appeared inconvenienced with having to be on site. Flip the coin, I was impressed with the staff at the Ft Worth Ave store. They were knowledgeable and welcoming, especially Laverne and Shirley. read more

I went shopping at Lula B's because I was redecorating my house. This antique store is well organized, big enough that you're not overwhelmed by everything, and have some really great finds! The store attendants were very helpful and checked-in on me periodically to collect my finds and put them all together for me to review. My only note is that yes, there are great prices and items that are cheaply priced... But I also found the same items elsewhere, even cheaper. So I suggest that unless your in love and can't live without, put it on hold for a day and make sure it's not cheaper elsewhere. If you antique, you'll know which items to grab and which to keep looking, just in case... read more

Great and cool finds at a good conditions. Found a 100% silk kimono at 20 bucks! And a lace shawl. Tha last one was a bit overpriced but couldn't leave it. Must of the furniture are really expensive. For half of the price I can find good and funky quality pices. read more

In general think this store is over-hyped. Maybe my expectations were too high as I was given the recommendation to come here from their sister store and saw their yelp reviews prior to coming. Sales staff is paranoid your going to steal so browsing/having a relaxing time shopping in the store is challenging. In general selection of items is pretty poor with the exception of their vintage clothing. Their selection of vintage clothing is pretty impressive, however all their clothing is at the back and in the loft, so if you linger around too long (aka actually try and look through the racks and try a few items on) their sales staff will start following you/asking you specifically what your looking for and generally make it obvious they think you are trying to steal something. I understand the concern for shoplifting, however their level of paranoia is something I have not encountered. Makes browsing/having a relaxing time shopping in the store challenging. Judging by some of the other reviews, don't think I am the only one that noted poor customer service/rudeness of staff. Their sister store on continental is a lot easier deal with. read more

I recently went on a crazy vintage bender. I blame too much Mad Men on my Netflix queue. On a trip back from the Bishop Arts District, I screeched to a halt in front of Lula B's West. Apparently, this is the OTHER Lula B's. Lawd, have mercy. I can't imagine this much vintage crap in lots o' places. (Save Dolly Python.) Rows and rows of items from all decades await you. Mind you, you do have to do a bit of digging especially in the clothes department but man, is it worth it. I scored a turban, some pearls, and several mod 60's scarves for cheap. I also fell in love with a charmingly art deco dry bar from the same era. There are some crazy things and some kooky things but everything is definitely worth pawing through on an afternoon when you have lots of time to kill. Located over near the Design District, parking can get pretty bad and you need to be careful backing out on to the busy street. However, I think the street has a lots of character. Vintage and a drive through daquiri place all on the same street? I'm in love. read more

I frequent the Deep Ellum Lula B's but happened to pass the Riverfront location and was excited to find all kinds of awesomeness. And I quickly did! The bonus was that 2 items I fell in love with were in a booth with multiple signs saying "entire booth 50% off". I took the items to the front to inquire if the price listed was the final price or if the 50% discount would then be applied to it. To my excitement, Person(A) confirmed it would be 50% off the listed price. I'm a consignment/thrift/vintage junkie and know that with multiple vendors with various discounts, the front desk can sometimes be wrong. It's why I checked. Well, after finding additional full price items, I headed to check out. Person (A) was busy. Person (B) told me they had called the booth vendor to confirm price. I mentioned Person (A) already confirmed. Enter rude, condescending, snarky Person (C). I don't have room here to list all the things she snapped at me. But one included an eye roll and look of disgust at my gall to think I'd get something for 50% off. I calmly referred to signs and previous confirmation by Person (A). That snooty person kept spouting ridiculously irrational BS she thought was "logic" including "he'd NEVER sell those at those prices". I again referred to his signs and previous confirmation. Had any of them told me "oops....that sign was misleading and those prices are final", I most likely would have still bought them. Her rudeness and attitude cost them the sales and any future sales. Sad day. Deep Ellum Lula B's is a ray of sunshine for cool things for cool people. The Riverfront store apparently is for the people who don't mind being treated like morons for reading and believing the signage posted within the store. My vote for most unwelcoming vintage store in Dallas. read more

I want to start off by saying that I love the variety of items that Lula B's offers at both locations and I usually can't leave without purchasing something. I went to the one on Riverfront not too long ago for the first time and I CAN NOT say I had the best experience for 2 main reasons. The first one being that as I was walking through out the store two of the staff members that were there kept on bickering and arguing at one another very loudly about where things needed to be placed in the store. They did this without consideration of the fact that people usually like to shop in a peaceful environment. The second reason is I found a couple of items I wanted to purchase that had original tags on it for no more than $2 a piece. The same items had Lula B price tags on it selling each one for more than $10 a piece. When I brought this to the attention of the lady at the register she told me that it was not good to have two price tags on it but that I would have to pay the price tag that had the higher price on it. read more

Should be zero stars (required to put at least one although not deserved) not because it isn't a cool store with really cool stuff because it is and it does but zero stars for their horrible customer service and how they mistreat and lie to their customers. If you see it, like it and want it then you best better BUY IT because despite their verbal agreement to "hold it 24 hours" or their offer to put it on a 90 day lay-a-way they will literally sell it out from under you and LIE ABOUT IT! Again as stated in Kristi's comment from 8/29/2012, it was the woman at the front desk and she not only didn't do what she said she would do she LIED about it! This experience will cost them my business and I am in customer service and will use them as an example of how NOT to do business EVERY time I get a chance! read more
