This review is for the location inside the skating rink but I'm going to share it here as well. First, maybe it's my fault for ordering from this location inside of a skating rink because what I got was skating rink caliber food. I thought I was ordering from the other location. My bad! I can't believe she opened another location where she apparently has not improved on her business practices. I have ordered at this location and waited over an hour for my order. The food was STAMP just like Schlim said, but the wait is just ludicrous. So the couple times I went there after I just packed my patience. This evening I needed to grab some food quickly before heading to an event. I had no idea what I wanted. Open up the app and LMG popped up. I ordered for pickup on Uber Eats. When I arrived, almost an hour after I placed the order, they said they needed a "couple minutes" after she went over and finally looked at it. They do not check the app orders. They have no business dealing with anything not right in front of them. They can barely handle that! That couple minutes turned into an hour. I had to finally go up to the counter when I saw other people getting their food quickly. That got the woman behind the counters attention. Because I think she forgot again. She apologized and said they had been swamped. Is that my problem? Then she tried to offer me a drink for compensation. Um, are we talking about the same drink I ordered and paid for. At that point I just wanted to go. Got home and opened the food. As long as it took, you would have thought it was freshly cooked. Everything looked like it had been sitting around all day. When I saw the turkey wings as a special, I knew I had screwed up. It was old. The gumbo greens were disappointing. They burned it and had the nerve to serve it to me as if I wouldn't notice. I have it sitting here with the lid on, the burnt smell keeps smacking me in the face. Here's the best part. The oxtail egg rolls did not taste freshly cooked. After I started eating the second one, I found these cooked inside. It's not edible or part of the stuffing It's definitely some kind of plastic. Disgusting. The turkey wings and Mac and cheese were barely edible. Especially the mac and cheese. I have eaten before at their other location and despite the extra long wait there too, the food was fresh and tasted great. No complaints there. So I was expecting food that would make it worth the wait. This time, they had the nerve to make me wait on barely edible food. Food that absolutely belonged inside of the bowling alley it's located in. Extremely disappointing. I won't ever be going back. I don't give my hard earned money to restaurants that waste my time and serve slop containing plastic to add insult to injury. read more

So I tried to order today because of a review on IG. According to the IG, they are open at the Baltimore and temple hills locations... ALL DAY EVERYDAY. The page only has links for you to online order from the Baltimore locations though. Once I arrive, the door is locked with a sign to call for pick up order. I call and am greeted with "Hello" and that's it. So I ask if this is Lula Mae's stating that I'd like to place an order. I was then told they only do DoorDash or uber eats orders. I stated that site isn't on the ig to place and order. I was told that if I type the business name in DoorDash or uber eats while I'm standing outside, it'll come up. I told the young gentleman to have a great day. He wasn't rude, but I won't be supporting this business. Something about this interaction didn't sit right with me. I really wanted to love this place but I expected more. We placed our order and waited about 45 minutes for food. I've heard of long wait times but I didn't expect 45 minutes. I originally asked for the sauce on the side as it was recommended in a previous review from someone else and they put it on anyway. I am not a fan of the sauce. The fish was also cold and wet from the container. I live less than 10 minutes away. The Mac & Cheese has a different taste I wasn't use to. The greens were good. This is my fifth time ordering from Lula Mae's Gardin. The first two times it was spot on and absolutely amazing- I love that they added this cute little flower to the design of the food. To me presentation as well as taste a major factor - if you have one without the other you haven't mastered the package. Even though it's delivery that added touch with the flower elevates the presentation! I've never actually went to the restaurant and I usually order it on Uber eats. Once the food never got delivered - the uber driver said it was taking way to long to pick it up which was a little disappointing because I was ordering for my boyfriend and I wanted to surprise him. However when I have received the orders it is usually seasoned nice and they give great portion sizes. Service was amazing. The lady at the front was friendly. The place is cute and small. The food was a mix. The seafood salad was 7/10 real crab meat and shrimp just the noddles was unnecessary. The strawberry banana pudding was 10/10 amazing will go back for that. The granny rolls was 6/10 i wouldn't necessarily return for that. The collard greens overpowered everything in the soul roll. Smh ,Ordered oxtail nachos with a side of mac. Couldn't wait to get home and try it but i saw there was Pico De gio (i am allergic to cilantro & hate raw onions) on the nachos which wasn't put on the menu under the iteam. so i went back and asked if i can exchange with something diffrent because i didn't know it came with that in there nor does it say it does. The owner said she can't give me a refund or exchange my food because she would be taking a "loss" , but i can pick the items out of my food... I didn't argue just left and threw it away. What can I say!! This is my first time ordering and it will not be my last. Unfortunately, I used Uber eats so I can not speak on the interior or staff but I'll definitely be making my way inside very soon. This is what I will be reviewing today: Salmon spinach Alfredo: delicious! I love the rigatoni noodles. The salmon is seasoned perfectly, good portion and just enough sauce. For me, I like a kick so I'll be adding a dash of cayenne but overall, the flavor profile is on target Curry chicken rolls: the curry definitely comes through, as well as a hint of sweetness. Good flavor, nice portion. Would I order again, possibly. I wasn't overly moved, but don't get me wrong, they have a nice flavor. I'm thinking the exterior became soggy in transport and also the rice is throwing me off too. My overall review, I will definitely make this a staple spot and try more menu items. I used Uber Eats to try this place out. Overall I enjoyed my meal. The steak mac & cheese egg rolls were good. The flavor was tasty and well put together. The sauce on the rolls made it delicious. I suggest putting the sauce on the side when doing to go orders. The salmon spinach Alfredo was good. It had a nice Cajun flavor to it. The salmon was cooked perfect. I wish there was more spinach in the pasta and a little more salt which would have made the dish a 5 star dish. The banana pudding was perfect. No complaints. I know, I know. It hasn't even been a week and I'm back! Had to have those lamb chops and brussels sprouts again. They were calling my name! BUT as I was perusing the menu, I noticed they had fish tacos fir under $10. I've never had fish tacos mainly because they always come with a mango salsa (that's a no for me) and the fish isn't usually one of my favs BUT this was whiting (safe mild fish) and came with a cucumber slaw. So glad I added them to the order as they were delicious. Whiting well seasoned and the batter (they were fried) held up to the slaw / wet ingredients. The slaw was a balance of crisp sweetness and refreshing tang. I'd def order again. As always, the portions are nice so I didn't get to my lamb chops and brussels tonight (yummy lunch for tomorrow). I will not be spending my money here again for this over priced food whose quality did not match. Here is the rundown: Peach Crack Iced Tea - Too syrupy sweet. Crab Egg Rolls - Lacked flavor and were dry. There was a sauce decoratively drizzled across the top. Peach Cobbler - It tasted like it was not completely cooked. I saw this food truck once before and have been wanting to stop and try them, yesterday was the day. The customer service was good and the food presentation was awesome. The food was fresh and the portions were ample. The prices were within reason. I ordered the Jerk chicken tacos they were good and flavorful and fresh, just needed a little more sauce. I also got the hot honey wingettes with potato salad and collard and kale greens. The greens had too many stems but they were still good, the potato salad was delicious and the hot honey wings flavorful, I just wish the sauce was a bit thicker so it could have stuck to the wings more, the sauce was a bit thin. Like I didn't think wings could be improved upon but lula mae did her thing! The lemon pepper was slightly overpowered by the honey but yes. Get these. The collards were too mushy and not seasoned. Pass on these. The brussels were a bit greasy. NOW THE STAR?! the star is definitely the curry cabbage. I got it on a whim and it was the best whim ever. It's not spicy at all.
